I like how Yamaha using different engine configuration for mt07, mt09 and mt10. While others manufacturer using exactly same inline 4 flatplane for their 600cc, 800cc, 900cc, and 1000cc bikes.
@@kef1kef2kef3kef4kef5 I've ridden well over 60 bikes with all the engines. I've been on Hayabusas and Scooters. You have to pick a horsepower range you like, and an engine you like. All of them have something they're good at. Character is nothing but vibration, sound, and torque curve.
I wish you would have revved it while sitting still. But the idle sounds good. Nothing like the beauty of a cross-plane crank, and 3 cylinders 890cc means 3 large cylinders.
Had a 2012 CbR600RR, would the Mt07 or mt09 be much closer in power, my wife is not for me grabbin a 1000RR so considering a mt09 only if it’s similar power, I’m thinking the mt07 might be much slower
If you have no experience on a bike whatsoever, this is not the ideal bike to learn on for beginners. I suggest a 250cc bike. It's light, can still be used on the highway and is a good bike for the city.
the MT09 lifts its front even in third with gas. So I do not suggest to buy one when you are new. Start on a SV 650 or MT07 or so but the MT09 has a lot of power
You could learn on this IF, and only IF you can be careful/responsible. IMO don't waste your money on a beginner 250 or something like that. Know your limits. Practice on safe streets (at the appropriate times) and lots. I started on a 750 then transitioned to a 1200 a few months later, but I spent thousands of miles on quiet roads before jumping on that 1200 Indian.
Yes, I got the Vcyclenut ECU flash with sprint air filter. Prior to that (when this video was taken) it had a power commander 5 on board but that was done by the previous owner
@do.on2wheels I'm about to purchase a 2017 FZ 09 and most likely will do the black widow slip on as well. Questions.. Is installing the slip on easy? I think I heard there is some cutting needed? And then also how much did the flash and air filter cost you? Or basically exhaust/flash/filter set up cost. Thank you. I'm so excited to get this bike. My only gripe is I'm 5'6 and I wish I could flat foot it.
You don’t it’s a slip on been running it on my 2016 the entire time you just hook your O2 sensor right back up and g2g……….I did take the baffle out of mine tho lol
@@RZAS.95 for what it's worth the 07 is one hell of a bike. I love those bikes, if I had the room for a second bike I'd still have one of the 07s I owned. They are a hoot on the track and so much fun to rip around on. The 09 takes that up a notch for sure, little more like a scalpel on the street and the power is awesome. Also a fun rip on the track haha

Inline-4 is inherently better engine configuration all things considered. Still the most powerful motorcycles on the planet run them.

Should I get a 07 or mt09 ive only owed Chinese ssr 125 about 3 of them I’m very comfortable riding shifting slowing down just never rode anything big
09 has quickshift and 07 doesnt so maybe consider 09 for fast shifts
