the question from 1999 where the asked to find the size of the angle EDF could i just use the cosine rule since the triangle already has both sides and an angle??
good morning, sir, just a quick question. What if the 60 degree is below the 40 degrees is it the same way to work it out? sorry i have never done math so am now trying it.
+nickelback 101 Thanks for feedback. I must have been sleeping. I was supposed to use 10m instead of 6 m. Just follow the method for now. I will fix the video in time.
i realize u do some short hand work when it comes to sine and cosine rule so am asking can i calculate it like how u do in exam and still get my full marks?
I'm not sure what you mean by "short hand", but if you follow what I do you will get full marks. Include all your steps so that if you make a calculation error you will still get most of the marks.
Sin 0 = opp/hyp = Sin 0 30/1cross multiply MK/10 = MK = 10× sin 30°= MK = 5m
Sin 0= opp/hyp = sin 40/1cross multiply DX/15= DX 15× sin 40 = D= 9.6. Cos 0 adj/hyp=
For jan 2009 could i just use the cosine rule then find the inverse?

Sin 0 opp/hyp= sin 0=6/12= sin 0.5 =0 sin (0.5)=0=3
For June 1999 part 2 the answer is 65

for the 1st question sir.....I don't get where you got 6 when you only have 8m and 10m
Where you got six from?
at which point in the video?
It should be 10.
Um the answers you have are wrong for Jan 2009.

in the 2009 question u have 6 and there is no 6 on the diagram
Yes I know. I made a mistake. Just replace the 6 with 10 in your calculations.

how you have 2 *8
Let me know at which time in the video so I can check.
I don't see the 6 so which one 10 or 11
Terrythe answer is 9.2m instead of 7.2m
Like u need a better camera sir. Can't make out what is on the screen... only what you writing.
It's not a camera. It's a screen capturing tool. Try changing your resolution on UA-cam to 720p. All my videos are recorded in HD.
I also have newer videos on trigonometry

Man its been five years and he hasnt responded, idk if i should answer lmao
Here in 2023
He got the 6 from in between NK
