I ended up on a last minute trip to Paris alone for 10 days where I had Ashley spontaneously join half way through. I hate when people say, Paris is so overrated! Paris is such a beautiful city; outside the touristy areas it actually not as chaotic. You should definitely look into living in Paris for awhile. The French way of life is so pleasant taking time during your meals, enjoying vacations, and the FOOD!

I'm a 25 year old who has lived in İstanbul, Australia, London, Toulouse. I currently live in Paris, I'd call Parisian life style the most chaotic, fast-paced and exhausting. Paris is fun for 6 months, and then the negativity of people living in the city gets too disturbing. Would love to be just a tourist again in Paris. Unfortunately reality is much different.

I'm just going to assume it's Elena's sense of humor/sarcasm at 8:59 (I'm a newbie to her channel) or she meant canal strolling but for anyone planning to pack a bikini to Paris will be disappointed to learn are no beaches there - unless you count the one week out of the year artificial 'beach' 'Paris Plage'.
So far enjoying Elena's inspiring and informational travels and book vids.
No she was in sicily before paris and packed only beachy outfits
The twelve years I was saving money to move to Europe, I had foreign film showings and ethnc food dinners at my house, trying to transport the life had tasted in my travels abroad...to San Diego, where I lived a good deal of my life. And, it was lovely, but not really what I wanted it to be. Then, I got here.That was more than twenty years ago. Along the way, I swapped flats with Greenwich Village and San Francisco friends so I could visit the US and have various adventures during the summers. I have never regretted my decision to leave the United States. I was destined for this life. When my parents died, I was with them in California, when my sister died, I was with her in Nebraska...I am so grateful for those experiences. That said, living here is my place and this is home. I will never be European. I will forever the expat and while this poses challenges sometimes, it is a choice and a dream. Thank you for sharing and enjoy it all.
