    Homeworx and Harry needs to make a crock for their candles

      Ohhh I would love that! If I had the money and manufacturing abilities I would 100% make crocks of different sizes. A lot of people don't care for an open flame.

    I have never been able to find a candle crock in the UK but I have a couple of lamps, love them. I use them mostly in the evening when I am in the living room. They are great as you don’t have to worry about keeping them going for hours to get an even wax pool. That’s too much of a commitment for me 🤣

    Great Review Melanie! I purchased a candle lamp based on your last 101 video and I absolutely love it! It’s definitely worth the investment to get the most out of behavioral issue candles. I don’t fret about spending money on bad performers. Under the lamp they go !😂 Thank You so much for sharing your candle knowledge with the candle community. It’s extremely informative and very much appreciated 😊

    I have both and appreciate both. I never leave my crock on more than a day , but I might now 😂. I was looking for one with a timer… that would be amazing.

    Thanks for this, it never occurred to me to pour off the wax from the candle warmer! I just left them under the lamp until I couldn’t smell anything 😮

    Thank you sooo much for this video. Been looking into candle warming and wax melting, and I’m excited. I looove the ambiance that burning a candle gives. But I also need to invest in a warmer due to soot and puny wick syndrome, as a backup.

    You were the first one to introduce me to the candle crock and I’ve been crocking 24/7 ever since so thank you!! I too wish there were more neutral options, I’d likely have a crock in every room if there were 😆
    I also use top warmer lamps and love them, too. One tip for the used up melted wax is instead of pouring it off (I’d always make a mess), use cotton balls to soak it up then either pitch them or let them harden (I just set them on a paper plate) then throw them in a ziplock bag. They make great firestarters for outdoor bonfires or wood burning stoves, just don’t use them in indoor fireplaces. 💗

      RIGHT? Honestly if I had the money I would design my own line of neutral candle crocks.

    I managed to find a plain black crock on Amazon a few years ago. I don't use it all of the time, but it's great for a candle that craps out on me!

    Hallo Melanie ,
    I love the Light of candles , but the wallpapers gets dirty very fast. Since we use Candlewarmer the problem is solved. Great Weekend

    Do you have trouble fitting the taller Kringle candles into crocks? And man, I wish there was one big enough for Homeworx candles!

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  29 днів тому +1

      Nope, they fit perfectly. They stick out a bit towards the top but everything get's melted just fine.

    Hey Melanie. I found a very unique pretty candle jar warmer from a seller on Mercari named Melba Lou. She has a lot of other pretty things as well. Maybe you would like to check out. I’m also wondering if those rival call Popourri crocs would work question what do you think? They don’t look quite as narrow inside, though to the jar candle well enough. Just a thought.

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  11 місяців тому

      Thanks for sharing!! I stopped using Mercari a few years ago because I had such a bad experience with them but I'm so glad you found something you really like there! The little simmer pots would be great for potpourri for sure! My mom used to do those on the stovetop. I'm not sure I'd put a candle in them myself but could be worth a try. Worst case scenario you have a nice simmer pot!

    Great information on both. Using the lamp and pouring off the excess do the wicks have to be trimmed?I really like the lamps because of the variety of sizes you can melt..

    • @dreamernowdoer
      @dreamernowdoer 11 місяців тому +1

      You don’t need to worry about the wicks at all, just never burn a candle after it’s been warmed bc the wicks can be displaced too close to the glass which is a fire hazard. 🤗

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  11 місяців тому +2

      No need to trim the wicks unless the look of long freestanding wicks bother you. I don't advice relighting after crocking especially or for me, even lamping. Once they go under a lamp or in a crock, that is where they live their lives out.

    Thank you so much for this video! I mainly have bbw and HW candles. I do have one of the lantern style lamps from Aldi but find it only puts out enough fragrance for a small space. I’m assuming it’s bc it’s far enough from the heat? Do you find on these 2 the adjustable arm is a better performer? I like the look of the amber better but want the performance ❤

    • @dreamernowdoer
      @dreamernowdoer 11 місяців тому +1

      You can raise the candle up closer from underneath! Just make sure whatever you use is sturdy and heatproof 🤗

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  10 місяців тому +1

      I do find that the closer you can get the bulb to the wax, the better!

    When you use a HomeWorx 4 wick under the lamp, does it fully pool out or just the middle?

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  11 місяців тому +1

      So it mostly pools out. There is a bit on the side that does not always melt but I scrape that down after I pour off the initial melt and it melts in. I really like the lamp for troublesome HomeWorx candles.

    What are your thoughts on Paraffin candles vs soy?

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  9 місяців тому +1

      I think it’s largely preference. For me soy burns cleaner, gives better strength and throw, I don’t smell the underlying wax undertone (I can smell the paraffin in those candles), and they don’t get as dirty overall. But there are also people who say the same about paraffin and feel soy is subpar lol. It truly is what works best for you I think.

      Do you think soy is safer for pets? I don’t burn them, I only use a lamp and I would love to try bath and body works but I’m nervous because of my cats…

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  9 місяців тому +1

      I'm not sure you could say it's any safer but maybe. I have not done research on that. If you are looking for clean burning candles I would not suggest BBW lol. But if you are just warming them, you should be fine.

    Hi Melanie! I just got a candle lamp and started using yesterday. About how long do you say each “layer” lasts for before you need to poor it off?

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  9 місяців тому

      Depends on the candle. Usually about 3 8 hour sessions on average I would say.
