Watched him as a kid growing up in San Antonio. After I retired the first time I was thrilled to see him show up at the Circle T in 08 for the Tru Country music festival. Like Jake Hooker he was old school and kept the tradition alive! Ray Price went peacefully to his grave knowing Bobby was there to honor all those who came before him and he never sold out! First heard of his passing on Hank FM when the Mayor or Country Music Joe Balinski announced it and was crushed! God Bless Bobby Flores. He was up there with Hank, Faron, Ray and Roy! The world hasn't yet realized how good he was!

Man what a shock. I have been fighting cancer myself and seen he passed 2 days after my birthday. Me and Mary's lost, but hay God and Jesus loves good country music too. I was extremely fortunate to see Bobby Flores with his Yellow Rose Band perform at the Heart of Texas Country Music Festival in Brady, TX on 24 March 2022. Coming from Scotland, it was a great privilege to hear a true country music legend lead an outstanding group of musicians. My wife marvelled at the synchronisation of his string section. I honestly didn't know before that night that he was a singer as well as a multi talented musician because I had only ever seen videos of him backing Ray Price, Heather Myles, Amber Digby, Jake Hooker etc. He will be very sadly missed especially on the West Texas Country music scene. RIP Bobby Flores.
