Does anyone know how to clean the corks when they mildew? I made a few bird houses with cork and set them outside on my porch but over the summer they are turning dark with what looks like mildew.
I think that between your contribution to viticulture (Spanish wine, I trust) and Elena's to conservation you are both involved in an incredibly worthwhile project between you.
This is just superb, been searching for "simple bird houses plans" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Daniliana Birdfly Babar - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my buddy got excellent success with it.
love this idea and have many corks may only issue is that the video is much too fast to folllow and are there written illustrated instructions available??
If I counted correctly: Bottom: 5 x 4 = 20 corks Both rows of walls: 2 x 9 + 5 = 2 x 23 = 46 Both sides of the roof: 2 x 3 x 12 = 72 Frontside, backside & topline: 19 + 9 + 6 = 34 2 corks for repairing, total 174 corks.
A hot glue gun exudes heated glue, a silicone based glue I believe, which is supposed to be stronger and is certainly stickier. You can get them from Leroy Merlin on my side of Málaga near the Guadalhorce. Actually, what is being made looks more like an IED for birds being made with small dynamite sticks. Cheers, Andy
woo hoo, I just finished my bird house. It came out great. I used 167 corks. Your instructions were perfect, I could follow them easily. Thank you.
+MISSINGin BAJA Hello I'm very happy that my video help you with your project :-)

I'm starting to make this and while I think its very cool, is it stable? I'm thinking of lining the inside with balsa for a bit of support.
Je vais essayer de faire pareil ✌️
Nice! Lol I will have to tell my sister to save her corks (hehe!)
+Anne Anderson (Foxiepaws) I very happy that you like my bird house thank you for leaving a comment

How do you hang it up?
Hello the best could be a high test fishing wire
What are you using UNDER the corks while glueing? Is that a cutting board?
My wooden table but yes a cutting board will be a great idea thank you for watching my video
What kind of glue do I need to use?
about how many corks are needed?
Could this be waterproofed?
Hello Erika Yes I think with apoxy clear coating
I used clear nail varnish, in keeping with household items.
I love this idea, but hot glue doesn’t hold well in hot weather, too bad for me...
Hello Lanae yes you are right we need place little gorilla glue for warmer weather. Thank you for watching my video
I love the idea but looking at how sturdy it is, is there an easy way to clean it out yearly? There doesnt seem to be an access point to re-open it.
Hi how are you doing tell me why is a scooter heavy on petrol please help
Êtes vous sûr que la colle chaude tient dans le temps dehors. Et est ce bon pour les oiseaux ?
que je ne suis pas sûr de ne pas avoir testé le petit nichoir à oiseaux en extérieur

Sascha Milanovic or around $3500 in cheap wine.
Hot Glue Gun about 6 extra long sticks Ciao Linda
You will need 150 corks Thank you for asking :-)
I'm guessing the finished product is for indoor decor only? It doesn't seem stable enough to endure outside elements much less a bird family.
What is a "Hot glue gun?", what kind of shop sells them?

The transcript did not show any instruction.
No I'm sorry
hope that glue is bird safe
This time I'll use Woodprix instructions to make it easy with my own hands.
I made it with woodprix handbooks !
Were you very drunk after you finished?😀
Yes that was lot of grape juice ah ah ah
Hope so,
