I have propagated my snake plant into 3 new plants and moved them outside on my patio. I just noticed that one of them is blooming. I had the original plant for 6 years and it never bloomed. I did keep it indoors. I'm shocked to say the least.
Flowers on snake plants are so magical. The first day mine bloomed I was a bit underwhelmed because there was no scent, but when I got to bed I smelt the flowers wafting their way across the room.. made me feel strangely euphoric for some reason.
I have 2 snake plants for a month now n both flowering my friends and family never saw this happen n they have their s plants for years so I'm happy this happen with me and they got to see 🙂
I have had a huge pot of mothers tongue plants and I looked today and it had blooms on two plants. This has NEVER happened before. Do you just leave them after they die or what?
Mine has started to blossom for the first time in the 2 years ive had it. Its in direct light. My other snake plant doesnt get any direct light and hasnt bloomed.
my dad just called me into his room to show me this thing flowered, the whole room smelled so good, i didnt know it such a rare thing! he says the flowers are closed during the day and opened at night
I have several pots of snake plants outside. They get direct sunlight and almost daily rain. I repotted the babies once they emerge. No time for them being root bound. No wonder I never saw them bloom. Maybe I'll try neglecting a few of them and see if any of them bloom.
Mine got super tall so it’s in a huge pot just to keep it from tipping over. It’s in a west facing window with a couple of trees filtering the light that hits the window. It’s not even close to filling the pot and it gets watered weekly. So no stress. It’s blooming.
Had my snake plant for a year and saw flowers didn't know these things gave flowers I just wanted a plant was thrown off by the random smell I was smelling in my room then realized it's my plant
my mom got a sansevieria suffruticosa snake plant a few years before i was born, she gave it to me about 4-5 years ago when i moved out. the plant is now 27 years old and its the first time ever it have bloomed
Mine is blooming 😎. I've only had it maybe 4 or 5 months. It was root bound when I purchased it. I wouldn't say it's a baby, but not huge. Maybe a small/medium. I repotted a few weeks after purchase. It gets lots of sunlight in the morning as I have it sitting in a window seal. Maybe like 3 to 4 hours. I water it every two weeks. I also have it in a well drained orchid pot, with a snake plate dirt mixture by repotme I got from Amazon.
I have had my snake plant for many many years and just realized it had blossomed. It is so beautiful.
