everyone keeps talking about Wes like he's the only one.. he's my favorite too but John is such an amazing drummer, Sam makes sick ass riffs with crazy slides n shit n Fred is one of the best entertainers on stage.. Bizkit is a power house..
I was 15 when this album was a hit, my mom died that year. I remember that i was listening to this track on the bus, when we were going to take her stuff from the hospital with my dad. I listened this track while watching the tears on my dad's face in the mirror of the bus window. Now my dad is algo gone unfortunately, but i will remember that picture forever. So many deep, sad, and in some way beautiful memories.
MTV Spring Break 1998, I was 14 years and these guys I’ve never heard of before come and play Counterfeit with a bunch of chicks walking around in bikinis! They were straight fire and I was instantly a fan. I’m 38 years young and still listen to Limp Bizkit every single day!
its cool how everyone here is recalling their memories of listening to this album and playing Tony Hawk or watching DBZ. the early 00's were some awesome times. and i too can relate to all those memories lol
Still, after all those years, one of my favorite songs. I grew up with LB, I grew to love them and even today when shit happens and I listen to this song, I kind of find my will to go on again.
madeline donahue You have such innocent look about you, I would have not suspected that you would listen to limp Bizkit lol. I would have guess romantic music
Ya man I remember popping this cd into my cd player walkman and listening to this cd in my room while playing video games and thinking of simpler things. Nothing like Limp Bizkit to bring back those memories. So much has happened since then. Between Korn Issues, Limp Bizkit Chocolate Starfish, and Linkin Park Hybrid Theory, those albums defined a generation. Things were simpler then.
It's always been the same from the very beginning when LB first blew up. People have either absolutely loved them, or absolutely hated them. Everyone that hates them wasn't born with the ability to know good music that hits the soul when they hear it! I'm a 90's baby and LB is and will always be ONE of my favorite bands of all time!
I was 8 or 9 when i wrote to santa that i want this album on a tape, CD's werent very popular then, and a walkman , and i got them and i listened the whole album like 20 times a day. Now im almost 19 and i still listen to them when i have time. They had a concert here in Bulgaria an year ago right when Wes Borland came back to the band it was the awsomest thing ever! Big up to the guys !
I never left, and I've never been ok. But I know that even if I'd left, it wouldn't have been. It's called co-addiction, well, so they call it. I just had to grow up, wherever. "And I'm feeling so disgusted How pathetic can I possibly be?" Had this terrible feeling. This song, the suffering discloses itself in its dignity. Fragility becomes roughness to scratch the reality. It's been four years now, and I don't want no more anyone to save me. Great Limp Bizkit.
+Manuel Muñoz Wow you and 10 mexicans or whatever dont speaky English that well at all. He's saying "tell me why you're fuckin' up my whole life". 10 dipshits thumbed your bullshit up. Wow.
Manuel Muñoz Get it fucking right man. "Tell me why you're fucking up my whole life." (you got me so fucked up I even fucked up my original post and edited it.) Yours is okay, I've heard worse English but bro, that's not the lyric. Don't be a fan of the band and get their fuckin lyrics wrong. What's wrong with you hombre?
The limp bizkit legacy lives within us all now . And jus as it should be we now have “dad vibes” . Thanks Fred , Borland , lethal , Otto , and Rivers for all the killer head bangers and giving us something to scream while giving the world the finger !
"If there's a better place you can take me, A better life you can give me Whatever place I can start all over. And I will never need what you gave me And never need you to save me And never feel like this life is over."
i agree with VinceLA91 thats all i did in 1st grade was play tony hawks pro skater for nintendo 64 and listen to limp bizkit. the 90 s were the shit good call
i remember seeing these guys in wembley. was awesome, this album had not long come out and i was listening to it during my GCSE's. the good old days :D
this songs like a flashback to the end of my sophomore year in high school all the way to my senior year, all my 5 ex's I met between then all fucked me up mentally but at least I had limp bizkit to turn to during those days 7 years ago.
Shit, I remember playing this shit at 2am pitch black in the morning while playing multiplayer on Socom Navy Seals back when I was 11. I'm 15 now and shit I miss those times. Now everything is stress stress stress.
of my childhood,i vaguely remember limp bizkit and linkin park, and of cos lb is more impressionable with its lyrics!and now when ppl say how they know about linkin pakr but not limp bizkit they don't know how to appreciate good music
dudes..some say music died after 60s..some say 70s, 80s, 90s and so on...in all honesty music doesnt die...itz all about preference and the evolution of mankind in regards to generation...to a beatles fan limp bizkit might be the exact definition of music being dead and to an LB fan justin bieber might be the one who killed music..Either way it doesnt matter.....
Hehe yeah I can relate to everyone here. I'm 21 years old and this was my first album. It really brings back some memories, before Ipods...of listening to CD's and crap. Playing return to castle wolfenstein and not being able to get girls. Ah those were the days.
@thosegreengentlemen i never liked music untill i heard Linkin Park - In the End after that i begun listening to music from there on i listened to new bands including Limp Bizkit and i dont have many songs of Limp Bizkit but the ones i have are freaking nice now after a few years i am a total metal freak i even started playing bass since a while and my dream is to end up on the stage aswell playing music for people!
Im from the same side of town back then in 2001 jacksonville baby i use to cutt his parents yard... thats how i met him an wesley. Those were the days man jenco jeans an all the crazy ass girls...
Guys, seriously, I'm in love with all of you who still listen to these songs. I feel I belong. We were young and angry back then, weren't we? 😂
there is always a place for a bit of anger , expecially today
Yep.young and angry. Now fat and old.
I love you too ! ;)
Angry, heartbroken, humiliated, happy

Miss these times of growing up listening to Limp Bizkit 34 years old and still turn to them to jam out and feel better
Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog flavored water is an outstanding album and it still is 23 years later
Got that right, buddy.
everyone keeps talking about Wes like he's the only one.. he's my favorite too but John is such an amazing drummer, Sam makes sick ass riffs with crazy slides n shit n Fred is one of the best entertainers on stage.. Bizkit is a power house..
+Robert Poritz wes wrote everything.. drums bass .. everything!
patsu don that's neat. But that wasn't his point. The band in an entirety is quite nice, too lol
+patsu don I don't believe Wes is capable of playing this percussion. Perhaps concept writing but john certainly performed the recordings
Str8 FACTS🎯
You forgot Lethal
An indescribable time in life where mainstream didn’t suck and iPhones didn’t exist - only amazing memories. Limp you will always be a part of me.
