I had a CRF450 supermoto for a while loved the look of it, just wasn’t quite enough for the road after being used to an R1. I am considering a big supermoto now tho after watching so many supermoto badness on here 🙌🏻

Get a ktm 525 exc... I have a gsxr 1000 and honestly it's just as good as the 1000 the 525 would kill any 1000 in tight twisty stuff and 0-60 time is like the same. My 525 goes 105mph now did go 115mph downhill but changed gearing as it didn't want to pull in 6th unless downhill. But yeah, nice thing about a supermoto is you can open her up while not doing 100+mph which in my eyes is more fun on the road
is this with a completely bone stock version? as ive heard they are pretty choked, im wondering how much the top speed would be with a simple FMF slip on, and/or with a map switch included..

@@juanrabie6712 it more so depends on your gearing and tire selection if you throw a super moto setup on its one of the best handling road bikes available but with knob use anything over 60 as with most knobbie bikes can be dangerous if your suspension isn’t dialed in exactly for you
I had my KLR 250 going I guess nearly a record at 94 miles an hour on a highway coming down a grade. I've only heard of another around that speed. I would expect a 450 duel sport to getting closer to 110 or more. But I guess not. I'm disappointed a bit because I have been looking for a stock duel sport that is near the 110 range.
A 450 might do it if geared to do it or add some mods to make more hp to pull at higher speeds. My KTM 525 did 115mph downhill before I changed gearing now it does like 105mph on flat

Yes love my 500 also.. it's worth mentioning for some that the speed 163 is kilometers per hour.. still pretty respectable for a dual sport :)

Depends on the distance its stil not a full road bike so probably a no go but it's great if you just want to go to the shop or something
