I was there. At the end when we all left via the Wembley Tunnel everyone was singing 'Yeah yeah yeah ba da de da da' from Edge of Heaven and snapping their fingers. It was an amazing moment, such a good atmosphere. I was sixteen and still remember it so clearly. George also got the audience to do the Mexican Wave with the concert programme as the sides had two different colours. Thanks for the memories George :-,(

Robert Smith : I belonged to the Wham! fan club mailing list.. Lol. I got information about tours, news about the band, a bookmark, posters..it was so exciting for me to check the mailbox. Wham! was a hot commodity back then. I was teased a little bit for liking them but I also liked Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson, Madonna, the Police, Tears for Fears, Pat Benetar, Bon Jovi and Whitney Houston.
I love the fact that George gave Andrew and the ladies the grand entrance. It's a well known showbiz theatrical rule that the star or lead always goes on stage last so George as the lead singer and lets face it the duo's big draw and by then superstar going on stage first and pointedly highlighting Andy and Pepsi and Shirlie's entrance was major sign of respect to them.

Apparently George and Andrew weren't happy with the overall performance of the show which i find difficult to understand as i was there and thought they were excellent. This is the reason for the concert never being given an official release.
I always thought it was due to rights, both george and prince were very much about exclusivity. Was not easy to get to see them, they knew their worth was in diamonds.
Absolutely amazing entrance, amazing music, amazing intro of everything she wants, just amazing, and the amount of people in the audience, no one can do it now days NO ONE, george michael is the BEST musician in history, yes top 5 i know but out of the top 5 he is the #1! time proves it again and again.
And have in mind that in this video we see an edit of only 2 minutes of the entrance that originally lasted more than 7 minutes! Let's hope that David Austin will release the video of the concert for all the fans and the world to see it.

I was 11. At that time I just thought that all mainstream pop stars had massive talent. Prince. Michael Jackson. George Michael. Elton John. Queen. Madonna. I love all kinds of music - and I look around now wondering where the genuine talent actually is. Cos they certainly don’t often write what they are singing. GM was a different level of brilliance. Love the clip of Bowie leaning against a speaker smoking a cigarette and laughing when GM is rehearsing the Freddie tribute. The talent is staggering.
This is amazing. Im a HARDCORE wham fan and feel so sad to be born in the 2000’s- music was so much better then. I’m on the hunt for any wham merchandise or anything material to frame for my room that isn’t massively expensive as I don’t have a job or much pocket money lol. That's one mistake everybody makes. According to Hugh Burns (the guitar player in the back) Andrew was every bit the consummate musician and a killer guitar player but nobody ever gave him credit for that.

That's one mistake everybody makes. According to Hugh Burns (the guitar player in the back) Andrew was every bit the consummate musician and a killer guitar player but nobody ever gave him credit for that.
