God is our first in our life with great Ness an rich tasty fingers oin our actions on grace full ways on tasty tingers bless us all in faith on lovely taste blessing in fine lovely grace on love ❤
Inspite of uprisings that challenge Jamaica ..crimes..poverty..teachers strike ..general hardship...people are migrate from other countries to live and do business..Thank you for this report..well done..
Need to find this place but i have one comment..why adapt your trini cooking to facilitate jamaican taste buds? Why not keep it 100% trini? Id def prefer the 100% trini cus that's half the fun..trying new foods from a diff culture..so Misir if you can do some 100% trini for those of us who want that authentic taste❤..where exactly downtown are you located tho?
That would be great except the fact that he wants to be profitable. Every restaurant that goes to another country has to make it according to that country taste preferences. Imagine if KFC remained 100% American, would you buy it? He is smart.
I’m a New Yorker, born in Saint Vincent. I’ve had food from every single nation you can think of. Italian, Mexican, Haitian, Mediterranean, Ethiopian, middle eastern, European, Nigerian, Dominican, Cuban, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai… you name it, I’ve probably had it (one of the joys of living in NYC) and to this day, no matter what I’ve tried, nothing tops Jamaican food for me! rice and peas, oxtail, curry goat, salt fish and ackee, escovitch fish, fried bread (festival), beef patties, Jamaican food is king.. I do also love some Trini food, like roti and doubles and basically all the spicy curry heavy dishes. But still not enough to move Jamaican food from its top spot. If you haven’t had Jamaican food yet you are missing out by doing yourself a great injustice.. go get some now!!! If you are in New York City I can suggest some spots that will blow your tastebuds off in the best possible way.
Notorious !! You need to do like this man. 💫Since you believe in JAn food so much. Just Start off small and reach out to few people who will support you, (no greedy ones) then expand... A Black American is doing well in African with Soul food but guess what, it’s predominately Jamaican dishes. What I want in Caribbean restaurants are FRESH veg, variety salads plus 😅 nice surroundings somewhere spacious and pleasant to dine. This is lacking.🌞
who is to say which dish belongs to which country...the way I see it all dishes in the Caribbean are similar in look taste and ingredients some are more or less spicey but still delicious...trinidad is filled with foreigners whom I'm sure contributed to the tasty dishes enjoyed and so is Jamaica filled with people from other cutlures who have influenced the dishes of Jamaica that the world loves...no one country can "own" a dish...they all gleaned from each other due to migration....nevertheless i would love to try authentic Trini dishes and or authentic Jamaican dishes minus the asian and indian influence
I don’t agree. I haven’t tried doubles so I’ll try that to see if it is worth all the commotion. I spent 3 months in Trinidad and the only food I liked was from a Cantonese restaurant. I am willing to try the popular ones to prove myself wrong so when I go back to Jamaica I’ll try some Trini food again.
Wellcome to Jamaica my youth, love the work your putting out there .... cheers to you!!!

That is great but I bet a Jamaican can't go to Trinidad and do the same thing.
And why not? There are Jamaican eateries in Trinidad!
I don’t see why not.. Jamaican food is crack!
You're so wrong. There are a lot of Jamaicans here in T and T operating in the Jamaican food business and doing well
Alya could come we like good food
