it's great to see more positive reactions towards this episode. most people I've seen disliked how starlight had to solve the conflict alone for the most part rather then team up with sunset or just thought juniper turned around way too easily. I personally loved this episode and it makes me upset to see so many people shut it down for just those reasons alone

I like how EG goes more back to the original MLPs villain roots in terms of what kind of villians they are: Original serieses big villains consistent mostly of villains who used powerful magical artifacts/whatnot (Tireks rainbow of darkness, Catrinas Witch weed potion etc) or something stolen from others (arabus stole shadows, sonumbula stole youth). There rarely was villain who was powerful by their nature, like for excample Smooze was. Now, we have magical artifacts that give people power and sirens stealing hate to make themselfs powerful. Its just nice little thought back at the series.
Kind of nice to see what Sunset Shimmer looked like as a pony. Because in the first Equestria Girls movie, I don't think we got a good look at her. As well as Starlight Glimmer, as a human.
Sunset seemingly having a harder time getting used to her pony form again this time doesn't bother me because I don't think we actually see her arrive in Equestria in the first film so for all we know she could have spent an hour or two skulking around while she got used to having twice as many legs and magic again.
Those extra hours (not shown for time reasons in the movie) also explains how she found about the element of magic being on the crown of a new "princess" sleeping right next door (as she could not recognize Twilight later because she has never watched her with good lighting). -> Sunset probably just read about it from some "official records" or newspapers stored in the castle, instead of talking/mind_raping some random crystal pony guard.

Sunset has one of my favorite Pony designs in the series. I think eventually I'll make a list of my favorite MLP designs in the future lol. I am just hoping these specials are helping setting up to another EQG movie.
With the whole concept of Sunset coming back to Equestria in this special, I was hoping that she'd run into Celestia and perhaps we'd finally get that heartfelt, apologetic moment that a lot of us would probably want to see. However, I still enjoyed this special for what it is. It was wonderful to see pony Sunset again, with the inclusion of Starlight being part of the plot.

Juniper Montage still isn't looked fondly in my eyes. it wasn't until Starlight talked to her that Juniper felt bad about TRAPPING 7 GIRLS IN AN ALTERNATE DIMENSION IN THE MIRROR!
At least she was feeding all of her prisioners with sweets (and later probably some soda cans for hydration).

Sunset has one of my favorite Pony designs in the series. I think eventually I'll make a list of my favorite MLP designs in the future lol. I am just hoping these specials are helping setting up to another EQG movie.
If there were Harry Potter movies in that theater, she would knew how magic mirrors really work.
With the whole concept of Sunset coming back to Equestria in this special, I was hoping that she'd run into Celestia and perhaps we'd finally get that heartfelt, apologetic moment that a lot of us would probably want to see. However, I still enjoyed this special for what it is. It was wonderful to see pony Sunset again, with the inclusion of Starlight being part of the plot.
I wonder if mirror magic take place before or after the season seven premire.

It's funny... After 30 moons she comes and steals the crown and can do all her magic. Now, after... What seems like not long enough, she completely forgets her magic and to walk on all fours.... I guess during the 30 moons she's been keeping magic in mind for her coup, but being distracted by friends has gotten her to be more comfortable with her human side. _shrug_
And speaking of magic, her magic is.... red now? It was green to begin with. Have the geodes affected her in some way?

pony sunset shimmer is somethign they need to implement more. imagina an episode of s7 dealing with sunset, starlight and twilight dong stuff together or even those 3 solving the conflict in the finale . i would love something like that

Hey man, just to let you know that even if the mlp hiatus has already begun (with 2 episodes yet to air in USA without confirmed date) there´s still a HUGE reaction you can be interesed to see.
Star vs the Forces of Evil returns next week with the 2-hour special “The Battle for Mewni”. Yet if you didn´t saw the now revealed season 3 opening and the promos, you´ll be really amazed and hyped for this reaction and season 3 premiere. Maybe you´ll need to have 2 re-direct videos separately because it would be a lot of time and edition to put it in a whole 2-hour video (including spectation and review from your part), and maybe you´ll like to upload the first part next week and the second half the other week.
If you´re going to take a break from the channel in a near future, we can wait for your reaction when you feel ready to come back. Don´t stress out, everyone deserve a good vacation when is nessesary ;)
