- Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhonsle were humiliated during a song recording when they both were young singers. This video tells the viewers all about that incident including who humiliated Kishore Kumar & Asha Bhonsle and which song were they originally recording under music director Khemchand Prakash. Both Kishore Kumar & Asha Bhonsle left the recording room after this incident. Both Kishore Kumar & Asha Bhonsle faced a lot of obstacles in their respective professional careers initially because Kishore Kumar was not a trained singer and Asha Bhonsle never got songs to sing due to preference given to her elder sister Lata Mangeshkar. Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle are the GOD of music! I cannot express how much I love them. But at the same time, they are human beings and they also have seen the struggle... In fact even more than today's singers. Well, I can't even call today's so-called Singers, as real singers, because the whole process and quality standards have lower to the level where we hardly hear any good music... And that too does not last long.
So the point is, NEVER lose heart, keep moving with commitment and focus... Success does arrive in its own style, way, intensity, etc etc. Be a good human, is the essence of life!

It happens to everyone, everywhere. I heard that legend Sivaji Ganesan was so reluctant to accept T.M. Soundararajan as his play back singer in 'Thookku Thookki' (1954) and he requested the producer to sign in C.S. Jeyaraman (who used to sing for him) instead. But the producer stood strong and the result, a legend in TMS emerged. Sivaji Ganesan too, impressed much and began to take him for his playback in most of his movies.
MGR too was too much reluctant to accept a new music director for his film 'Jenovah' (1953). MGR was not too famous then. I heard that the producer said that the music director would be the same even if MGR was not willing to do the film. Later MGR listened to the songs composed and realized the fault on his part. Not only that, he went to the music director's home and apologized for his reluctance before. Then started the big bond between the MD and MGR. The music directors in question were M.S. Viswanathan & Ramamoorthy.
@Rahoul: You have sung the song in Kishore kumar's voice. It is a treat to listen to this song in Kishore da style through you. Had it been sung in Asha ji and Kishore ji's voice as the only version or even as a second version along with Talat sahab and Geeta Dutt ji's voice, it would have been a greater treat to ears and would have been a memorable song 😊

Another incident is coming to my mind when in the film Baap re Baap (1955) Kishore Kumar puts his hand on Chand Osmani's mouth when singing " pia pia pia mera jia pukare " when riding In the Tanga. Was this part of the script or was it a flaw in recording with Asha Bhonsle Ji and the director decided to utilise this in the film ?? I'm sure you can shed some light on this !!
Mr. Rahul , you listened to the first several lines. Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle did not have the courage to say anything to Robin Chatterjee. He was a very respected music director and senior to Salil Chowdhury. He started with sound recordists, he was a music director of many Hindi films, and most Bengali hit songs are composed by Rabin Chatterjee. Yeh information sunney ke baad woh insaan legend to keya usey Insaan kahte huey sharm mehsoos karta hoon. Legend to tha woh do farishte The Great Mahagayak, Mahanayak, Sangeetkar, Geetkar, Nirdeshak, Nirmata one and only Kishore Kumar Nd Dariya Dilwali Mahan Gayika Asha Bhoshle Jee.

There was no LP record in 1948. Only 78 rpm record of one song on each side of the disc was in use. No question of Lata's Ayega anewala song in LP.

Today nobody knew Robin sound recordist as well as a flop producer. But Kishore Da and Asha Tai are alive in our hearts forever.

I appreciate about the information you gave sir. But you said Robin Chatterjee was just a recordist. Maybe you don't know that he himself was a legendary composer in Bengali film industry. He was a great music director , even SD Burman and Salil Chowdhury respected him very much for his great contribution in Bengali music. The story may be true, but please next time show little respect about who are you talking about. Otherwise, I enjoy you videos.
Not sure if the sound recordist Robin Chatterjee is the same person as the famous music director. The music director was famous in Bengal and he also gave music to a few Hindi movies. He had a great liking for Talat’s voice. But Jan Pehchan songs being recorded in 1948 is very strange. Did they wait for one or two full years to get the song recorded by Talat and Geeta? Talat Mahmood made it to Mumbai only in 1949.
