If I have three separate regions under one master server, how can i configure DR backup specific to a region... Is it possible? Region 1- AP Region 2- EU Region 3 - AM I need to configure separate DR backup for Region 3...as the clients are in Azure regions
Legacy, the fact you have to restore off a sql db with a new commserve pulling off the old DB and have to rebuild. So many entry points for an attacker I couldn’t see this being an efficient restore for a cyber situation.
Hi, you have to keep backing up your DB in advance! You are not pulling old db from corrupted servers!! For new ways, you have live sync! But i don’t see any problem with this approach! In fact this will be the safest way! Get the latest clean copy from your backup location ( which could be cloud or any safest directory you have) and do restore!
@@CVBackupMasterMinds The issue still lies that all operations are dependent on the Commserve, isn’t a commserve vm based? If so, that imo poses a ton of risk. I’ll digress though and thank you for the informative video!

CommServe can be installed in Window machine only because of using SQL DB or it can be installed at Unix machine also. Please explore on it.
Hi Nitesh
It can be installed on linux from v11.25 onwards. Before that it was only supported on windows.
