Do you EQ before compression or Compress before EQ?

it's always debated on which to do first, wether to EQ first or compress first, none of the approach is wrong, bit I chose the first and in the video, I share the reason, which when you watch, you may find it useful and input that in your work flow.

You should EQ before compression. Because Eq means you are boosting or cutting of some frequencies. That if you do before compression, and cut off frequency from your EQ, on your compressor, the threshold you set for the audio signal might become too high or low for the signal before compression starts taking place.

There is no one size fits all answer to this, you should be aware of the pros and cons of every element in your chain, every vocal has it's own needs that should dictate what tool you should use and when, it's all based on what you are hearing and your taste
