Although many (if not all) of the songs included were really good, they didn't particularly apply to me personally. I think what I liked the most in type-o-negative songs was this oddly mixture of their style. On the one hand there was all this gothic rock/metal dark and gloomy lyrics, a mix of pain, suffering, inevitability. However on the other hand I always got the impression that there was a hidden beacon of hope and optimism coming from their songs (like in Green Man), which helped me go through hard times few years ago. I know that this might be very subjective, but I didn't find it in these versions of their songs. Anyway, just wanted to share my opinion.

I agree. I like Graveworm in their own musical right. This however wasn't what I expected. Still I respect them for making their efforts for the tribute.
It's different from the original, but certainly they didn't "destroy [it]". If you listen to heavier music, it's a good interpretation. My only thought is you weren't anticipating it and/or don't like heavier music like their style.
@@TheBorathon Man I listen to a little of everything Bob Marley, to Pig destroyer. to the Stones. To king diamond. My love is Metal. I know everyone has an opinion. Type O songs always sounded different from other bands. I mean they had there own sound. A fast metal version of Christian woman could have been cool. I just hate bands that don't have there own sound. This is coming from a guitar player. This cover was hard for me to get through it.
