I don't watch a lot of football, but have been watching all European and World tournaments for the last 24 years or so, and I have never seen a referee extend a match 8 minutes longer than the 90min mark... up until Italy was losing against Croatia 1-0... well exactly in the 8th minute mark Italy finally scores and draws the match.
To me, football now looks like WWE, a bunch of actors crying for fouls and a bunch of money behind the scenes pulling the strings.
As a Portuguese, I can only believe Portugal was paid to play really defensive and draw the match against France, at the quarter finals. That's not how a team plays, you have to win, if you play for the draw you always lose.
Forgot to mention the stupid celebrations when a goal is miraculously scored. Many games are fixed by corrupt officials

In Almaty and shimkent where I stayed for a few months I saw many people of different ethnicity all getting along just fine, they are predominantly Muslim but not hardcore like those moving from Arab countries, in fact many drink alcohol and don’t go to mosques.
