1. failed to avoid twilight's shockwave got ragdolled which unironically saved him from 2 grand volley attacks
2. the last grand volley javelin ragdolled you into a tree causing you not to get thrown into the shadows and instantly die

This boss out of them all is the least reliant on items I beat him with cresendo pirate sidearm and mine (he acttualy stepped on the mine lol)

All I can say is just good old fashioned practice to adapt to his attacks. Really helps out against Star Platinum and Darkheart.
