OH MY GOD...I get goose bumps every time I hear Karen Asche sing this song. I think that the judges and the powers that be should be ashamed of themselves . Karen, I know Jehovah will give you that song and you will sing it to the world, and when that time come they will listen. Don't let them shake you, You are blessed..

This song is a plea to the most direct source known to man ie Jehovah Jireh {provider) and Rapha (as healer and deliverer) to deliver our land from the tomb of murderous rancour and bitterness in which it has fallen . As high art the first verse observes the coldness which seems to have entombed our hearts and asks that God allow hearts to thaw. The third verse moves from metaphysical to physical to observe that while our hearts remain COLD ie ICE ...that ironically the earth keeps getting WARMER ... thus the juxtaposition and reference to climate change and then the next source of immediate and threatening GLOBAL HEAT ie Trump and Kim

I love this calypso, and the queen who sang it. The judges saw it fit to choose Helon Francis, why don,t we write our own songs and compete. Oh please, leave it alone, its all over.

Andrea Beach.You should try listening to this song again with a more open mind and you will get the message that this young lady is sending...She is praying to the Master[JEHOVAH] to give her a song to heal the Nation..I don't see what is so difficult to understand about this song.....Please play again and listen carefully to the words ,ok ..Thank you...Ps..She should have tied for 1st Place...
Bee Ran exactly. Andrea is making the mistake of approaching the meaning of the lyrics in a literal sense else she wouldn't have such manner of confusion. Karene was cheated this year as a matter of internal politics. Plain and simple. Her performance was one of, if not the best that night.

The message of this song is unclear. She's singing a song saying she needs a song. Why not sing a song of inspiration rather than asking for a song in song. Yes she tries to say Jehovah is that song but it just doesn't come together until the very end. Then the second to last verse goes to biblical end days prophesies then just switches to environmental issues and then switches to the President in a next sentence. Writing is just all over the place. Also her singing is not as strong as it can be. The high standards she set in previous years probably also did her in.
Andrea Beach what I think didn't help were the back vocals who were not always insync.... thought dropping the tempo also prevented her from being even more convincing which would have allowed her to make better connection with her audience .... mind u I'm one of Karene's biggest fans... but it wasn't her strongest performance.... but a good performance with very topical lyrics..
