When I was making the Chernobyl video, I played around with the idea of making a video for Strangelove, seeing as it has some similar themes and connections to Oppenheimer (both revolving around the consequences of the atomic bomb). Eventually the idea returned to me and I knew I had to put it together. I loved the idea of how “grand in feel” the original oppenheimer trailer is, and it’d suit Strangelove to have that, because it’s ultimately a farce. As such, this video is a companion piece to my Chernobyl video.
I also just really wanted to do a black and white video. I saw Strangelove in college several years ago, really liked it, I really enjoy that kind of bleak humor. It's also led me to watching more Stanley Kubrick films which is a definite plus.
Anyways, yeah I realize this video isn’t going to bring in the views. It’s an old movie from the sixties, but I’ve made peace with that. I do these videos for me, if you like it too than that’s also great.

Love your editing! Fantastic version of an alternative universe. Just made me think about the main diferences between Kubrick an Nolan... Nolan could have done something similar to 2001... but Dr Strangelove, only Kubrick could have come up with that.

Much better than the noisy and disjointed original tralier, this entices the audience to go revisit, so many hooks that viewers will get caught on. I had never noticed, after seeing 10-15 times, that Mandrake puzzled and worried swing of the head. Classic. Oh well... cheerio. And stop worrying everyone. 💣💣💣
