It was way back, now physical assault is a punishable crime in schools or colleges. Teachers are not allowed to slap or hit children using anything like rular, books, etc. But still some places don't follow the rules and teachers may hit children and they don't complain out of fear.
And people are also not aware about laws and regulations, so they also not complain.

Attending Durga pujo at West Bengal is a great thing for devotees of Durga Maa but for them as a tourist it will become so hectic. Walking through the crowd for 30 minutes and just a 2 minute view. So much Hustle and Bustle. They will be exhausted asf! They should visit some peaceful and comfortable places.

Welcome to India guys. But don't try any street food without giving a second thought. I saw many tourist or Bloggers try worst street side food for fun or challenge then got terribly sick. Some Indian foods are really hard to digest.
It's not just that but normal bacteria that is found in all food differs from each region. When I lived in India for many years the day I moved back to US I got very sick after eating because my body wasn't used to that food bacteria any more. I already told Miguel to prepare for a little discomfort the first day or so after being there. Since I go back so regularly I usually don't get sick any more. (Street food is something you have to work up to and if I'm only there for a couple weeks it's not enough time to get to that point) So yes, you are absolutely right,
@@ChaatNChat I think you can manage Indian street foods. And I'm not trying to defame the street vendors. Like what would I even achieve criticising them for no reason.. but the problem is they would try to get as many tourist as their customer as possible and they do go crazy sometimes when they see foreigners. So take remedies with you for your companions. I don't want you guys to have a hard time here for some silly reasons. And I'm sure you'll love this country and it's people.
