Maps are very nicely designed (or recreated in some cases), layouts are easy to understand, it's not easy to feel lost while playing it, just stay focused and look for keys. The secrets are also not very hard to find, most of them involve fake walls or shootable switches - but you will get tons of ammo and powerful weapons way earlier than normal. You will also find some custom monsters during the playthrough, it involves Spectres, new Cacodemons, new Arch-Viles and Cacodemons, variant of Cyberdemon and Hell Knight. Levels are mostly oriented towards fast and smooth gameplay, try to be as fast as possible during the combat, switch weapons to deal maximum damage and avoid reloading in fight. If you remember the Cathedral from Ultimate Doom, you know that level was really annoying by bunch of teleporter, here the level is way easier and teleports are not that annoying. The ultimate level from Thy Flesh Consumed does not involve a fight against Spider Mastermind but in my opinion is a bit harder than before, the fight at open space can kick your ass. E4M4 is also back here, a short and a little bit more expanded level with a slightly different secret, nothing tough just watch out for Arch-Viles at the end of the map. Oh, and do not forget about new green Rocket Launcher in Project Brutality, a little bit slower but you can also track targets with lock-on ability.
I love how the chainsaw can be used to do instant glory kills on staggered demons. That's a great feature. Glory kills animations get old after a while and afterwards the player has to run all over the place to collect the goodies. The chainsaw fixes all that in one fell swoop.

my issue with the energy guns is the dev team LOVES to throw huge particle clouds in the player face making it a total mess to actually see what youre doing. i vastly prefer the PB 2.5 ish era for that reason alone still
It seems strange, the shotgun refire rate. *scratches head* It's now not only faster at the hip, which I admit I rather like as it always seemed odd to suggest shouldering it let you fire faster as that would be the other way around, but now the base fire rate itself is higher? And it seems as if it's...slam firing? Hmm. Not sure I like that. There's something visceraly satisfying about the Doom shotgun sideways cocking animation. But. To each their own.

Railgun charge shot overheat nerf (experimental). Magazine shotgun quick pump buff (experimental). All vehicle (tank, heli, mech) from BD break. That's all I see on this new update.
Vehicles are broken due to the upcoming tank update for a future update. As for the Mech and Helicopter, they could possibly be scrapped but as of right now it's currently a low priority

It's subjected to change when the player voice gets overhauled. I think one of the PB team's in house voice actors is going to do the new voice for Doomguy for PB
