The best UA-cam instruction ever!!! Right on the job, no additional exaggeration explanation, no small talks, no show-off of being an expert..., but simple, well worded, short sentenced (right on the point for each step) instruction. Even a viewer who has never done this, as long as he/she is able to use a screw driver, he/she can follow the instruction to do the job that costs nothing. Thumbs up!!!
Thank you for this. Unfortunately, 2 of my screw heads had been stripped by someone else previously. Fortunately, I was able to use an 8mm long socket to remove them 😅
I would recommend going to the local dealer or mechanic to see if they can fix it. If this is not an option you may be able to remove the screws using needle nose pliers but it is hard to know what to exactly do since I can not see the issue in person.
@@filterheads I can’t see any rust from the top of them. They can turn 1/10 of a full spin and then they get stuck, with no matter how much force I apply.
@@ImShocko I personally have not come across this and not seeing this problem in person it is hard to know why they are not fully unscrewing. When rotating them left they should loosen. When they are loosened the screws do still sit seated in the top part of the housing and you can lift the housing lid and remove it.
@@filterheads I’ve never seen this either, I can slightly loosen them and then they become stuck. The screw cannot turn a full revolution, I can get a very slight turn to the left and then it gets stuck. Each of the 5 are doing this, I’ve given up aha. I may need to use an impact driver or something.
Unfortunately, it appears that we will not be restocking this filter for the future. We apologize for the inconvenience. Purolator carries a match for this part if you would like to search elsewhere for the proper filter. Their part number for this filter is TA25456.

THANK YOU!!! 😊
Great video. I have an ‘05 it’s so easy to replace. For some reason I was thinking it would be hard getting to the filter. Thanks for posting.
Glad it helped
The Honda dealer wanted $129 to change this filter and the cabin air filter. Dealerships are evil.
Thanks! This was my first ever serous replacement I’ve had to do with and engine, the tutorial was very helpful!
Great to hear!
Thanks for quick how to! Now my V will breathe easily
You're welcome!

What’s the sensor underneath the battery that makes Honda CR-V turn on?
I do not have a video explaining this sensor at this time.
thanks for the vid saved me a lot of money 💰 from going to the dealership is there a difference in air filter between the lx and ex 05 CRV ??
It is best to pay attention to the engine size. The procedure can be similar but it may take a different filter.
no
I'd like to replace the rusty screws on the housing - any idea what part number or size they are? Thanks
I do not have that information but you should be able to get the part number from your local Honda dealer.
My screws were very old so 2 of them broke, any idea how to remove the part that is still inside?

@@filterheads thank you so much for your fast reply
My screws are jammed, any suggestions on how to remove?
Are the screws rusted?
