Someone donated four fairy lights at our local thrift store..i could only find the base of one of them and then remembered you said to look around for the other parts...then yay i found it three feet away..got it for 5 dollars..thanks for great advice!
Because of you, I feel no shame empty handed and only bring with me selective items. CLL rings in my ear "Just because it's vintage does not mean it is good for resale." Love you girl keep doing what you do.
I once went to an estate sale specifically to buy Vintage Barbie (V.B.) As soon as I got to some of it, a younger lady laid claim to all the barbie stuff, swinging her arms around, making a scene. To add salt to the wound, other customers who had heard her were giving her all the found V.B. I was so disappointed. It was actually torturous b/c the stuff was very valuable and in pristine condition. I decided to stick around and offered to watch her pile while she continued shopping. I did not stalk her or harass her like the Pyrex Lady, LOL! I played it cool. My strategy paid off though because when she ran out of money, I was right there and able to buy everything she couldn't. I ended up making a day's wage from sales. But I vowed never to shop V.B. at an estate sale again. Too stressful!
My mother has a set of those barrell mugs. There were four different colors. The green one is missing. Made many a float in them. Wish I still had them. Lots of memories. Glad you got them. You did good shopping.
GMA KATHY HERE. YTODAY AT MIDNIGHT MY MOMMA PASSED AWAY. SHE WOULD SEE ME WATCHING YALL. MY PRECIOUS UA-cam FAMILY. I HAVE TO MOVE SO SCARED. GOD IS PRESENT SO I WONT GIVE IN. ANXIETY IS A HARD THING. TY FOR BEING MY NERVE RELIEF. I LOVE YALL
I have over 100 fairy lights in my collection, and I can tell you that the bottom to that particular fairy light is easy to find. Also, you can usually find that bottom being sold on ebay for only a few dollars. Good that you picked that top up because it's a little more valuable than many other Fenton tops!😉
Hi. First time buying off EBay. Bought a Fenton Fairy light. How can I check if correct bottom for it? Seller doesn’t know. Also if I got a good price. I live in SA
A week or 2 ago you brought some Bormiolo drinking glasses and I found a set of 6 at the flea market and purchased them because of your video I knew that they were special and had value, so thank you. I always learn something new from you.
You got a super deal on the Pyrex. Went to a goodwill in Elkhart Indiana today and they had a gooseberry pink large Cinderella mixing bowl in very nice condition priced at $49.99! That's what they sell for on eBay. LOTS of other items extremely overpriced at this location as well. Left with one item. No way this is non profit anymore!
10:35. Those rabbits were all the rage in the 80s. Imagine it with slate blue wallpaper (with hearts) in a bathroom. Many dads made them and sold at craft shows.
Pretty sure the base was next to the red pieces you picked up - the base to this is clear and has a diamond opic kind of cut/look on it. I have one for sale right now.
I had a woman creeping on me in a thrift store. I had a large turquoise Amish print Cinderella bowl in my cart. She was following all over the store right on heels. Now I bring reusable shopping bags with me and put items in the bags in my cart.
@@kirstenrissling879 I "think" the bunny may be a "seasonal greetings" type of decor item - I have an old (1980's?) hobbyist teddy bear with hinged arms - there was an assortment of seasonal extra items to place under his arms, propped up by his feet - a wooden Christmas tree saying "Merry Christmas", a wooden pumpkin saying "Boo!" on one side and "Happy Thanksgiving" on the other, a red wooden heart, a purple flower, etc. I can share a photo if you like. Your bunny is bigger and fancier than my teddy bear though.
Started watching you on Relic Recoverist years ago. I like this forum more. I prefer Goodwill over DG, Big Lots, Dollar Tree, or even Walmart for most items. I’m a collector, not a reseller. Vinyl records, Hot Wheels, Levi’s (for wearing). Now I’m starting to browse the glassware and decor (your fault). Great real life series you have, no fakery or sensationalism. Keep it coming!
I absolutely love your show it is very interesting to watch you and listen to you're very smart young lady I certainly have pick up a lot from you. They say an old dog can't learn new ideas but I improving and I am 76 I am going to subscribe have a great night or day.
Enjoy your videos. Inspiring me to be more adventurous. Instead of just using my clear glass vases I bought online a vintage vase hand crafted in Zimbabwe. Wish I could post. Pic here. Thanks for all the tips.
The bottom to that red fairy light was right there in the clear glass off to the left. You went right past it.😱 I tried to send you a close-up the bottom to that very light but I don't see where I can send it.
I have 4 of those Pyrex bowls, 2 green ( small and medium) and 2 (1 large and 1 small) white with the green design. I love them and I use them, they were my mother in laws! No chips and never in a dishwasher.
I keep telling myself it is time it is time to say good bye to so much of what i have collected but i just do not know the best way to do it so i get good money. I always look for your youtube to see what you find. Thanks
Before I knew what fairy lights were, I had the top part of an amber owl one. I got rid of it because I didn't know what it was until I watched your videos 🤦🏼♀️
I actually have that candle lights candle. I purchased it in 1989. I too couldn’t figure out it’s composition. Bought it when I was with my mom one Christmas and can’t seem to let it go.
I tell everyone never put the pyrex in the dishwasher. My daughter has one the I left behind at her home during a bbq. I told her it's pristine and it better come back to me that way too. I've had those crazy stalkers at the second hand stores. Especially when I found a beautiful Fenton hobnail swung vase in amber. This woman asked me if I really wanted it. I told no her "no I just feel like giving it a ride around the store " 🙄😒😏
I just stopped watching another creators video because the panning of shelves was so fast...felt frantic. So thank you for your calm manner of filming. It is relaxing...and your voice is so peaceful.
Oh no! You missed an Anchor Hocking 30s- 40s clear glass salad bowl ( upper right at 7:00) In the Manhattan pattern worth $80- $100! Ive loved this pattern for so long..I almost never come across it!
My mom oohed and ahhhed over the house cookie jar. I’m super jealous over the Pyrex. I want some for the kitchen but antique stores around here asking so much.
My life is a scavenger hunt sometimes also. I am sitting on a Ruby Mary Gregory Faerie light top just waiting to run across the base. The thrill is in the hunt! LOL!
I'm happy for you that you found the Pyrex, and in such good condition, and I'm sure someone will love to buy it ....but I just don't get why it has become so collectable - or at least so collectable that someone followed you around the store 🙂.
Blame it on people lik Martha Stewart, who featured it in her magazine a few years ago, and on other magazines that focus on vintage stuff. Every time a new article about Pyrex comes out, it gets more collectible and more pricey! I also see it on cooking shows sometimes, and even in movies and regular TV shows. I collect it because I love it, but it's gotten really hard to find at reasonable prices. $8.49 was a great price, especially for the bigger one with the square flowers.

It became pricey because people don't want the lead paint from ch1na in their food. People want to cook with it in their oven and it has the pouring spouts. I bought it at auctions starting in 2013.
Guess it's a good thing we all have different tastes 😁 At the start of your video (1:46) it looks like a Lenox swan. Lenox is usually highly collectible but even if it's a regional thing, it should resell on other sites. I collect ruby glass & thought the piece you picked up was beautiful.
I’m new at reselling but every piece of Lenox I’ve listed on eBay has sold. I even sold two Christmas pieces after Christmas. I’ll continue to buy it because I love the creamy Lenox color.
