I am planning to get a new car in next 3 to 4 months. My budget is 18 to 20 lakhs. Two cars in my radar are Honda elevate and Creta. How is the build quality of new seltos compared to Creta?
First of all do not buy Creta which is currently selling as second generation facelift is expected soon. I don’t think there is any improvement in build quality of Seltos however with improved safety features it’s a much safer car now. If you are a features lover go for Seltos but as seltos is not there in your list then wait for Creta facelift. I will not recommend Honda elevate.

Hi i have a got a new gt line and took it to highway my speed was 100 to 120 i use soft footed while driving and the drive mode to be normal , i got mileage of 17, will this mileage improve after 1st service? Also for you after auto cutoff (ie full tank almost) what is the range it shows?

Seltos gives best mileage when we drive between 80 to 90 and accelerate gently I get mileage approx 21 km/liter of 300 km round trip 90% on four lane road and 10 % city road but if you drive on single lane road I get 16 to 17 km per litre with my GTX plus diesel
Please do use a soft cloth for cleaning. Also when dust or dust with water is dried on your car please do not use cloth for cleaning the car. In this case go for a proper washing of the car.

I got less mileage (9 to 11 KMPL) for initial 500kms. After 500kms mileage increased to 16-17 in city and 20kmpl on highways. I got first service done after 850kms
In the past I have purchased Creta 2 times (both petrol). Big no to current Creta now as facelift will be coming in next 2-3 months. Further in terms of features for this segment Seltos is the king. No issues upto now. I have driven about 3000 kms now. Also the Seltos Diesel mileage is fantastic.
Dear Amar, 50kms daily means 1500kms in a month, 18k in a year and 90k in 5 years or 180k kms in 10 years. As the price of the car is same the decision has to be made on fuel savings and the resale value. I am ignoring little higher maintenance cost for the diesel car. If you drive 100k in 5 years your fuel savings should be close to 3 lacs as you roughly save 3 per km on a diesel car but resale for diesel car will be lower may be by 2 lacs after 5 years but you still save 1 lac of rupees on Diesel car. Buy an electric car because your running average is very high. You will save a lot of money in fuel and service. Any electric car which has a range above 400 kms will do the job for you.
For IVT, ARAI mileage is 17.7kmpl. On highways with 80-90 kmph speed except mileage of around 17 to 18 max and in city expect mileage of around 12 to 13 KMPL max.

I wanted to know how hard is that to take care of this Xline colour doesn’t it need to much care in terms of maintenance cleaning and etc.

yes, but it comes with an IMT, so you can expect +1 or 2KM extra mileage
HTX Comes in IMT and MT. Only X-Line and GT Line comes in Diesel AT
