So powerful! I pray that everyone who has the opportunity to hear the teachings in part 1 and 2 really heeds to the words of David A. Bednar. He strengthens me and I know as I have feasted upon the words of Christ in scripture and conference talks and through fellow members it has helped me to prepare better that I might obtain his word first and prepare myself for when I am called to serve. Ill be serving a full time mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in just about a months time. I pray to be able to share this gospel with all the wonderful people in my area just as profoundly as our beloved apostles do.

But if something is taught that can't be verified by Scripture, think twice about believing it. I understand why so many people are leaving the church. Many false doctrines exist causing countless UA-cam videos mocking Mormonism. False doctrines like grandpa gods, (God the Father has a father), Mormons becoming gods of their own planets, Adam helped create the earth, Christ and Satan are brothers, God the Father has rarely spoken in Scripture, the African Americans were bad in the pre-existence; all of which no Scripture verifies. And many are leaving the church because if you don't fit the mold the church leaders sculpture you're not a part of the click. Mormons believe the church leaders over Scripture. The zealous believers have the church leaders in mind with everything thing they think say and feel testifying to impress others how much they believe the current church leaders are God-inspired. But the Scriptures reveal the church leaders are the problem with the entire planet. For example, In 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 we are informed of a person revealed as the son of perdition. This son of perdition sits in the temple of God making himself God or above all that is called God. Therefore, if the Mormon Church is the only true church, and I believe it is and will back that belief using the Scriptures, then the only person 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 could be talking about is the current Mormon prophet. For what other church is the one and only true church with temples? And Joseph Smith taught a son of perdition can only be a church member holding all the rites of God's priesthood and using the priesthood against God as did Judas. Therefore, who else other than the current Mormon prophet could the apostle Paul be speaking of? It's as plain as the nose on a face. And even God in the Doctrine and Covenants tells us about the current church leaders and how displeased He is saying the end of this world will begin among them. (D&C 112:23-26) Joseph Smith taught the false doctrine of grandpa gods (God the Father has a father) not over the pulpit as a prophet but as a sermon at a funeral, which should not be taken as Scripture fulfilling God’s sayings to Paul, And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: (2 Thessalonians 2:11) That they might be damned who believed not the truth….(2Thessalonians 2:12) And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. (Revelation 13:7) (D&C 112:23-26) And the current Mormon prophet is the son of perdition because he has all the saints believing God our Heavenly Father was created by a being greater than Himself but Scripture says there is no greater than our God. (Hebrews 6:13) Therefore, the son of perdition has all the saints breaking the first commandment God gave Moses, Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Does it make sense to reasonable thinking that God would command we have no other gods before Him but really there are? Does He not want us to know this? Why is it a secret? There’s a reason He commanded to have no other gods before Him. Because by believing in false grandpa gods the saints believe our God is an infinitely lesser God putting Lucifer before God. And the moment we put a god before our God, our God becomes an infinitely lesser God. Not only that, our God also becomes a liar. He and the Scriptures says He is the greatest of all. He and the Scriptures says He is the Most High God. He and the Scriptures say He created all things. And in the Scriptures He says over and over there are no gods beside Him. (Isaiah 44:6) (Isaiah 44:8) (Isaiah 45:22) (Hebrews 6:13) Therefore, the saints believing there are gods before Him is the saints believing the son of perdition or the current Mormon prophet over the Scriptures and calling God and the Scriptures a lie. And Isaiah warns, Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20) The saints call the son of perdition (President Nelson) good and good (Jesus Christ) evil. Because President Nelson says Christ and His Father are liars. President Nelson says Christ did not create all things. (John 1:1-3) Matter/energy cannot be created or destroyed the scientists say therefore the son of perdition or President Nelson says the grandpa gods created these calling Christ and the Scriptures a lie. Well did Abinadi warn the wicked king Noah and his priests, Have ye taught this people that they should observe to do all these things for to keep these commandments? (Mosiah 13:25) I say unto you, Nay; for if ye had, the Lord would not have caused me to come forth and to prophesy evil concerning this people. (Mosiah 13:26) And what is the commandment Abinadi taught that the people do not obey? Thou shalt have no other God before me. (Mosiah 12:35) Know ye not that I speak the truth? Yea, ye know that I speak the truth; and you ought to tremble before God. (Mosiah 12:30) And it is a false doctrine to say God our Heavenly Father has rarely spoke to us in Scripture. To the depths of my simple being I believe all that has been spoken here. As a convert from Hornbook Calif, this glorious Gospel took me from a hopeless childhood to a life of warm light of total belief and all that Joseph Smith testifies of and this gallant servant, Elder David Bednar bears testimony of here. Thank you Elder Bednar for making all this possible for us to hear and watch this great refresher course in the church. I am so grateful the Lord has provided this technology for his children. I would pray that if there are people out there in church and outside of the church, if they still have questions that they would contact the missionaries so they may go through a refresher course in the gospel of Jesus Christ and the restored Church on Earth today. I know the things Elder Bednar spoke about is true, he is a true apostle of the Lord. Elder Bednar, you have certainly have been feeling the shoes of the apostle that come before you. Thank you for posting Part 1 & 2 of Elder Bednar's message. I'm grateful for the opportunity and reminder of the Truths I have come to know and Love! I needed this reminder because Satan has been filling my head with doubts, not only about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, but also about the truths found in the Bible. I am grateful for the quotes from the Prophet Joseph Smith Jr. and others who have shared their wisdom and knowledge. I am also grateful for Elder Bednar's choice in reviewing our Articles of Faith. I was just reading them recently and I'm grateful that we still hold these important Doctrines! Elder Bednar, you are Not boring me! I believe if you are not born of the spirit of the Lord and serve the Lord, it may be hard for some to listen to this but not me , it is perfect. It's great to walk with the spirit of the Lord daily and consume as much as possible of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Elder Bednar is very good explaining things.

Well, I have talked with some of those people that criticize the church. Just like in the book of mormon, and they are so far off. It's pitiful but none of my concern because they don't want to change. Opposition is getting stronger as we get closer to the coming of the Lord. You can say the great and spacious building is expanding its Walls to fit more none believers In. I know the opposition will be much worse later. I know the things we are learning in the church is extremely important even in the next life. And that is all that matters to me. I know this is the church of Jesus Christ. And the leadership is so amazing ,nothing like our church is in existence in the world. To the critics of the world. I am not leaving the church of Jesus Christ the letter until it's my time to leave this world. It is wonderful to have apostles and a prophet to lead us in the last days. I can't imagine not having them and be left alone out there to exist. Thank you all that serve Our gracious Lord and Father in Heaven to make this church Possible In the world. I wonder if we focused for a time on our commitment to Christ, our sacrifices for Him, our receiving Spiritual gifts, our ability to do Greater Things than He did, our Spirit and not as much on saying we make covenants, would we grow as a Church? So many people are like Oh I’m baptized.. I’ve made covenants.. all is great.. I’m Good.. No more..
I agree. I would say we are not very good at making our religion an introspective experience as much as it has become a way to externally validate my need to be seen as good. In our need to quantify and measure faith and worthiness, we have adopted a cultural malaise that focuses far to much on external morality than actually having Godliness planted, nourished and grown in my inward parts. Behavior is certainly a problem, don't get me wrong, however behavior comes from somewhere, and in our zealousness to produce righteous behavior, we hide and suppress our woundedness that lurks below the waters surface, and we are not learning better how to care for people, rather, we are learning primarily how to manufacture good behavior.
The more we humble ourselves before the Lord through repentance and service to our fellow man the closer we become to our Lord. The more we give our Lord, the more the Lord gives to us. Repentance is the key to happiness, to life itself even peace and joy. With more could you ask for, it's all by our dedication in keeping our Covenants. If you can't keep the little commitments how are you two live the bigger Commandments. Once you find truth you can never deny truth.
It is their choice when trying to understand different Things in gospel of Jesus Christ. We all have a choice to move forward or stay the same. Some people say, all you have to do is believe. To me, none of this is enough. I want the greater things in the Kingdom of God. I do my best to stay away from peoples opinion. I I Want trust only and There is no room for rumors in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ask, and it will be given in the name of Jesus Christ. All things will be revealed just ask.
@@tsmithson1you make it sound like this is complicated but it is not. It's important that you focus on yourself not others. It's your salvation, not your neighbors. It's really a simple process, read your scriptures and ask for understanding and the mysteries of heaven will be open to you and others if you will just ask. It sounds like you are falling short on your research and prayer . Never pass up the opportunity to ask God what you need in your life. No one can fall short except their understanding how the system works with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. No one can say there is not enough of this or that because there is more than enough information to go around for a hundred years. There is no excuse to not seek and find what you need. Some thing can help is repentance obedience and gratefulness, the more you give the more the Lord will give.

Priesthood… It seems through my experience that many not of our church do work under the Holy Spirit, doing miracles, testifying, gaining powerful faith, teaching pure doctrine, prophesying, and more. I understand that what you say means this can’t happen because they have not been given the Priesthood keys by prophet authority, but from my experience, I see miracles and others doing His great works… CS Lewis, Corrie Ten Boom, Gladys Aylward, Hudson Taylor, Kisses from Katie ( her book title) and my local friends here in Ky. I am conflicted because of what I believe and see in the church and out of the church. Please give a talk explaining these things… Seeing that non priesthood people do great miracles and work for Him! And seeing they have the gifts of the Spirit!
It’s because God leaves none of his children alone. The spirit of Christ is in and through all things. They are both true. The fullness is here among us in the form of Christ’s restored church. This takes in account all of the wonderful people outside the Church who have spiritual gifts and even perform miracles. They are the best candidates to increase their faith and experience all that God has revealed by joining the fullness of the gospel and all it has to offer.
The priesthood is a gift from the Lord to perform in his Name. Other people can perform many different blessings just anyone else. No one is left out of Gospel of Jesus Christ if they are worthy and have the , Faith matters. The priesthood holder can perform a lot more different blessings by having the priesthood that's all. Other churches or people are limited. Faith matters.
It sounds like you have a lot of unanswered questions. Your education is Vital. It sounds like you need more scriptures and prayer. So that you can understand what you are Seeking. Like elder Bednar said ask and that will be given by God and revealed To you only. Don't waste this gift, that is there available for each of use when we All have questions. At least you're searching for answers. And that's what we are all to do. Don't let other books confuse you stick with the scriptures and prayer.

Look at how widely the Original Twelve Apostles took their testimonies of Christ? Could we say hundreds of millions believe because of these 12 men and the disciples who supported them? The 11 with the added number 12?? Why did that happen? The message of the Bible is still glowing and flowing and revolutionizing the world? For 200 years the BOM has been here Coukd we do better? Why can’t we get our message that God has created a new Church restored this Amazing Original Church to earth? What can we do differently? Raphael. When the Israelis were in the new or promised land they were told to take the church to the Gentiles or that the Gentiles were disbelievers. Who were the Gentiles in the new and promissed land? There is constant reference to shepherds and lambs in the BoM. What did lambs mean to the people in the new world or Promissed Land. THE AMERICAS.
Who had the Priesthood in Jesus day? Was it held by Pharisees or temple workers? Did Mary His Mother? Did Zachariah? Did others? Who laid hands on them? Can others with no Priesthood be given His power by some other way? I see it.. so how?
These are all very astute questions that naturally come up as beliefs and life experiences don't neatly match up. However, to address these questions with intellectual honesty is seen as institutional suicide. Our message of being "The one and only True church", we hold like we are unique in this claim. This claim is the frailty and fragility of humankind being broadcast yet again in order to create "urgency" or FOMO. The claim is old, tired, worn out and not particularly enlightening or inspiring. What would be helpful is if instead of professing to be the light, actual focus on being the light. To insist that our tiny, 200 year old institution is the "only way" is arrogant, prideful and misplaced. Madeleine L'engle said it beautifully, "We draw people to Christ not by loudly discrediting what they believe or by telling them how wrong they are, but by showing them a light that is son lovely that they want with all their hearts to know the source of it".
You can only build bridges with those who aren’t in apostasy? What about our Hindu friends? Bridges? Yes? No? What about our atheist friends? Catholic friends? Protestant friends? If they/we are all the same, do we even need a bridge?
When you seek answers from the Book of Mormon instead of the Bible, God can't help you because you have turned your back on Him. Therefore this leaves the door open for Satan (II Corinthians 11:14-15) to step into your life with a false christ or prophet showing you signs and wonders to lead you away from the real Jesus of the Bible who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity. Mormons teach and believe that their jesus is the brother of Satan, which contradicts what God says in His Bible that Jesus is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity. God Himself warns us about this in MATTHEW 24:23-24 "Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Christ! or There! do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect..." So Mormons, which Jesus do you believe in? A). Your jesus of the Book of Mormon who is the brother of Satan. OR B). The Jesus of the Bible who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.

I PETER 3:15 "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear..." Now, with I PETER 3:15 in mind. Answer this question: Where is the Archeological evidence for the Book of Mormon? To this day, the Mormon church hasn't provided any kind of archeological evidence. If there is no evidence, then the whole Mormon church falls apart.

I believe if you are not born of the spirit of the Lord and serve the Lord, it may be hard for some to listen to this but not me , it is perfect. Well, I have talked with some of those people that criticize the church. Just like in the book of mormon, and they are so far off. It's pitiful but none of my concern because they don't want to change. Opposition is getting stronger as we get closer to the coming of the Lord. You can say the great and spacious building is expanding its Walls to fit more none believers
In. I know the opposition will be much worse later. I know the things we are learning in the church is extremely important even in the next life. And that is all that matters to me. I know this is the church of Jesus Christ. And the leadership is so amazing ,nothing like our church is in existence in the world. To the critics of the world. I am not leaving the church of Jesus Christ the letter until it's my time to leave this world. It is wonderful to have apostles and a prophet to lead us in the last days. I can't imagine not having them and be left alone out there to exist. Thank you all that serve Our gracious Lord and Father in Heaven to make this church Possible In the world. I wonder if we focused for a time on our commitment to Christ, our sacrifices for Him, our receiving Spiritual gifts, our ability to do Greater Things than He did, our Spirit and not as much on saying we make covenants, would we grow as a Church?

I agree. I would say we are not very good at making our religion an introspective experience as much as it has become a way to externally validate my need to be seen as good.
In our need to quantify and measure faith and worthiness, we have adopted a cultural malaise that focuses far to much on external morality than actually having Godliness planted, nourished and grown in my inward parts.
Behavior is certainly a problem, don't get me wrong, however behavior comes from somewhere, and in our zealousness to produce righteous behavior, we hide and suppress our woundedness that lurks below the waters surface, and we are not learning better how to care for people, rather, we are learning primarily how to manufacture good behavior.
The more we humble ourselves before the Lord through repentance and service to our fellow man the closer we become to our Lord. The more we give our Lord, the more the Lord gives to us. Repentance is the key to happiness, to life itself even peace and joy. With more could you ask for, it's all by our dedication in keeping our Covenants. If you can't keep the little commitments how are you two live the bigger Commandments. Once you find truth you can never deny truth.
It is their choice when trying to understand different Things in gospel of Jesus Christ. We all have a choice to move forward or stay the same. Some people say, all you have to do is believe. To me, none of this is enough. I want the greater things in the Kingdom of God. I do my best to stay away from peoples opinion. I I Want trust only and There is no room for rumors in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ask, and it will be given in the name of Jesus Christ. All things will be revealed just ask.
@@tsmithson1you make it sound like this is complicated but it is not. It's important that you focus on yourself not others. It's your salvation, not your neighbors. It's really a simple process, read your scriptures and ask for understanding and the mysteries of heaven will be open to you and others if you will just ask. It sounds like you are falling short on your research and prayer . Never pass up the opportunity to ask God what you need in your life. No one can fall short except their understanding how the system works with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. No one can say there is not enough of this or that because there is more than enough information to go around for a hundred years. There is no excuse to not seek and find what you need. Some thing can help is repentance obedience and gratefulness, the more you give the more the Lord will give.

Priesthood…
It seems through my experience that many not of our church do work under the Holy Spirit, doing miracles, testifying, gaining powerful faith, teaching pure doctrine, prophesying, and more.
I understand that what you say means this can’t happen because they have not been given the Priesthood keys by prophet authority, but from my experience, I see miracles and others doing His great works… CS Lewis, Corrie Ten Boom, Gladys Aylward, Hudson Taylor, Kisses from Katie ( her book title) and my local friends here in Ky.
I am conflicted because of what I believe and see in the church and out of the church.
Please give a talk explaining these things…
Seeing that non priesthood people do great miracles and work for Him!
And seeing they have the gifts of the Spirit!
It’s because God leaves none of his children alone. The spirit of Christ is in and through all things. They are both true. The fullness is here among us in the form of Christ’s restored church. This takes in account all of the wonderful people outside the Church who have spiritual gifts and even perform miracles. They are the best candidates to increase their faith and experience all that God has revealed by joining the fullness of the gospel and all it has to offer.

The priesthood is a gift from the Lord to perform in his Name. Other people can perform many different blessings just anyone else. No one is left out of Gospel of Jesus Christ if they are worthy and have the , Faith matters. The priesthood holder can perform a lot more different blessings by having the priesthood that's all. Other churches or people are limited. Faith matters.
It sounds like you have a lot of unanswered questions. Your education is Vital. It sounds like you need more scriptures and prayer.
So that you can understand what you are Seeking. Like elder Bednar said ask and that will be given by God and revealed To you only. Don't waste this gift, that is there available for each of use when we All have questions. At least you're searching for answers. And that's what we are all to do. Don't let other books confuse you stick with the scriptures and prayer.

These are all very astute questions that naturally come up as beliefs and life experiences don't neatly match up.
However, to address these questions with intellectual honesty is seen as institutional suicide. Our message of
being "The one and only True church", we hold like we are unique in this claim. This claim is the frailty and fragility
of humankind being broadcast yet again in order to create "urgency" or FOMO. The claim is old, tired, worn out
and not particularly enlightening or inspiring.
What would be helpful is if instead of professing to be the light, actual focus on being the light.
To insist that our tiny, 200 year old institution is the "only way" is arrogant, prideful and misplaced.
Madeleine L'engle said it beautifully, "We draw people to Christ not by loudly discrediting what they believe or by telling them how
wrong they are, but by showing them a light that is son lovely that they want with all their hearts to know the source of it".

When you seek answers from the Book of Mormon instead of the Bible, God can't help you because you have turned your back on Him. Therefore this leaves the door open for Satan (II Corinthians 11:14-15) to step into your life with a false christ or prophet showing you signs and wonders to lead you away from the real Jesus of the Bible who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.
Mormons teach and believe that their jesus is the brother of Satan, which contradicts what God says in His Bible that Jesus is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity. God Himself warns us about this in MATTHEW 24:23-24 "Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Christ! or There! do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect..."
So Mormons, which Jesus do you believe in?
A). Your jesus of the Book of Mormon who is the brother of Satan.

B). The Jesus of the Bible who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.

To this day, the Mormon church hasn't provided any kind of archeological evidence.
If there is no evidence, then the whole Mormon church falls apart.
