I did lease purchase with US Xpress long enough to save money and buy my own truck. Now i still have a truck payment, but they are monthly and alot less than those weekly payments. Im still with US Xpress because the account im on is awesome and they keep me moving. But, knowing i have that option now to explore other opportunities is a good feeling. Im not feeling restrained to one company.
Just started with US Xpress. Drove for Wilson/Prime reefer is ok. You’ll get use to the unit running. It’s challenging during summer months because the units struggle to keep the temperature. You might get alarm messages every 5 minutes. You have to get trailer washouts after every load and fuel the reefer. But it’s not bad. I’m sure you will do well. Good on you for wanting more and pushing past the unknown.
What's up, I'm actually starting with USXPRESS going to orientation this monday. 12 days out and 2 home is not what I am looking for but is what i'm going to do until I get the experience i need. Home weekly is what my family requires of me in order to see my son.
Lease trucks are the worst option to take, but it’s the quickest. You need to research which fuel card you need to save the most amount of money. Companies want to make a ton of money off you using their fuel card when you save more with your own. Their is no good quick way to O/O status This is the best time to get in if you’ve got money because the equipment is at it cheapest point due to rates being down. Good luck with your endeavors! 5+ years of LP-contractor experience has taught me these things.
Just picked up my truck heading to Schneider. Set yourself up right from the beginning and you'll be good. Get yourself your own fuel card or use mudflap, the discounts will be better
Dude don’t listen to anyone. I drove for Crengland and variant For about 2 years and than leased for just over 5 months with re garrison/ wel companies and just now bought my own truck. You will learn the game very quick, whoever says don’t do it just listen through one ear and out the other. Your hustle and expenses will always be different from the other driver, just keep it between the lines and you’ll be good. Goodluck with everything be safe out here
My advice would be to buy a house wit some land u can park trucks on buy a old truck outright and pay it off park it at your house and take out a 100k loan on your house and finance a nice truck 😂
