@@anchorthesun3438 nah, he has common sense. so much different than those people. He knows he's just a gay feminine man. he doesn't claim to be a woman. or worse, any of those delusional genders.
What has he done that’s SOOO bad? Anytime I ask someone they never have an answer. Just seems like people want to hate him for fun. Yeah, he said some dumb shit years ago. Who hasn’t? Don’t act like you’ve never done wrong in your life. Such a stupid, selfish world view
i’ve always had a different style since i was like 13, which seems more common now. I’ve always worn baggish pants (always loved camo pants), with jordan’s (or timbs) and a t-shirt (or crop tops when i got older) and no one has said anything to me about it till a couple years ago. Now people assume i’m gay or bi when i’m just simpy.. not attracted to women and when i try to explain that, i am “lying”. it’s pretty sad how they wanted to preach that gender norms are bad just to make everything “fit” into their labels. I see videos where people are like “gay things i haven’t in my closet” and it’ll just be like a cute crop top or funky earrings. It’s honestly ridiculous
As someone who used to be absolutely left, I think it’s a toxic community that wants you to adopt as many labels as possible so you don’t have to get white, straight and “cis” because that was the worst thing possible to them. News flash, I am white, straight and a woman from birth. Oh, and a Christian!! Brett’s takes are literally the reason I feel some semblance of hope for the people our age
I’m a moderate (ie, I admit that both sides have some good points and I don’t agree with either side 100). I’m Christian. Bi. And I was raised by an amazing mother who taught me that only other people will try to label me. That it’s up to me to say “Forget your labels. I am not a product. I am a person.” Don’t know why people have forgotten that the only things that need labels are things you need to put away.
I find it so refreshing that Jeffree knows the difference between aesthetic and biology. He dresses girly because he feels confident wearing that aesthetic which is great. He understands that feelings and facts aren’t the same and that he’s a feminine man as opposed to a woman. I wish the rest of the lgbtq community realised that most things in life are out of our power to control or change.
He literally said right after that he wasn’t trying to deny the existence of nonbinary people 💀. Take your 5th grade knowledge of biology and go idolize someone who isn’t a nazi sympathizer
Well said. I have watched Jeffree for years and one thing I noticed about him is that no matter what is happening he stays the same...he doesn't seem to change his ethics or personality to suit the current politics. There is a reason the man came from absolutely nothing to being a billionaire running multiple company's. The reason is he is intelligent and thinks for himself and doesn't let anything and everything drag him down
Announcing your pronouns is like an artist having to stand next to his art and explain it to everyone because no one gets it. And even after he explains it, everyone is still confused.
“You’re only cancelled if you let yourself be cancelled” so true and i feel like it’s more of whether or not you care. Jeffery is telling it how it is with today’s society and he may be crazy but at least he knows that he’s actually a man
It's a nice sentiment, but i don't think it's true. Losing your career, or getting blacklisted from most major platforms is getting cancelled, regardless of what you wanna call it, and some people just don't have a choice in the matter.
Jeffrey star never identified as a man in his videos he went by she/her and he/him I haven’t finished the video yet so I don’t know yet if he changed his mind but if not just know he tried to be androgynous
@@natalt7585 Still the same sentiment. Stop adding useless labels. Your need to define, is based purely on your need to placate your fear of the unknown. Pretty bigoted imo to try and define someone else's identity.
jeffree is what being woke means, just wearing and putting on whatever you want, getting together with whoever you want and not trying to make anyone call you anything or LETTING CHILDREN DECIDE OVER STUFF THEY DONT EVEN KNOW ABOUT
If you mean "he is awake and aware" than yes. But WOKE means always getting offended, and hating everyone for stupid reasons. Basically everything he stated in the video.
Jeffrey is the exact opposite of Dylan Mulvaney. I swear it’s like an alternate universe thing. One is just straight up a dude who likes to dress and style himself basically like a woman, and fully owns that. No pretentious label crap or pronoun games. The other is a man playing a stereotypical caricature of a woman, talking delusion on a daily basis, and advertising tampons like he has any idea what it’s like to need them. Kinda wish we could get these two in a room. Jeffrey is so based that Dylan would likely implode under the weight of his own cringe.
Yeap. Dylan Mulvaney wears women's clothes as a costume and appropriates womanhood. Although instead of styling himself like a woman, I think Jeffree Star just wears whatever he wants.
I totally agree with this! You can be feminine as a man and still be a man. Even as a straight or gay man. Same thing for women. Without deluding yourself that you should be a different gender.
That's all it is. When a male has too much estrogen he is more feminine, and a lot of these people are being told if they feel this they must just be female. But that's not reality.
Being weird is one thing. Jeffrey for instance. Weird dude. Even being in the same room with him would make Michael Knowles have a seizure. But I'll take a million Jeffrey Stars over a single person trying to bully everyone into following along with their delusion of they/them shit.
And the funny thing is that I could 100% see being friends with this person, and can't even stress how much how he chooses to live his life-he isn't trying to force his lifestyle on anyone, wants to leave children alone, and isn't trying to force speech on anybody. Glad to see him living his life.
@@graveyj2000 maybe he's not trying to trans the kids, but he's definitely hurt some children. He helped cover for Davie vanity. He's a gross individual that will say or do anything to get back a little bit of relevancy.
i am a twelve year old girl and half of my middle school is trans. (i have a small middle school) And i had a friend at some point who kept trying to convince me that it was all true and normal. I am so relieved that you fixed my opinion. i had already not liked all of the they/them etc. but you helped me undertsand that you CANNOT physically change your gender. And those kids in my school are all girls. they are all not healthy. They try to look more masculine so they gain weight so that their boobs arent as noticeable, and they are also very rude and bullies. they are trying to leave an impression. The librarians kid went there to the school for eighth grade and was a trans male. Like you just cant. that isnt how it works. in so sick and fricking tired of all this crap.
as a 13 year old, in a school full of furries and gays and lesbians, it is so refreshing to see someone close to my age be sane and not completley covered in this crap the internet normalized.
Try to see them as sick patients who need urgent care/ healing! They wouldn't be on the streets or even on the internet if this had happened 30 or 40 years ago! Obviously, before the internet, this would be considered sheer madness and would require internment in the asylum. There are still normal people out here in the real world, hope you will find them and stay sane!
Same! Most of my friends are trans and want to go on hormones and medically transition. Some of them also have a hatred towards cis, white, straight men because “they’re homophobic” when they’re only talking about a specific group of cis, white, straight men. I don’t understand it. Just like they often say, it’s not fair to generalize.
We went from not wanting to be labeled into wanting our own label and lording it over people or else they’re a bigot, transphobic or whatever. Just be who you are. True self love comes with being comfortable and confidence in yourself without having to forcing affirmation from others. Let’s rally up together and focus our energy on other matters we can be facing for the greater good
It used to be about not being judged when you tell people you are gay etc. Its just who you date, not your personality etc. But now everyone makes their sexuality and gender their personality
I had a period of time growing up when I dressed like a tomboy. I was doing it to avoid boys looking at me, which started to be a thing after puberty. I just wanted the boys to mind their own business. I wasn’t trans. There are many reasons for many actions, and jumping to conclusions about them is almost always a bad idea.
And most other girls who dress in a slightly more masculine way are genuinely interested in the kinds of physical activity for which such clothing is more comfortable or something like that, rather than any thoughts of wanting to be a boy whatsoever. It helps that male clothing is almost all accepted as "gender neutral" I, meanwhile, was a boy who would get pink (men's) T-shirts and dress shirts and own as many pink accessories as I could from a combination of liking the color genuinely _and_ wanting to annoy people with a preconcieved notion that a single family of colors "belongs to" women and boys aren't allowed to have it at all. Same personality growing up today, I'd have focused more on guns and trucks and fitness to stand out instead - doubling down on all things traditionally manly.
Right. Especially jumping to conclusions that are life altering and nearly irreversible (dependent on how long in hrt and how many surgeries) and that’s only for adults who have gone through their original puberty. The kids put on blockers are completely screwed there’s no reversing it like they claim u can. They’ll be fully dependent on the medical system the rest of their life. Transitioning is only right for a much smaller amount of people than we’re seeing and that’s thanks to all of us blowing the topic to the forefront of everyone’s mind you can’t avoid it unless u live under a rock off the grid if u live in the west.
The drinking age and cigarette smoking age should be lowered to 8 years old. See how ridiculous that sounds. It’s like saying an 8 year old should be able to get a sex change.
You'll be hit with "no eight year olds are given sex changes" while they ignore that reinforcing the beliefs of an eight year old to an insane degree makes it more likely for that kid to end up on blockers and start on hormones or SRS before hitting sixteen. Two affirming surgeons have admitted proudly to working on fourteen years olds, but they still think only adults are getting surgeries. You can't argue with people who are prepared to defend their side with lies and an ever shifting goalpost.

He is a refreshing voice. That is exactly what they all are: males who like feminine things, like dresses and makeup. They know in their core that wearing a dress and putting on lipstick are not what make a woman a woman. It’s WAY more than that. Anyone can wear makeup, but not everyone can carry a child, give birth, menstruate, get PCOS, have a hormonal condition that may result in infertility, etc.

Wokeness is a religion becoming born. What do religious zealots do and what do new religions do when they’re born? History says they act irrational, attack people for not accepting their beliefs, doesn’t accept science, doesn’t listen to reason, negates perception and truth, says you are damned/canceled if you don’t accept. Shuns you out the community for not “becoming” so on and so on. Wokeness is an actual religion. There is a saying that goes “big government, small God, small government, big God.

Blaire White, an absolutely drop-dead gorgeous mtf, incredibly based trans person gets called transphobic all the time for not following the "trans agenda". Common sense and language mean nothing to the perennially-triggered.
Jeffery makes some really good points. You can be a guy that likes traditionally feminine things or a girl that is into more masculine stuff. I don’t know why these days, if someone likes something that is more associated with the other gender, all of the sudden they must be transgender. Just be yourself, like what you like, and enjoy life.
I miss the 90s too. We were so close to actual progress and then some weird tipping point came along and now the mainstream is even more regressive than it used to be!
When people say labels are their identity it kills me. Labels are not your identity! You are so much more than that superficial junk. As a millennial I grew up being anti labels and believing my gender and sexuality literally should not matter. You could be a woman and dress how you want, date who you want, and do what you want without having to change anything. People didn't want to be put in a box but now they would assign a label for that too.
Exactly! I'm a Millennial. I recall us fighting against the labels and just wanting to exist as our truest self! Like, "oh, you like to dress is womens clothes?! Do you boo! Let me borrow those heels!". We. Didn't. Care. We just wanted respect and acceptance for all without the damn labels. GenZ is undoing all of it and society is coddling the bullshit
Yeah, the mentality difference between older millennials and gen Z is incredible. I'm an elder millennial, and I run into so many young people in irl and online "LGBT" spaces, and they're all unbelievably anxious about the fact that they don't have a hyper specific set of labels. Like it's not just enough for them to say that they like girls or that they're a lesbian, they think they need to be a non-binary, demi-sexual, trans-masculine, she/they, chapstick lesbian, soft butch, kinky submissive bottom before they're allowed to go on a date with a girl. Just date who you want and calm the fuck down! How the hell is a virgin supposed to figure this stuff out anyways? I feel bad for them, they've been told they're not legitimate and not allowed to be gay unless they buy into all this crap. I think they've also been told that just like being straight, being a run of the mill "cis gendered" homosexual is now boring, and no one will pay attention to them unless they're part of a minority group within a minority group.
This is what a gay man should be! Confident enough to still acknowledge their masculinity without having to bend to a stereotype just to please the community. Nothing but respect for him!
@Emily Catherine I work in bars you would be amazed how much of the LGBT community are centrist or conservative and stay silent due to seeing the treatment that those that aren't as reserved or quiet about their opinions. They are more scared of their so called "Allies".
Yes, but grammar correction: "ONE'S masculinity". It reference's each individual males. One is 2nd person at times, but 3rd person singular, which has derivatives of no one, someone, anyone, and everyone. Everyone is also singular as it references the entire group as one.
“Those labels are their identity “ so true. And, that’s exactly the problem. All those people cherish their cause like a religion. It’s a religion substitute. It’s when they loose it they are set for an existential crisis. Similar to some people who made their illness to such a big thing. They actually got scared to heal as it meant loosing their identity. It’s also similar to students struggling with their last examination. Or starting new studies just before or after finishing their main one. Simply because it became their identity to be a student. a passion is wonderful but one should be very careful to make it one’s identity.
It's just describing how masculine, feminine, or androgenous you feel compared to the average. I.E. Cisgender Male = Masculine Biological Male Fluid-Masc = Man who can feel feminine, androgenuos, and masculine depending on dif. factors Trans Male = Born with the other genitals; typically androgenous or masculine [from what I've seen]

I have dressed as a tomboy all the time while growing up. I have never been confused about wanting to change my gender, probably because I was a kid and it was the right thing to do to not think about changing my body when it is already changing. I'm just baffled at how a simple choice of clothing and dressing sense signals to other people or parents that the child or their child could want a gender change. like dude relax, the clothes are just comfortable.
I have gained some respect for this man. I personally hate labels, why shove yourself into a box? Be yourself, trying to identify with something and slapping a label on your forehead limits you. Finding out who you are is part of growing up. But doing something irreversible at such a young age is not the way to go. Because you will change more as you get older.
What they are doing to children is just infuriating. I'm a woman, and when I was 9-10 years old I chopped my hair like a boy. I used to wear jeans and big shirts, because I wasn't girly. But I never liked girls. I was just a tomboy that I didn't liked dresses; I preferred jeans. If I had grown up in these times, I would've probably been labeled as gay or trans. It's awful that parents nowadays... the people that should be wiser... think that children, at this point in their lives, know who they are, what they want, and where they're going. WTF! I'm 45 years old now and I still question where I'm going. At this age, I'm still a tomboy, but I love men. It's not a crime to be a woman and not love to wear dresses... Even if they look effin good on me, haha! Anyway, this guy is awesome. He's saying it like it is. The rest are an embarrassment to the human race. Period.
As a gay dude that doesn’t really fit into “traditional masculinity” but still holds MANY right wing opinions, thank you for taking someone like Jeffree’s opinion seriously. It truly is common sense. Great video

More Jefree please. He’s such a breath of fresh air after all the looney-tunes we’ve been dealing with. Trans women should 100% follow his example to find their way to acceptance.
I like how the thing when I was in school was throwing away labels (I quite literally remember one of the quotes I repeatedly told people was “I’m not a soup can, don’t try to put a label on me and stack me on a shelf with the others”) and now the thing is to label everything, everything needs a label, everything needs to have a name for what it is! It’s confusing, why’re we going backwards now? 😂 It’s also INSANELY stressful trying to figure out what “group” you fit into, what you “are”, etc. You don’t have to do any of that. Just live and it’ll come to you.
I have a new respect for Jeffree Star. It's men calling themselves women that irritate me. I am a woman that feels appropriated when this happens - a la that offensive little man called Dylan Mulvaney.
"These labels are their identity." Yeah, we know, and that's why it's so pathetic. They're leaning on a hollow, broken crutch, and one day it'll snap in half and probably stab them where it really hurts. I have no intention of playing pretend with them, but what I _really_ want is for them to embrace reality and _actually_ do well.
It’s crazy to me because I never realized this until right now, I use to watch Jeffrey Stars’ UA-cam videos all the time and I neverrr looked at him in any type of way. I didn’t think about him being transgender, I just really enjoyed his makeup tutorials and he has a sense of humor that I find funny ! I’ve always just viewed him as Jeffrey Star, a human being.
In a few years when this fad is over, these people will probably feel embarrassed about how easily they were manipulated by the media.. I'm so glad I graduated in 08. This shit is mental
what really bothers me about this society is that were not allowed to learn and are automatically judged and expected to be labeled something as if we're not constly growing and learning. Kids go through stages that don't define them until they're comfortable in their own skin (older and more experienced in life). With that said a lot of the things Jeffree said where people called for him to get "canceled" were said when he was a TEEN. people grow and people learn from their mistakes.
As they say, you cannot dip your toe in the same river twice. Change is the only constant in life and this obsession with fixing people and things in time is not only weak, perpetuated by people who cannot handle the vagaries of life because they can only deal with the familiar and certain, it is harmful to all of the folks around them, like these children being pushed before they understand the consequences, to make choices and freeze their beliefs in place.

@@Alvinatt the point is that it’s dumb and pointless. You only use, “they/them” when referring to a person that’s not even in the room with you. So people can “misgender” you and you’ll won’t even know it. That’s what makes pronouns so dumb.
10:00 ALL OF THIIIISSSSS, every single person is unique... We do not need labels... Just wear what you want, act how you want, cut your hair how you want. Just BE, stop labelling yourselves.
There's a difference between someone saying, "Hi, I'm Julie." And "Hi, I'm Julie, and I'm a woman." As if gender had become another name. But this is literally how trans people think we should be focused on. No, you are just you. Jeffree was 100% right. Back. To. Basics.
The irony is the fact that yes, the labels are their identity. Not their actual identity, they aren't being themselves because they are too busy trying to fit into a group where having the most labels makes you the most victimised and therefore the most listened to. Their not being their true selves because they are too focused on defining their selves to others standards, just do you who cares what your labels are.
True, we waste so much time around people and labels, which is a fool’s errand given how often people change, that we are not focusing on the real ills in this world.
They are trying to communicate with others about who they are, it really is that simple. Some of them get pretty creative with the language they use because it's a difficult thing to describe. How do you describe yourself? I think it's an interesting thing to have people try and explain. Many people try and describe themselves by talking about their hobbies or job, which doesn't really communicate much about who they are. I'm sure if we can't agree on much else, we can agree that when people give you a description of themselves with 10 different genders and sexualities, it gives you a pretty good idea of what kind of person they are. :')
I am so thankful that more people are speaking up about this. It’s just ridiculous. Be who you are and express yourself how you wish but at this point it’s being shoved down our throats and if we don’t accept it we are hateful when that’s not the case.
He’s pretty bougie. Pretty sure he couldn’t “afford” to be canceled. 😂. As for the rest of us, how does the quote go? All it takes for evil to flourish, is for good men to stand by and do nothing. Or maybe better, if you stand for nothing, you’ll fall for anything.

I'm a lesbian with some actual trans friends and I got so much hate calling out common sense. My trans friends got so much hate calling out common sense.
@@shinyy_mineyy To preface, I live in the greater Seattle area, so you can already imagine how fun that is with social stuff 🙄. I've never attended Pride and don't ever plan to with the current state of it. We were in class and for a project we had to cover a social issue. At the time marijuana was not legalized in WA nor was gay marriage legalized if all 50 states, this was early to mid 2010s... So many issues picked were legalizing pot, legalize gay marriage, and acceptance trans genders. The ones who picked legalize gay marriage and acceptance of trans genders were not were not even LGBP or trans as their social issues and fell back on the 'I'm representing my gay and/or trans friends'. While we had milestone group meetings to help with said projects (mandatory to chip in our two cents to help our classmates and their projects), those individuals kept harping doctors should respect the trans's pronouns and treat as such. But I and the actual trans classmates kept arguing how dangerous that was. If they (trans classmates) did not embrace that they would never be a man or a woman biologically and their doctors treated them as the opposite gender completely that could lead to medical complications. Things men are treated for are not the same as what women might be treated for and they worked really close with their doctors to remain healthy with the hormones and other medication they were taking. We also had this one classmate who was either at the beginning stages of transitioning or was claiming to be trans (after graduation we never followed up cause we personally didn't care for the person). I say it that way because they kind of appeared male with the short hair and how they dressed, but the voice and mannerism was very feminine. I'm biologically female, but constantly get mistaken for a male because of my mannerisms and I dress in stereotypically male clothing, but I'm not intentionally trying to come off male I'm just butch. So, when I met this classmate for the first time I addressed them with female pronouns thinking it's another girl like dressing in traditionally masculine clothing. Their friend had to tell me they were trans... For me if you're trans, you tell me I misgendered you. If you can't even tell me I don't believe you because it's your life and not your friend's so if you want 'to be a man', man up and tell me. The fact they had their friend tell me and didn't have a conversation with me about it made me and my actual trans friends believe they were doing it for attention and not because they were serious about transitioning. I had argued if you don't come off as the gender you're portraying then we shouldn't have to call you that pronoun. If you are trying to be FTM, if you don't display male mannerisms, you're not a man to me. And I've met feminine male, who you can tell 'yeah, they're biologically male', but this classmate was too feminine in how they carried themselves that it wasn't believable of them in an in progress FTM. Some of my trans friends are MTF and they respected the boundaries of women that they kept using the male facilities until they started appearing more feminine that they started using the female facilities, but they still respected the area. They change out of site as they still have the lower parts because of health reasons and know not all women would be comfortable changing with them out in the open. But we got hate by calling out these common sense notions of they are not 'they/them', they are 'he/him or she/her'. For this post I referred to my trans friends as 'they' because it is a mixture of male and female trans friends.
I used to speak with Jeffrey back in the MySpace days and he was very cool.. he has always had a creative look that has been his own and authentic and now he’s defending common sense .. we need more people like him .. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I lost a few friends over this. I tried calling them by specific pronouns but bc I was use to growing up knowing "he or she", i kept messing up and everytime i accidentally call them a "he" they would get offensive and only tell me"wow its easy for you to remember our names but not our pronouns". Im not against the pronouns, it did confused me true. All I wanted was to be friends with my.. well friends. They could be whatever they wanted to be, and I'll call them whatever how they want to be called but they didnt understood that I can miss-speak alot and that the pronouns were new to me at the time. I loved them and missed them and had a crush on one of them. Im a person that accepts people for who they are, and really thought I was a horrible friend. Maybe I was. Not against anything, just in the middle of watching the world argue eachother.
Noo you weren't being a bad friend. Don't blame yourself for it, this "pronoun" thing can get really confusing at times because some people just have the weirdest pronouns which they litterly keep changing every other day depending on their mood. I don't even know why people get so offensive over pronouns but they should have understood that you were new to this pronoun thing. But anyways, I hope you find good friends in the future ! 💖
Seriously, you don't want friends like this. Get better friends. Also, being a good friend is not just about being nice. Sometimes you need to call them out on their bullshit. If you truly love them, you would want them to be the best that they can be, rather than just accept them as who they are.
You aren’t the bad one. Your “friends” are bad. Why would a real friend get mad at you for accidentally getting their pronouns wrong if you’ve always known them as a boy or a girl?! It’s not your fault, it’s theirs.
Jeffree was always himself. He dressed and spoke and acted this way, long before it was acceptable to do so. Now that things have gone ridiculously far in the opposite direction, he still didn't change with the times, he has always been himself regardless of the world around him.
I used to think Jeffree Star was just cringe, seeing clips of him on youtube years ago. I didn't pay attention to any of the drama around him. Interesting to see he has based takes now though.
It really doesn’t matter if you’re in the community or not because blaire white and buck angel have been speaking out about transing kids and yet they’re still deemed transphobic despite being trans.
Just another example of people who have developed a saviour complex and feel the need to input on something they’ve literally never experienced as if they know better… same as the white saviours in black peoples comments.
It just seems so weird to tie your identity into a label and be so hyper focused on the label instead of just being yourself and doing the things that bring you joy.
I remember when Jeffree Star first rose in popularity, and always thought he was weird. Seeing how based and actually grounded this guy is, makes me think that, perhaps I judged too harshly. Also, 6:10 "You're only cancelled if you let yourself be cancelled". Time for a short story. I love this phrase. I made my own discord server away from the woke mind virus (yes, I am a furry, and I only bring it up because of how relatively infested the furry fandom has seemingly become with these wacked out ideals, and it's kind of pertinent to the situation). Well, one of my friends who joined me in there was scared at first, because while she agrees with these viewpoints for the most part, she's much more afraid of people from another server we're in harassing or cancelling her if they found out how she really feels about these ideologies, and this phrase is basically what I told her, and I sort of explained a bit about what it means (to me, at least), and how to sort of approach it if the owner/admins do find out, and talk about it with them. The one thing I made sure to emphasize though, was to never apologize for her views. She's become seemingly much more confident in actually remaining part of my server now, and has actually started talking about leaving the woke server because she's becoming more tired of that shit.
I’m in the same boat, but it’s more a game fandom rather than a community like the furry space is. Pretty much everyone on the main server is beyond woke, and the mods and admins are incompetent and treat the fellow mods like a friend group when they’re supposed to be in charge of 2000+ people. It’s a big server. So I and another person want to make our own server where people that don’t agree with the woke stuff actually have a chance. And it seems that the bigger the server and the more woke it is, the more chaotic things are (and the mods promote it, too). Hopefully our server stays chill. I just want a place where I can be apart of fandom and not get crucified upside down for having opinions that people will hate me for.
This is the most likes I’ve ever seen on any comment from someone mentioning they’re a furry on UA-cam lol. What’s your fursona? I never knew there could be a non-woke furry community. Can I join? I actually had a similar situation! I joined one furry Discord server and they constantly fought over hasty generalizations like “all Christians are bad” while some furries genuinely thought that some Christians were good and defended them. The server owner even said, “but I love Chick-fil-A” while his boyfriend scolded him. 😅 Unfortunately, he eventually closed the server because apparently people fought a lot. It’s too bad because I liked their emotes.
@@SantokiYama I have a fox as a fursona (yes, I'm basic like that, but honestly, it quite fits my personality of being shy, but I also like the juxtaposition like that sort of personality, with that I am both shy, but also quietly confident in myself and my beliefs). As for you wanting to join, the server is still very small and private right now (mainly just me and a few of my mature friends, since I'm keeping it private while I get stuff more setup, get more feedback, and set a hard baseline of maturity and rule-keeping levels). One of them even picked up on the reason of the server, asked me about it, and he and I had a lengthy discussion about our ideals. While he and I don't quite see eye-to-eye, he and I still understand and a chill with each other. That's the sort of person I'm looking for and server to build. So, maybe not quite Anti-Woke, but basically, no wokeness allowed. A server of mutual respect for others and their opinions as people. The closest I'd say to it being "anti-woke" is it basically denouncing those ideologies being shoved in everyone's face. If you're still interested, then I'd like to add you on Discord first, and we can talk a bit privately and in depth (mainly for me to get a feeling of you as a person), since it is still a small server being built.
I’ve literally been following jeffree since MySpace days. So like…almost 20 years now. I’m very conservative but I still love and admire a lot of people who’s lives differ from what I may believe is right/wrong. He’s grown exponentially through the years and honestly he’s just living anyone’s dream life. He’s not delusional like most of society and knows biologically what he is, and knows what he likes and lives true to that 🤷🏽♀️. He seems to genuinely love his ranch, he’s laid super low out of the internet drama the last few years, and seems to care about those around him. It’s a beautiful thing to just be confident in what the good Lord made you and do what you love without caring what everyone else thinks. If most of us could do that; the world would be a much better place.
Always loved Jeffree for breaking the mold like that. He really is truly and authentically himself regardless of what society tells him he should be and think.

It used to be about not being judged when you tell people you are gay etc. Its just who you date, not your personality etc. But now everyone makes their sexuality and gender their personality
Could not have said it any better
I had a period of time growing up when I dressed like a tomboy. I was doing it to avoid boys looking at me, which started to be a thing after puberty. I just wanted the boys to mind their own business. I wasn’t trans. There are many reasons for many actions, and jumping to conclusions about them is almost always a bad idea.
And most other girls who dress in a slightly more masculine way are genuinely interested in the kinds of physical activity for which such clothing is more comfortable or something like that, rather than any thoughts of wanting to be a boy whatsoever. It helps that male clothing is almost all accepted as "gender neutral"
I, meanwhile, was a boy who would get pink (men's) T-shirts and dress shirts and own as many pink accessories as I could from a combination of liking the color genuinely _and_ wanting to annoy people with a preconcieved notion that a single family of colors "belongs to" women and boys aren't allowed to have it at all. Same personality growing up today, I'd have focused more on guns and trucks and fitness to stand out instead - doubling down on all things traditionally manly.

Yesss! All my gay friends are very conservative. The LGBTQ+ community is very divided but the media doesn’t portray it that way.
@Emily Catherine I work in bars you would be amazed how much of the LGBT community are centrist or conservative and stay silent due to seeing the treatment that those that aren't as reserved or quiet about their opinions. They are more scared of their so called "Allies".
Hell yeah!
I found these types of lgbtq+ people with mature mindset rare.

Fluid-Masc = Man who can feel feminine, androgenuos, and masculine depending on dif. factors
Trans Male = Born with the other genitals; typically androgenous or masculine [from what I've seen]

I'm just baffled at how a simple choice of clothing and dressing sense signals to other people or parents that the child or their child could want a gender change. like dude relax, the clothes are just comfortable.
People giving them selves labels so they can feel oppressed. That is such a great line and so true.

People don't need labels to express themselves. They need more confidence in who they really are.
what really bothers me about this society is that were not allowed to learn and are automatically judged and expected to be labeled something as if we're not constly growing and learning.

FACTS
"I'm a dude, I love make up, I love fashion" that's all you need to know.
The "you can only be cancelled if you let yourself be cancelled" really only applies to people who can afford to be cancelled.

Can you share a story? If you want to that is
@@shinyy_mineyy To preface, I live in the greater Seattle area, so you can already imagine how fun that is with social stuff 🙄.
That is a ridiculous reason to lose friends over, I would recommend avoiding people like that and getting friends that have common sense.
Seriously, you don't want friends like this. Get better friends.
Also, being a good friend is not just about being nice. Sometimes you need to call them out on their bullshit. If you truly love them, you would want them to be the best that they can be, rather than just accept them as who they are.
Get some testosterone in your system or the world is gonna eat you alive.

Furry and whacked out ideals don’t exactly go together

@@lisbetsoda4874 She's a minority like every one of us in her videos, because the majority of ppl are not like us and all this change are only making us more crazier everyday.
I would love things to change but i think its impossible
Sadly this is me everyday. I'm so cynical and isolate myself from most.
South african watching American politics like it's a soapie 😂😂
Just watching the sh*t show? Hope you're having an entertaining time 😆
Ugh. It really is. It's so ridiculous.
It's been great 😂 when you're glancing through african eyes, this stuff is wild 😂
😅100%
One thing you can call Jeffree is down to earth. And I love his makeup totally wish I could afford it now. He really has great products unlike some crap influencers or celebs r coming out w these days.
not gonna lie I love when people speak truth and don't sugar coat things.
When I was a young kid, my friend group was so busy trying to find their label that they'd change it and you'd call them the wrong thing and you'd get all the backlash. It was exhausting as a kid. When I should've been worrying about my hobbies, interests and core memories I was worrying about what to call people.
When I was a kid we called everyone a bundle of sticks except the kids who were gay. Somehow, that makes more sense.
That's exhausting
Jesus how old are you lmao
@@vl2663 old enough I grew up with vhs tapes. 🤣
@@brooklyntrout5307 I thought you were like 10 lmao the way you talked about it made it seem like you grew up in the mid to late 2010’s when all this woke stuff started taking over
Honestly, it was crazy to be growing up in a private Christian school and for so many of my girlfriends to be into Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star. It was crazy, we were attached to all of these crazy people and I started watching a bunch of trans UA-camrs and Kpop videos…needless to say I infected a lot of the girls in my class with liberalism and obsession over these random Korean dudes (who are literally emasculated to the nth degree, encouraged to get facial surgery and makeup), who our twelve-year-old minds were sexualizing and writing dirty fanfictions about. It is insane how much social media has poisoned my generation and it’s crazy most parents are oblivious to this, or think it’s okay to let their kids have these devices and public social media accounts before they even reach their teen years.
girl u spoke my mind...i love kpop and all but my frnds are literally over-obsessed with em and i cant stand it...i mean if i try to say smthing abt it they literally gets mad at mee.....yes they write these frikin ffs and explain the story to the rest....I REALLY CANT STAND IT..i mean loveing kpop for songs, dance and ok some idols is fine.....BUT WTF IF JUST LIKING A PERSON BASED ON THEIR "LOOKS,,AND BEING OBSESSED with them sexually and mentally...iddk how to tell my frnds the truth......and if i tell abt the idols wearing makep...they say say"they are handsome without makeup/oh ur just a hater..." well anyways sorrry for the bad eng(i am typing this at 2 am with no lights on\)
@@milanmariageorge4205 lol it’s ok haha. Yeah, it’s very weird how literally children are finding this kpop stuff, being roped into a fandom of brain dead fangirls, and becoming impossibly obsessed with it, and a good portion of the fandom is young middle school or high school age kids, which is super weird considering how sexualized the members are, and how there are kpop groups literally dedicated to having underage children in them (I forget the name of the group but I remember one of my old friends telling me about a kpop group that consisted of either 12 or 14 year old kids. Gross. I can only imagine if the adults “training” them have sexually taken advantage of them.)
@Milan Maria George i was a HUGE K-pop fan up until a couple of months ago. the culture that surrounds it is absurd! the way the fans defend everything bad that happens is wild. like cookie by new jeans, whenever someone talked about how inappropriate it was, they were turned into the bad one for "having a dirty mind." And that's just one example! i still watch the fancams sometimes, but i had to leave the community.
@@flyinginthewind111 sooo truee! Also the double standard that some fans have also triggers mee
@@milanmariageorge4205 and the “fan wars” like, huh? Why do y’all want conflict? It’s a bunch of pretty people dancing to music, where is this stemming from lol
the issue is they mistaken gender identity as personality. like why do u want to reduce your whole existence to just your "gender"?
Can he please speak out to the teenagers ?! My three daughters think I am toxic, when I said years ago the same thoughts than he... To all the parents : be strong and best wishes from germany 💚
The thing is that half of these kids that identify this way are usually kids that weren’t put in the social world, that just grew with life in the phones and developed this insecurity and get lonely and try using something that makes them stand out because they don’t feel normal. I wish people would address this, it’s mentally sad.
I respect how Jeffery appreciates letting kids be kids and protecting them ❤. I admire this!
1:20 damn, you keep getting me off guard with those transitition
"You are only canceled if you let yourself be canceled" is true but it only apples to celebrities. Some ordinary person gets fired over something ridiculous doesn't really have a choice.
My wife just said to me: "I'm buying Jeffree Star makeup right now." As she browses his website 😂
My make up artist told me that his product have the best quality to price ratio.
When I was a kid I thought about wanting to be a girl many times, even thought of what my name would be if I was. I'm now turning 30 this year and I'm glad I'm the way I was when I was born, a male. I think it's because I like feminine things growing up and just associated it with being a girl, however I do know I am a man and male I enjoy both masculine and feminine things. I'm so glad that I am not a kid in this age because I probably would have been forced into transitioning before I hit puberty. I do agree with Jeffrey.
I love your podcast. I want to add that all of these labels can confuse someone who is inexperienced and lead them to wrong conclusions
I'm okay with you dressing or acting however you want, but you can't bend reality. It's refreshing to hear someone being realistic.
Same thing is happening with Rosanne Barr! They (the woke) tried to cancel her because "Certain People" didn't like what she said! and now she's coming back to call them out! LOVE IT!
Rosanne Barr is gross
@@MommaB74 Your entitled to your opinion, However I have to say I am not much of a fan anymore I used to be when she first started out.
I have thanked my parents for not demolishing my breast and disfiguring my vagina when I went through my tomboy stage as a child. My dad said, "you know how Grandma used to say they could leave doors unlocked and thought because now they can't the world was about to end? Imagine how she'd feel now"
