@@UteUncleBarryyyy only problem with a 5v5 or 6v6 mode for me is how overpowered 5 or 6 stack will be. Imagine defending a cashout with 10 seconds left and all of a sudden 4 dome shield get thrown on the cashout and 5 people are all body blocking their teammate. Currently I only play with my brother and in a 3v3 mode with only one random we can consistently carry just by sticking together and letting the random do what they want. But as soon as it’s bigger teams the randomness of teammates plays such a big part in ranking up/down.
@@cooperriuse2981Have 6v6 and keep it as two cashouts. In 3v3v3 there’s up to 9 people on one cashout. In 3v3v3v3 there’s also constantly third partying with 3 teams on one cashout, so I don’t think it would be a problem. Currently more often than not, having 1 bad teammate means your team will lose. Also wiping a whole team multiple times can still result in your team losing because of last second third partying. Two larger teams would for the most part solve both of these issues.
I think its ridiculous that new players are forced to play TA for 5 games before they can do anything fun. I would not havr 500 hours in this game if i had to play TA when i first played open beta
Absolutely. After everyone has been able to try it, I think most people are now understanding why content creators were so down on the mode. It’s just not balanced for the game’s sandbox at all and it never will be as long as cashout is the focus! We’re hoping that they put cashout back in ranked after the Twitch Rivals tournament on Tuesday, because the game needs it back desperately.
Facts. I didn’t even buy the s3 battle pass… kind of disappointed, I just bought r6… didn’t even want to, however If the game I love which is a fps, can’t keep its identity & doesn’t add guns in a shooter then ya I think, I would rather play & learn something else with a variety of guns… not trying to downplay embark, just wish the decisions were thought about better, changing ranked was not the play… should have multiple ranked modes… it should be an option to play either mode if they want terminal attack that bad… i honestly thought the game was perfect before, just needed more variety of guns/gadgets/specializations for different play styles instead of everyone using the same weapon or “op” weapons & new maps… that is all what was needed, not all these changes and melee weapons in a shooter… 😢

The turret nerf does suck although I got used to it I still prefer how it used to be, I think the SR84 is still better than the bow at long range and throwing knives is better at close range the bow seems to be in the middle, I did find good players with it but at the same time I've found a lot of terrible players with it so I'm in the middle of the fence, it's a fun weapon though. LH1 meta is really annoying.
The cl40 needed a nerf, it 2 shot lights (still does if direct impacted) and the bow is extremely high risk high reward . Light has been misdiagnosed with why it's op, and rn light is barely usable and you HAVE to run cloak nade and the new breach gadget. So please don't spout like you know what your saying

I play the finals with just my brother so we would always get a solo queue teammate ranked. With just us two we could carry and 3v2 most fights if our teammate was horrible. But in TA it is nearly impossible for me and my brother to 2v4 or 5 if 2 or 3 of our teammates are bad. Absolutely kills my passion to play ranked when sometimes there’s nothing I can do to win. If there was healing in ranked then it would be a different story, me and my brother could reset after each fight and actually have a chance at 2 v 5
Hear me out, I really don’t think it’s that big of a deal. At the end of the day, all of the modes are still in the game, they’re just in different places now. If you don’t like TA, then just don’t play ranked. Trust me, I promise you, your mind will be lifted once you quit stressing about the ranked grind. Just play world tour and play cashout, you’ll be fine without your precious rank. Most of the playerbase are casual players anyway

Even if you don't understand the core concept the foundation shooting and destroy it's quite simple. With TA it's even more incomprehensible since you have hundreds of possible lanes and paths to take. You can be well positioned and be wall banged by a heavy and die in a second without firing any shot.

At least to me, the biggest mistake they did was to give heavy that fucking hook. It's a insta death on lights (because RPG) and a pain to deal with as a medium, other heavy might stand a chance, but it's still annoying as fuck. Seriously! Who thought this was a good idea?

Yea I switched from rainbow six being my main game to the finals this year because of how refreshing and unique the gamemode was, now I feel like I should just go back to r6 cuz it’s simply better at the terminal attack type experience
I care. I only play ranked mode in every video game. And I'm assuming a of people care about ranked too. So when the main game mode is not in ranked it feels a bit off.

Rework concept: Healing beam: Heals a set amount instantly however has charges like evasive dash. Revive System: If the player dies from a headshot or explosion then no totem left behind and an enemy can get up to ally totem to get a prompt to destroy the totem.
Ehm... just bring back cashout as ranked and no need for reworks. I agree with the healing beam but you are gonna take damage and run off with your medium heal etc and its just gonna be a time waster. Second point is just not it.
@@KraFnO Yeah, Cash Out will probably return later in the season or after this season as the reason is to test changes to cash out with out changing metas. But in the meantime TA is the ranked mode so it would be nice if it gets balance changes while it is in ranked.

i managed to pull off a 1v5 round with mines set up in doorways and a turret on one terminal while all 4 of my teammates went to the OTHER terminal to defend, before they started realising i WAS SLAUGHTERING EVERYONE, and they were good players, as we went on to lose the next 4 rounds in a row 💀 but it shows that there is potential to solo carry if its absolutely perfect 235 hours playtime 10,500 Kills player from S1 btw

Terminal attack defenetly more fit for competetive rank gameplay. It is wise that they did these changes. The main reason why i dislike cashout mode as i rank mode coz it has alot of randomness.
Weird you'd think people who play RB6 or CS would have an issue with TA. Most people I know that aren't 'fans' of the finals but play a bit just want uncomplicated modes. Cashout is great for me but in ranked it's a kinda complicated meta layer for the average shooter player. I ended up playing quick cash with them more than anything. To be fair I still don't think I can make good calls on cashout and I've played a few hundred hours of the game.

I really wish it just had normal healing, heavy and medium are so bad once they get like half health or lower, they have no movement to compensate, so they turn into a free kill if they don’t have RPG. if you get snapped across the map by some loser with a sniper what do you even do you just stuck at half or almost no health for the entire round because the sniper saw you first. There’s so many scenarios like that that can happen and it’s just gonna turn into a light meta which I don’t want even as a light main

Balancing snipers is always hard in games because they have to try to make them viable without being too insanely overpowered. Honestly, if they can disable the healing beam and defibrillator in TA, I see no reason they can’t just also disable the sniper as well. That would be my solution instead of letting people have passive healing back

I love THE FINALS. One of the things I keep seeing is that the ranked gamemode needs some love. Here is my proposal for an overhauled Terminal Attack. Let's have a healthy discourse instead of just bashing something for not being EXACTLY perfect according to subjective experience. Bring back Tournament Style. I prefer this because of the increased variety in combat interactions. Each round played so differently because of the different teams present. It also highlights the dynamic gameplay that makes THE FINALS unique. Slightly increase passive health regen. Grant team wide revive tokens through eliminations. Keep TKO team eliminations and no self-respawn. This rewards playing tactically and allows skilled teams to recover from a bad push or being swept away in a chaotic 3rd party. The terminal key starts in the terminal, hear me out. At the start of a round, the terminal is neutral. A team claims the terminal to work on their decryption. Each team's decryption progress is independent. The win conditions of a round are either to complete the decryption, OR to eliminate all other teams. There is a third "Qualifying Condition" given to the team with the second highest score. A team's score is based in money like other modes. This score will passively increase while a team has an active decryption. They can also score points through eliminations. Instead of stopping a decryption, teams either steal the terminal and begin their own decryption, or enough damage is caused to the terminal itself that the decryption key is ejected and must be reinserted. Doing this causes the active decryption at the time to become corrupted and lose some progress.
They were thinking about the longevity of the game. So they put cashout out of ranked so they can work on the competitive future of the game. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk
One, removing cashout doesn’t enable them to make any change that they couldn’t already. Two, Terminal Attack is even LESS balanced and a WORSE experience than Cashout. Three, having a completely different ranked mode in a game for only one season makes no sense and if that really is the case it gives no reason to be invested in playing competitively in this season at all in the “counterfeit” ranked mode.
@@arcanum3882 Cash Out is getting changes and I think they didn't keep it in ranked to keep a more consistent meta across the season while seeing if TA is viable. The imbalance seems to be coming from the lack of good utility for medium and heavy being OP which I think that maybe Healing beam and Revive rework would be good in the game mode.

I think that TA is not perfect now but was fixed well. Two, TA is balanced in ways that cashout is not that's why they changed it, in cashout you can be the worst player on earth and still win if you now how to third party and steal at the last second, also with heals and defrib there is really no point in choosing light because you will get killed instantly by a heavy with rocket launcher, this mode change makes other guns like the revolver better because now you need guns that do more damage instead of guns that are more consistent in killing multiple enemies like the AKM or the Lewis. Three, they did this because it would be really annoying to get the old cashout in the start of the season and then mid season change it to they new version (also this was done to target a different audience and get them to try the game).

I disagree that medium is bad in this mode. It seems like nobody is playing heavy in TA because you're too slow. Dematerializer is pretty good as a solo queue ability, since it lets you enter the fight from anywhere, and close the wall behind you. This is really good for defusing the terminal. I'd like to see where the meta is towards the end or middle of the season, but I really don't think heavy will be popular. We'll see tho, what do i know. Also- I like your videos swamp. Even if you don't understand the core concept the foundation shooting and destroy it's quite simple. With TA it's even more incomprehensible since you have hundreds of possible lanes and paths to take. You can be well positioned and be wall banged by a heavy and die in a second without firing any shot.

Let me get the list!
If you get caught by the hook:
- Your vision gets blocked by the chains
- You can't shoot back until the animation ends, meanwhile you can still get shot at.
- Can't use any gadgets.
- Take 20 damage, which is basically a death Sentence if you're playing as a light (because let's face it, every heavy has an Rpg and they have no problems Shooting that thing at point blank range).
Now this is what the heavy can do with it:
- Steal deposit boxes without engaging the enemy team.
- Push you into either mines or a hole.
If you're going to answer me with "what about the mesh shield?" The hook goes straight through it.
honestly they shouldve stuck with bank it and cash out, and add more modes similar like a bf hardline mode hotwire (when they add vehicles if they do we seen it in the trailer)

How to bring utility for medium in TA:
Rework Healing beam and Revive system and bring them in. (Look in the replies for rework concept)
Rework concept:
Healing beam:
Heals a set amount instantly however has charges like evasive dash.
Revive System:
If the player dies from a headshot or explosion then no totem left behind and an enemy can get up to ally totem to get a prompt to destroy the totem.
Ehm... just bring back cashout as ranked and no need for reworks. I agree with the healing beam but you are gonna take damage and run off with your medium heal etc and its just gonna be a time waster. Second point is just not it.
@@KraFnO Yeah, Cash Out will probably return later in the season or after this season as the reason is to test changes to cash out with out changing metas. But in the meantime TA is the ranked mode so it would be nice if it gets balance changes while it is in ranked.

i managed to pull off a 1v5 round with mines set up in doorways and a turret on one terminal while all 4 of my teammates went to the OTHER terminal to defend, before they started realising i WAS SLAUGHTERING EVERYONE, and they were good players, as we went on to lose the next 4 rounds in a row 💀 but it shows that there is potential to solo carry if its absolutely perfect

Weird you'd think people who play RB6 or CS would have an issue with TA.
Most people I know that aren't 'fans' of the finals but play a bit just want uncomplicated modes. Cashout is great for me but in ranked it's a kinda complicated meta layer for the average shooter player. I ended up playing quick cash with them more than anything.
To be fair I still don't think I can make good calls on cashout and I've played a few hundred hours of the game.

I really wish it just had normal healing, heavy and medium are so bad once they get like half health or lower, they have no movement to compensate, so they turn into a free kill if they don’t have RPG. if you get snapped across the map by some loser with a sniper what do you even do you just stuck at half or almost no health for the entire round because the sniper saw you first. There’s so many scenarios like that that can happen and it’s just gonna turn into a light meta which I don’t want even as a light main

Balancing snipers is always hard in games because they have to try to make them viable without being too insanely overpowered. Honestly, if they can disable the healing beam and defibrillator in TA, I see no reason they can’t just also disable the sniper as well. That would be my solution instead of letting people have passive healing back

I love THE FINALS. One of the things I keep seeing is that the ranked gamemode needs some love. Here is my proposal for an overhauled Terminal Attack. Let's have a healthy discourse instead of just bashing something for not being EXACTLY perfect according to subjective experience.
Bring back Tournament Style. I prefer this because of the increased variety in combat interactions. Each round played so differently because of the different teams present. It also highlights the dynamic gameplay that makes THE FINALS unique.
Slightly increase passive health regen. Grant team wide revive tokens through eliminations. Keep TKO team eliminations and no self-respawn. This rewards playing tactically and allows skilled teams to recover from a bad push or being swept away in a chaotic 3rd party.
The terminal key starts in the terminal, hear me out. At the start of a round, the terminal is neutral. A team claims the terminal to work on their decryption. Each team's decryption progress is independent. The win conditions of a round are either to complete the decryption, OR to eliminate all other teams.
There is a third "Qualifying Condition" given to the team with the second highest score. A team's score is based in money like other modes. This score will passively increase while a team has an active decryption. They can also score points through eliminations.
Instead of stopping a decryption, teams either steal the terminal and begin their own decryption, or enough damage is caused to the terminal itself that the decryption key is ejected and must be reinserted. Doing this causes the active decryption at the time to become corrupted and lose some progress.

They were thinking about the longevity of the game. So they put cashout out of ranked so they can work on the competitive future of the game.

One, removing cashout doesn’t enable them to make any change that they couldn’t already. Two, Terminal Attack is even LESS balanced and a WORSE experience than Cashout. Three, having a completely different ranked mode in a game for only one season makes no sense and if that really is the case it gives no reason to be invested in playing competitively in this season at all in the “counterfeit” ranked mode.
@@arcanum3882 Cash Out is getting changes and I think they didn't keep it in ranked to keep a more consistent meta across the season while seeing if TA is viable. The imbalance seems to be coming from the lack of good utility for medium and heavy being OP which I think that maybe Healing beam and Revive rework would be good in the game mode.
@@arcanum3882 One, they removed cashout because they didn't want a mode that isn't good for ranked to stay a full season when they want to get more people playing the game. I think that TA is not perfect now but was fixed well. Two, TA is balanced in ways that cashout is not that's why they changed it, in cashout you can be the worst player on earth and still win if you now how to third party and steal at the last second, also with heals and defrib there is really no point in choosing light because you will get killed instantly by a heavy with rocket launcher, this mode change makes other guns like the revolver better because now you need guns that do more damage instead of guns that are more consistent in killing multiple enemies like the AKM or the Lewis. Three, they did this because it would be really annoying to get the old cashout in the start of the season and then mid season change it to they new version (also this was done to target a different audience and get them to try the game).

I disagree that medium is bad in this mode. It seems like nobody is playing heavy in TA because you're too slow. Dematerializer is pretty good as a solo queue ability, since it lets you enter the fight from anywhere, and close the wall behind you. This is really good for defusing the terminal. I'd like to see where the meta is towards the end or middle of the season, but I really don't think heavy will be popular. We'll see tho, what do i know.
