God, this is the first time I'm hearing this theme since I played this game back when it was released. Pokemon games were a large and happy part of my childhood and this generation was my favourite, slightly above Gold/Silver. Dat nostalgic feels.. 8-Bit only intensifies it. Makes me quite melancholic, since my life really became a mess until then. :P
This sounds pulled straight from MOTHER 1. Superb!

I got my AlphaSapphire on the Release date, and it was so epic 😊. I remembered that I use to have Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. But some how, I lost them 😔.

Dude, the same happened to me. My very first Pokemon was Emerald, but whenever I first got a DS as well as Pokemon Pearl, my Emerald vanished a few days later. Sadly, I've not found it to this day(which is why I cherish the remake)

Man... This was one of my first video games ever. This song brings me back so many years ago sitting in my room with my gameboy past my bedtime.

Ah, I remember when I first got Emerald, my first ever Pokémon game. T'was fun, and even though I don't really play Pokémon anymore.. I may just pick up ORAS, if only for nostalgia reasons. ;D

(Though to be fair, my current names aren't exactly original either. :U)
Emerald was my first as well! I tried so hard to complete that Pokedex by trading, and I even got a Johto starter from completing the Hoenn Dex(see, a friend and I used the BF cloning glitch, as well as XD: Gale of Darkness, so that we could each have all 3 starters from Johto). It was a great time when I was still learning Pokemon(and now there are over 700!!)
I even remembered dreaming of getting the extremely rare legendaries and myth pokemon, and my dream has reached that reality with ORAS(minus Hoopa, of course)
This feels more cleaner then the GBA one.

There is just 1 problem with this soundtrack.
8 bit traditionally either had mono or joint-mono sound output. So it was either one speaker to one whole soundtrack, or it was 2 speakers making the same output.
Stereo DID exist, but not traditionally.
But you knows what?
It sounding different what is I look out for in videos. Being different is good for me.

So, I haven't played most of the games, but as far as I can tell just from onlooking, Gen 3 would probably be my second favorite.
This really makes me want a GBC demake of Ruby/Sapphire with Bulby on the soundtrack.

I just assumed that you were going to use the 8-bit little root town graphics from the NES bootleg pokemon diamond.
I'm not sure if you take requests, but I'd love another Xenoblade Chronicles song! Seriously, these 8-bit remixes are amazing!!!
I honestly wish the music in this game were more in the gameboy style like this. I don't understand why, but I find that kind of music has a certain charm to it.
(Also, the Violet City theme and National Park theme are some of the best songs in the series in my opinion. Though my memories of the pallet town theme still lasts to this day. I remember getting Pokemon yellow from a friend who didn't use it anymore. I was about seven or eight. I loaded it into my GBA not even knowing if it would fit. I started up a save, and bam! Once I got out of the house I knew this was gonna be a game worth playing)
And then the save battery died three years after I completed the game. R.I.P Pidgeot... (The first Pokemon I caught, I didn't know there was a Pokemon storage system at the time so I kept on training it. It became my strongest, winning against the elite four several times. Catching Mewtwo.)
Every time I get a new Pokemon game, I keep a Pidgeot in my party...
just to nit pick, the hands, hat, and backpack of ruby would be skin tone, to keep the same 3 colors per sprite pallet. (technically 4 colors, but the 4th is transparency)

The weird part is, the game was already an 8-bit game. I mean, it was on a 32 Bit processor, but it was still an 8-bit game.
