the loading of the extension arm and the attachments doesn't seem right. DOT regulations would have the boom farthest up on the trailer deck so the majority of its weight would be on the kingpin of the trailer to prevent the trailer from possibly lifting up when going over multiple hills or uneven roads. In most cases, the boom would be transported on a lowboy to prevent a possible tip-over from a sudden tight turn or side impact in the event of a collision. The attachments would be secured to the deck on the rear of the trailer above the axles to add more weight to them to prevent any loss of trailer brake efficiency. If the load is too heavy for certain states with their highway load limits, the attachments would be hauled separately on another trailer hauled by another truck. That is how we load trailers in the states.
Nice review there Ian You mention that the model comes with a warning about stability angles. That's probably straight from the operators manual as is best practice to work within the track frame in high reach configuration
Great model, loads of functions. The only thing, is they could have done something to those hinges(like paint them),they're not that obvious, on the 1/1. It would have cost a lot more, though.
I’m so sorry I haven’t watched you in forever. Honestly you’re a very underrated model reviewer and I hope you’re having the best times and will continue (or begin) to really enjoy what you have grown.
Another excellent review Ian! Model appears to be well engineered. I like that the operator is removable. Still don't like the new Modern Hex trade dress though...but that's not DM's fault.
I prefer realism over play-ability and those side panel doors are horrendous. The model looks like it's made out of Lego blocks. Not just the huge , unpainted hinges, but the 2mm gaps around the doors are just unsightly.
I was just going to say the same thing about those doors and hinges this is by far the worst Diecast Masters excavator model they have made. A total piece of garbage and the people who will pay 350 for it are idiots

Agree that a lowboy might be more usual. It would help with headroom.
The loading configuration seems legit
Very Cool model!!
I love Demolition Excavator!!
Nice review there Ian

Every demo boom I've seen transported has been on a low boy. But that's just Massachusetts
Excelente maquina 😊👍
That model looks so cool but the price is insane it's like $350 I think.
Quite cheap for a 1:50 diecast
No way would i pay 350 for this its not worth that price
I was going to preorder this (I never pre order anything) but even I thought the price was too much for what this is.
Yeah it’s stupid how expensive it is
Its not on their website.
At dealers very soon.
@@CranesEtcTV If its not on their website dealers cant have it and people cant buy it.
The clue is in my previous answer "At dealers very soon".

Touch of paint is nothing, the tin and bits of sponge cost more.
@@CarlosAlberto-ii1li Indeed.I have quite a few DM models, the metal boxes take up way too much room.I would like to collect more, but can't.
Are metal tins really much bigger than other packaging?
@@CranesEtcTV At least you can flatten some packaging, and put them in a much smaller space.
@@CranesEtcTV they have to be.....
I love you
