    Good job cutting backwards around your pond. Do you adjust the slip clutch on your cutter very often? Not sure which to buy; a shearbolt cutter or a slip clutch cutter. Im thinking the shearbolt would be less aggravation to deal with. Which do you reccomend? Thanks 11:13

      @HillsideAcres  Рік тому

      I’d go with slip clutch, don’t need to adjust it but after not using for a long period it is good to loosen it up and let it slip so that it does not end up seizing up

    Hi Richie! Now THAT was a days work for sure! Well done! Looks like you have a lot of forest ferns. We have them too but not as thick as you seem to. Thanks for sharing!

      Thanks for stopping by Martin! what state are you located in? The ferns seem to grow heavy in our back acreage.

    Hopefully, your 7060 will be fixed ASAP! that brush hog was kicking booty! I need to get out and do mine. I haven't had my tractor out in 3 weeks cause of all the rain in North Texas.

    At 1:33, it looked like you have a yellow rotary tiller in the background. What model is that, how do you like it and is it a reverse or forward till drive? Thank you for your time and pointing out the low oil issue on the 2501 (other video). I need to go check my own.

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  2 роки тому

      I think the yellow thing you see is the 8’ snow pusher, the tiller is orange, Howard brand dont know much about it I think 4 foot, out video #5 shows it being used.

    Do you like that treadle peddle on the Kubota? I ended up with a Kioti (They make the Bobcat tractor too) because of the dual peddles. Well, that was just one reason but I didn't know if I would like the treadle peddle that Kubotas have. That thing sure cuts good.

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  3 роки тому +1

      I did not like the treadle pedal at first. I love the hydraulic shuttle on my m series. Wanted to stay with kubota because our local dealer is great. But after some use the pedal isnt as bad as it was to begin with.

      @@HillsideAcres I figured it would ok once you get used to it. I wanted a Kubota at first but the dealer never called me when the tractor came in. I called a few times then went elsewhere. My brother just bought a skid steer from them lol.

    I have an M7060 with about 500 hours and it has been perfect. Really sounds like it is starving for fuel with filters lines or crud in tank to me, not injectors. I also have a L2501. I prefilter all my fuel before it goes in the tractors. Seems like I have read before about issues like yours and it was fuel in the tank and lines.

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  3 роки тому +2

      I have my own fuel supply with filter as well... The first time that the tractor was doing this, i did a full service of the fuel system. I went as far as even draining the tank, change fuel filter, clean water seperator, blow fuel lines with compressed air. and made no change. It would only start to lose power after about 30 minutes on the disc mower once the engine gets hot. That is exactly what had been stated in the recall bulletin from kubota that my serial number had fallen into.

    I hate your having problems with the 7060. How many’s hours are on it? That’s a good heavy duty bush hog, its what I really wanted but couldn’t justify the cost for no more then I’ll use it. I hope they help you out on some equipment to use. Have a great day!

      We needed a new brush hog, one from a box store would have been 1300ish rated for 1 inch and just made out of light sheet metal, this one was 2000 rated for 2.5 i think with 60hp gear box, slip clutch, 10g deck and internal frame i know it will last much longer. The M only has just over 300 hours, but i have been having issues while in standard pto under a load since i bought it. Dealer i bought it from had been no help over the last year it was giving me problems. I bought the L from a new dealer who has been much better to deal with and was able to tell me its an injector issue just by the serial number.

      I’m in the same boat, I’d like a BB60, only rough cut the road sides & a couple acres twice a year. Think I’ll rent a skid steer with cutter & really go to town, then just do a better job of staying on top of it. The SS would give me an opportunity to clean up some other areas a tractor can’t do - ditch banks & overhead.

    How do you like the hydro trans on the 2501 getting ready to get one and I am torn on manual or the hydro for my first 2501. I am leaning towards hydro just because it’s easier and I’ll be doing a lot of loader work maintaining my pistol range and training area

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  3 роки тому

      I would go hst on a 2501 hands down, especially for your application. We bought ours for barn chores, brush hogging, utility work. The manual in the l2501 isnt a dedicated shuttle and requires clutching to go between forward and reverse. Thanks for watching we have several more l2501 videos as well. feel free to go ahead with any questions

      Bush hog how is it pulling wise. I had 2 dealers tell me different things. One said use 4ft with hst and the other said 5ft would work. Like I said gonna be first tractor so sorry if ?s are a bit goofy.
      Package I am on the fence with is the l2501 4x4 with loader
      Bush hog
      Box Blade
      And later getting pallet forks and auger. These seem to be cheaper at a tractor supply. They a little pricey from kubota

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  3 роки тому

      @@dirtchevy41 4 foot would be way too small for the l2501. 60 inch is perfect in my opinion. The woods brush bull i use is heavier than what the 2501 would be considored rated for but it does a fine job never had any issues. A slip clutch is a good option to have on a brush hog as well. All the videos on my channel brush hogging are with the L2501 and woods brush bull 60.30

    • @HillsideAcres
      @HillsideAcres  2 роки тому

      Would depend on how much the forks weight, what you are lifting and how high you are lifting. The LA525 is designed to lift 1150lbs to full height but can lift more to lesser heights
