Hi, amazing video! Thank you! One question: When you would send these technical sheets to production, what exactly would you include? Only the flat drawings, the patterns as well?.. I'm a fashion design student, this would be really helpful! Thanks!
Hey Vénus, thank you for your comment, I hope you're enjoying fashion school :) When I send my designs to production I send them the illustration, the measurement chart and the tech file. The measurement chart specifies how wide and long every piece of the garment should be, in every size. It's a lot of work to make and it is super important to get the measurements right. If you produce 5000 sweaters and the neck opening is too small, you won't be able to sell them and you or the company you design for will loose a lot of money. The tech file is a spreadsheet that lists all the materials, trimmings, treatments and pantone color codes for the garment. I hope this was helpful :) Love T
Great Video! I'm not from Norway but this really gave me insight into how good traditional clothing can reflect a country's culture and taste. I love knitwear and am looking to go to school for knitwear design. Are there any good schools you recommend, I am in the U.S. but I am open to going abroad.
Hey Jonathan, thank you so much 🤗 Designing knit is a lot of fun and as you learn more about the different things you can do, you can be super creative 🤩 Thank for giving me great ideas for making more videos 💗 Love T
Hey Jonathan, that's exciting! Do you want to learn more about using patterns or creating patterns in AI? I would love to help you and create more videos on this topic 💖 Love T

Also, I would love to learn how to use my Adobe Illustrator to incorporate knitting patterns of my flat drawings.

What program/software are you using?
I use adobe illustrator 😊 Every professional designer I know use AI, even the manufacturers.
