    Thank you for a clearly shot video that takes the viewer right through the Zoom Loom process, including how to finish the square without knots. Your video is quite thorough and easy to follow.

    Thank you for zipping through the weaving after showing and explaining what you were doing.
    This is very clear and concise.

      You’re welcome! It drives me nuts when tutorials don’t edit out the unnecessary parts.

    Omg, thank goddess that you made this, an actually visible instruction on the zoom loom. I love your choice of yarn, I too have umpteen skeins of variegated sock yarn that will be perfect for this. Love the color combo on this one.

      You're welcome! My goal is for you to see what I'm doing as best as I can possibly show it. I'm glad it helped.

    How awesome! After seeing your squares on Instagram, I looked up the method and found only low quality videos (although there was one that had some useful graphs). I really like how this comes out, but I didn't know you were using the yarn held double. Now I'd like to see how the different squares look in a grid and how much one of these looms costs... I may give myself an early Christmas present this year 😆

      Yay! I’m glad it helped to see it! I love how this yarn works up too- it’s my favorite of the ones I’ve used so far! I’ll try to take a layout shot when I get a few more done so you can get a good idea. And I think the loom is around $35-40 USD. It comes with the long needle, the loom, a short needle, some extra pegs, and an instructional booklet that was clear enough I was able to teach myself from it.

      @@OrchardHouseEditing I looked it up and it's a bit over 50 euros around where I live. I've been thinking about making one... Maybe I'll fail, maybe not, we'll see :D

    Very clear and helpful explanation and visuals. I would like to try a loom before buying...maybe there’s a local guild that has a loaner program (or I could start one-like a lending library)....?

    • @OrchardHouseEditing
      @OrchardHouseEditing  3 роки тому +2

      That’s a great thought! I know local guilds often are willing to loan out things like spinning wheels or looms- probably you’d have to check with whichever guild is local to you whether they have a loaner pin loom

    Thank you !!!! Can I use this same technique to do placemats?

    • @OrchardHouseEditing
      @OrchardHouseEditing  Рік тому

      You’re welcome! Yep, you could if you have a loom large enough or if you make enough squares and seam them into a placemat.

    What kind of yarn? Finger weight yarn, where did you find that gorgeous color?

    • @OrchardHouseEditing
      @OrchardHouseEditing  3 роки тому +2

      This is fingering weight held double, yes. And unfortunately I’m not sure what yarn this is- I received it in a yarn swap.

    I watched the how to vid from the company and she said you turn the loom.

      Nice! Good to know, thank you. I wasn’t able to find a video from the company when I started doing this, so that’s helpful to know.

    Lost the big needle, where can I buy a replacement?

    • @OrchardHouseEditing
      @OrchardHouseEditing  2 роки тому

      I'm sorry, that I don't know. I would try starting by searching "replacement needle for zoom loom" or "long tapestry needle" and see what you come up with.

    what do you make from these squares?

  • @SuperWhatagirl
    @SuperWhatagirl 3 роки тому +1

    Be careful with the needle. The first time I pulled it through I thought I gave myself a breast needle biopsy.
