It is wrong for labour to base their calculations of the minimum wage on a household of six. In its stead, they should propose how much an hour should cost a worker based on the productivity level.
Therefore, let us assume that N1,000 should be paid per hour, that means 8hrs in a day, N8000 should be paid. In a regular month plus minus, we have 22 work days. This will give about N176,000 per month. Anything less than this is rubbish from the government.
