Yep I'll gladly say these are the 'best' overall prop I've tried so far. The dark grey color will have my name on it and sticker with it 😏. Having your cake and eating it too is the perfect description. Fast, responsive, powerful, and efficient. Literally an unheard of combination of qualities. It's not even fragile either. I'd say it's durability is a solid medium if not medium-high.
The pros and cons I died! 😂🤣 All right maybe you convinced me, I'm going to go back and give gemfan another shot. Thanks for breaking everything down and the inspiration brother 🔥🙏
I ordered 10 packs and they are definitely worth it. I love them so much, thank you Icky!! I put this video in the description of my edit where I tested them. :)
Aaron bringing in the Magic 😎 Thanks for the review my dude, I recently got into azurepower props, but might check these out if I can get some here in the UK 👍
Nice video, but not sure if your aerodynamics are right. Mine are probably not right or complete, but it seems to me that at low rpm, the tip of the blade is moving much faster and therefore making more thrust. I think the hump has two purposes. One is to push air out towards parts of the blade that can more effectively generate lift. At low rpm it acts kind of like a pump inducer. At higher rpm, and higher air speeds, I think it has to stall when the blade is retreating. As it stalls in this higher speed/rpm environment, not much power is consumed, but the stall sets things up for the tip of the next blade to have more air to move. Man I would love to be able to test things like this. I can see building a peel away shroud, kind of as if the prop got stuffed inside a roll of masking tape. Then we can test just what the tips do, and peel the tape off one rotation, test it again, etc. Then when. The whole blade is exposed, test that. And follow up by grinding the tips of the blades away until only the hub remains. Maybe with enough thin smoke trails and high speed cameras, we can answer whether either of us had a clue. Or maybe just producing precisely timed and placed puffs of smoke we could do it without all the tape and grinding. I am not aware of anyone doing prop tests in a wind tunnel.
Nice review! I may have to give those a shot, but right now I’m pretty much an Azure 5150 fan. I also have the Azure Johnny FPV 4838, and that’s a great prop, but in my opinion, you need to run those on a higher kv motor to get the most out of it!
albet maulana - Absolutely, @2600kv you should give the 5150 a shot, as it’s a wider prop, with more pitch, and to me just has more pop to it! I’ve also since tried the 5150 Pro version which is carbon fiber reinforced, but they’re still extremely brittle! The 5150 Pro is extremely stiff, which is why it breaks so easily, but they fly on a razors edge!
Steve MacDonald FPV alright , but i have last question . what about your battery performance , with that high pitch and 2600kv ? Is that good for your battery ? Im not a racer i just like freestyle .
albet maulana - The combination isn’t bad for your battery, what’s bad is running any cell below 3 volts, so for my 5S lipo’s I never run below 17volts, if you do, you risk puffing the battery, which can destroy it. The higher pitch prop and the kv you have, you should get a good 3 minutes of flight. With that being said, many factors go into that equation, quad weight, how heavy you are on the throttle, meaning, if you fly that wide open, you might get 2 minutes or less. I too am not a racer, so just give the combination a try, and see how you like the props!
Steve MacDonald FPV thankss man ... I already buy some azure power and wait for that props come to my house .... I hope this props so good , if it good like you said maybe i will buy more . because my practice prop dal5040 is out of stock .. So i must find another one hahhahhahahhah
you did a great video but you messed it all up whe you speaked about the blade profiles... If you understand a bit about it you will see the Dalprop T5047C and T5249C are actually amazing too... Just do a simulation with proper software and you will see they both are using actually similar concept ;)

Medium high for sure. Glad to have the kabab seal of approval on my work 🤙
I don't see the dark grey on pyro. Where is it?

Nice production on this video. Glad to see you posting again
Hello! Are these propellers compatible with 2205 2300kv engines powered by 4s?
Or would it be better to use Gemfan 51433?
Thanks so much
I love the Dal 5051's and have tons of them and still fly them predominantly than any other prop so I'm glad this gem fan prop has released.
Are there any 6 inch version of these propellers ????

Love the review! Your content is really well produced. Appreciate the effort! You just got a sub.

im flying a radX frame and there is barely room for a 5" prop if i go with the "51XX" size am i going to hit stand offs?
thks !!
how is efficiency ? because each time i test a gemfan ...i go back to hq because of the incredible efficiency of hq...
Its very good compared to old gemfan
Who put that fence there?
Very good review.
What would u say they are like compared to the tmotor 5143?
Haven't tried them unfortunately
Icky Leslie aw well, just asking as i love them and i really like the sound of these new mck props!
Awesome video bro! Some of these comments are killing me, well played sir! 😂🤣
