🎥 𝗦𝗲𝗲 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 - Installation Video

The installation of a fender system is the moment where it comes alive. All the components which have been thoroughly designed and carefully manufactured during the months before, come together to be assembled at the berth, to finally start into their life of protecting vessels, port infrastructure and people.
𝟭 All anchors are embedded: in our video, you see the U Anchors for the chains first, followed by the anchors for the rubber fender. Anchors can either be installed as cast-in items during the concrete pour or post-installed by bonding them into drilled holes using a high-strength resin grout (resin anchors).
𝟮 The rubber unit is pre-assembled onto the steel panel using bolts and washer plates.
𝟯 The chains (weight chain, tension chain and shear chain) are attached to the steel panel.
𝟰 The steel panel, together with the rubber unit and all chains is lifted and positioned, so that the bolt holes between fender and substructure are aligned and can finally be assembled.
𝟱 Finally and before releasing the crane support, the fixings should be tightened equally until all chains are connected, tight and tensioners are properly adjusted.
