  • Zorra has traumatic memories stored in the tissues and cells of her body. Getting on her back triggers these memories and her body suddenly displays scar tissue, swelling and other woundings that were not there even 2 minutes prior! Read more here: www.listentoyourhorse.com/heal...

A thirty minute video, I thought I probably wouldn't watch the whole thing. But it was so interesting I didn't stop, not even to make some more tea and some toast!
I did go back and try to see the effect on Zorra's shoulder a couple of times, but I'm not sufficiently experienced it horses to know what I'm looking at.

Another wonderful video, which has given me some ideas to talk with my mare, who was a trail, then riding school horse. She soured at the school from the experience and I bought her. I've always been mindful of what she endured and made efforts to rebuild her trust and confidence. She has just returned to me after 6 years with another family. I sensed she was keen to leave that environment when I collected her. Your videos are giving me a better awareness of actively listening and responding. Thank you again 💐

At 27:40 I noticed Zorra's eyes looked so soft -- like she was so relaxed she was sleepy and ready to keel over! I am struck with how this is a phenomenally kinder, more sensitive way of being with horses than we have ever known in man's history with horses - unless you count the peace they experienced in the Garden of Eden (which I really believe existed).

If you hadn't have pointed out the swelling before the massage, I would never have noticed the difference after. Honestly I am a bit of a skeptic to this type of communication with horses, but you seem to know what you're talking about and I can see the results. Keep up the good work, this lovely mare is real lucky to have landed in your hands

@@ListenToYourHorse For me this is completely normal, ever since I was a child I was able to tune in to animals, it's super simple stuff really, and realised animals are often trying to communicate with us. I know you are the same, but it does make me smile that some are disbelieving or find it strange when it's so perfectly obvious and normal :) They communicate with each other, and they communicate with us. People just don't listen, not even to themselves generally. It's why so many self medicate. I spent time at a Spanish dressage yard and was horrified at the life the horses led and their disagreement with it. Any time I tried to drop a hint about how the horses were feeling, was laughed at by staff, even though these horses were mostly angry and showed it! I missed the horses but my hands were tied, I was not allowed to improve their lives one bit. I read a quote that said, If you don't belong, don't stay long. I left and found solace in a wild herd near my home, the best :) Such peace and fun and love. Spanish dressage horses are commonly trained in high levels of dressage when still young, which is a shame as they are a breed that take a while to mature. I've always wanted a Spanish or two but here they are all over trained so I won't buy. I've even see trainers tie horses up and not allow them water or food unless the trainer brings it. It's heart-breaking. I won't encourage these people, even though it's "traditional training" and apparently I am naive ;) Your mare is absolutely stunning. I hate she has been through stuff, but she is in good hands now! I will check out the book too!

People see beautiful horses and right away want to possess them. They just have to have them, to own them and control them using them up to show off their beauty. The beauty of the horse lies within. I brought home a beautiful NSH mare that had been abused. It took a very long slow process to get her to heal her mind body and spirit. She now wants to make me proud of her. She wants to give back to me. (Animal communicator words). She will never see the show ring with me and she knows this. I have reached that most beautiful part of her; her heart and I will keep it that way. Beautiful story here.

She gives me such peace of understanding you can be perfectly happy as a lower-ranking horse, you can call the other beings you need into your circle, you can heal from the trauma inflicted by humans thinking they were doing the right things but doing them wrong for YOU. Beautiful Zorra, I wish you the best in the world.

I've always wondered how dressage horses were able to keep their necks so low and stiff while performing; I'm always drawn to looking at their necks rather than the rest of them. It''s so unnatural to see and I've wondered how people could treat horses so cruelly. Poor horses.

I LOVE horses. I’ve never had one of my own and I’ve ridden twice in my life. I don’t NEED to ride, it’s a privilege to and just being around them is pure heaven. But I have no access to one. The place I use to visit a group of about six no longer exist. I would drive for hours just to stop at the side of the road and just ‘be’. They would come to me - always a very emotional experience. Last time I went by they sold the property and no more horses.😢

I think bare back riding on horses are the best. Just like the natives di. You are one with your horse.

    • @ListenToYourHorse
      @ListenToYourHorse  2 роки тому +2

I think if you ride bareback from childhood, and have NOT had any riding lessons, that you ride completely differently. This was my experience and I never sat in one place on the back (creating pressure/dead spots). Most trained riders that then ride bareback - ride like they are still in the saddle. I don't think this is any better for the horse. But if you ride like an untrained kid, who often rides without a bridle either - your bodies are in complete communication. You slide and move around on the back a lot. It is very fluid - you are rarely in one spot or one posture for long. Alternatively, in a dead run, you do not move at all - there is no rhythmic thumping on the back - you are almost still. It's very hard to describe in words. Wish I had footage from when I was a kid!

I really didn't see much interaction with horse and healer just saw interaction with healer & horse what I'm trying to say is I would have liked to see the horse interact with the Healer also. It was difficult to see what her mood was because she was so distracted with food. Just imagine I'm scarfing down a hot dog while my chiropractor is trying to adjust and heal me. I also would have liked to see the actual healing techniques, though I did enjoy the video it was very interesting. Maybe they thought the horse would be more relaxed if it was distracted I don't know.

It’s pretty interesting not ONE other person has made that comment!
Does she happen to be eating a lot in this video? Yes.
Does home girl like her groceries?! Hell yeah!
But liking her groceries & her being a lil plump VS actually being OBESE, are two TOTALLY, TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS! As much as I personally disagree with that statement, (that she’s obese, I won’t deny she seems to be plump, but I draw the line there! In NO WAY would I ever think the O word)
But, for the sake of argument; let’s say she happened to be the word you’re choosing to use “OBESE!” (Which if were the case, as quick as ppl are to jump on the Internet, this woulda blown up in the comments anyway, let’s be honest)
Buts let’s say for arguments sake; that were the case...
      Seriously....who the hell are you?!
For someone who’s trying to sound so righteous & concerned, the tone & word choice you’re conveying is COMPLETELY unacceptable! If you really cared/were concerned about the well being of the animal, I feel you’d be better off to take that time to educate rather than using the opportunity to morally attack others/scare them into your viewpoints& opinions. Implying things such as “your horse is gonna DIE! YOU’RE feeding it to death”
      I mean, WTF?!
That’s not helpful! That’s just vindictive. And I’d say with that attitude your probably better off staying offline and limiting your diet concerns to yourself.
That and.... homegirl will tell you...
      the camera adds 10/15 lbs....
Shit... just ask my drivers license.. 💁🏼‍♀️

She points out pretty clearly/says early on; these are things you physically could not see nor spot on the horse UNLESS she was on.
Her being on the horse allows certain muscles of the horses to engage which allow‘s her identify whats actually going on & figure the issue at hand so she can treat it rather than it going unnoticed & snow balling into something MUCH more severe. Even if the knots didn’t progress into something worse; for a horse to continue to carry that trauma/stress ISNT healthy !
I get what your saying ; in terms of people who ride abusively , but taking everything these 2 are saying into account as well as how they & the horse are reacting... I REALLY don’t think those types of concerns apply to these guys. They seem to be incredibly in tuned.
I absolutely LOVE what she says during the video “it’s not that she was ridden, it’s HOW was she ridden...”
      SO DAMN TRUE!!
