This is such a beautiful,romantic song by Massenet. Too bad Kraus was past his prime when this was recorded. Villazon does a great job with it and I wish more tenors would include it in their recital repertoire.

Well it is not an aria at all, it is a French Melodie or Art Song. But I agree its a bit too operatic, its needs a lighter tone.
