- A man has told Sky News Australia he had an axe held to his throat during a shocking daytime brawl that erupted on a suburban Darwin street.
Potentially a dozen or more people were involved in the confronting event which was recorded from a nearby block of units.
The axe fight happened around 1pm on Friday the 31st of March in the suburb of Moil.
Victim Rocky Kumaiyi spoke to Sky News Australia about the attack, saying he doesn't know why he was targeted.
This daytime attack comes amid escalating crime and violence sweeping across the Northern Territory.
Dont worry the voice will fix it.

It wasn't that long ago that the West Australian government gave tribal elders sentencing authority. It scared the hell out of those claiming aboriginality to face bush justice. I recall one lad who had stolen petrol from a car and sniffed it. If such an offence in an Australian court resulted with imprisonment it would seldom be beyond a month, less remission. Longer sentences incurred parole. Not so using the elder system, remission and parole was not available. A feature of elder Justice includes that each decision made that led to the offence was also considered. In the case of the petrol sniffer his sentence went as follows. 2 months in prison for removing the petrol cap. 3 months for syphoning the fuel and 3 months imprisonment for sniffing it, no parole no remission.
It didn't just send shock waves through the rank and file of the social justice warriors, it sent panick to all who claimed themselves Aboriginal. I asked one of these elders why they were imposing such harsh penalties, his reply, "They shame our people". That says it all.
Forget the corporate captured Voice, give the power over tribal communities back to the elders and compel the state and the broader community to back them.

The last time I was in Papau, New Guinea, there were local murders where the weapon choice were machetes. The point is, it doesn't matter if a weapon gets banned, people that are intent on killing or hurting other people will find a way. It's not the weapon that decides to kill it's the person holding the weapon. If they are not allowed to have the weapon they want they'll just get a different weapon.

If you're advocating for guns to be legalised, just think that they are far more deadly than other weapons. This particular episode in the NT would likely have ended with several deaths if guns had been involved.

Quite normal, i remeber a machete "duel" of sorts in darwin on the beach in 1992. Tow groups of natives had clashed over something tribal related by the look of it.. People casually walked their dogs on the beach as these guys fought it out with machetes. Metal poles with kitchen knives stuck in them and metal stakes. The darwinites were unphased and ignored it like the tantrum of a naughty child.
I watched the show. Somebody was hacked and someone stabbed and a policeman on a horse showed up from somewhere else alonh the beach and began chasing them down and trampled one. More cops arrived and then fled. Cops took 3 to hospital with stab wpunds and the hors guy who got trample after they all left i went and retreived a rudely made nullanulla.. A local type of club and a dexter russell butchers knife from the sand.. Washed em up and kep them. . Was tge 1st week i was in darwin.
Now they’ll blame the white man for making axes !

Don't believe every urban myth you hear. Several thousand were handed in, mainly old and broken, then with the cash rebate, new, modern replacements were purchased. Instead of the gun buyback scheme, it was actually, the taxpayer funded modernisation scheme.
Axes actually have a use outside of hurting people. The sole use of a gun is the maiming and killing of living creatures. If you own a gun you do so knowing that that is its only use.
Only 30% of people hand back their guns,the rest were reported as lost or stolen,and that happened 3 decades ago, so to claim we the current generations gave up our guns is not true. The true crime is that we are not permitted to carry or use any weapon as a self-defense item, not even in our home's.
