Being a 78,child 80s was my era , loved it , no health safety , go to the park and slides were 50ft high and you went down like it felt 60mph , great films , great music ,
At 45, I've found a new hero. James Buckley.. Legend. Whistles, hums and sings until your Mrs has to pause what she;s watching, whilst all the while sniggering to yourself. This makes up at least an hour of my day!!! Was (obviously) an Inbetweeners fan, but only stumbled on this last week with the Dyers. All over this from now on. What a show 🙌
Loved this podcast! 😁 I absolutely love reminiscing about growing up in the 90s, you're right it was such a carefree time. Or, atleast it felt that way. Everything feels so serious and heavy these days. I often think about how hard things must be for kids growing up now! They have it way harder for sure. Loving the podcast guys ❤
My son was born in 1987 and everything you have covered here reminds me and, him, of his childhood 100%. We downsized a few years ago and sold all his toy/consoles that we had stored in the loft. Such a surprise to us both how much it was worth - quids in for sure!
That spaceman song lives rent free in my head. I remembered seeing it on top of the pops and vividly remembered the silver outfit. Looked it up recently on UA-cam funnily enough, to see if it was how I remembered. It was! Memories!
Just recently stumbled across the lovely Buckleys content and I’m loving it, love you guys, can’t believe James never mentioned the hurricanes, fun house, art attack, stars in their eyes, you bet, strike it lucky. forever watching you logs in the daily and these podcasts are gold.
Found you both recently and at home with the Buckley's, hubby don't watch UA-cam but he actually liked you😂you're both so funny and as a dog mum we love paisley, hubby's favourite dog breed, after our blue staffy obviously 😊❤
Hi guys, love the podcasts,I’m 42 and as a kid in the 80,s/90’s I loved watching you bet with Matthew Kelly, and before that was kick start, the kids on the trials motorbikes 😎good times, miss the good old days, keep up the great content guys, Matt
This was a great episode! Totally agree about the 90s, it was an absolutely epic decade and it's all been going down the toilet since. Also agreed about that story at the end, I was getting furious on behalf of the woman, people who disrespect other people's relationships like that (women or men) are the worst.
Keen as a badger for a 90s bonus episode! I started watching yous off At Home with the Buckleys - however, started watching yous there from Completed It Mate (James, howay - bring that back son). Would bloody LOVE a 90s/00s PS1/2 throwback episode man!
Guys best one yet I loved James chatting about the 90s. Zappp was probably one of my favourites citv they don't make them like they used too. Anyway lov the podcast love athwtb think you two are great. Keep doing what your doing
I was born in 1991 and the kids shows then were amazing. But also watching things like Bottom, Red Dwarf and films like The Terminator even though I was to young to understand them. Brilliant podcast as always ❤
It was summer 95’. I got a Mr Blobby balloon from the local shopping centre (shoutout to Greenock) and 10 year old me proudly took it oot to play as soon as I got back home. Some boys asked me for a shot of it and being the kid that wanted to be liked, I proudly handed over my amazing Mr Blobby balloon. The boy booted it into the air and all I could do was watch it float away, those dead eyes staring back down at me 😭 still ragin about it! Kids were terrible back then but we definitely had it easier than kids today. Loving the podcast! X
Growing up in the 90s was such an era where we had the start of brilliant gaming action films seems to be released every month so many iconic tv shows. Plus we all knew a guy who can hack PlayStation one and sold pirate games. We need a special born in the 80s growing up in 90s.
Beauty and the Beast is my wives favourite Disney film, she literally said the other day - He’s better looking as the Beast! That’s probably why they’ve both ended up with bearded husbands 😅
When you google a supermarket opening time they only give you their usual opening times. If it’s weekend/ bank holiday hours it will state hours may differ but won’t specify the actual times. Some businesses also wont specify if they are still in business or have permanently closed
i love this so much and i totally get them. i live in scotland fife ,but lived down south till i was 21 and i see all the wee things that bug clair are differences between scots n english coz al my relationships have had the same squabbles NOT arguments just funny anoying or silly moments!! x
I was born 92 but I loveddddd come outside, mr blobby and tiny tots telly was so good my sons 8 and is playing fifa on ps5 they just wont live like us!
28 this year watched all these kids programmes and we didn’t get internet int he house until I was around 13! I don’t remember seeing people with lots of smartphones like iPhones till around 2012.
The 90s were a good time! Too many shows to list, but a few damn good ones include Scratchy & Co, Gimme-5, Beadle's About, You Bet, Sooty & Co, Zzzap (the show with Cuthbert Lilly, not James Buckley), Finders Keepers, Art Attack, How2, WOOF, Bernard's Watch (the first of several different versions) Speaking of You-Bet, Matthew Kelly's going to be on the telly in the next few months in something called "Inside No 9".
Claire in 1996 I bought those tracky bottoms from JD sports. £50 I earned £80 every two weeks cleaning fridges when still at school. I loved them, and then this new band turned up weeks later with a girl doing kerate kicks that basically made me stop wearing them. Just to let you know, as an Aberdonion, you'll get how hard it is to waste money for us 😅. P.s. If it was now and I bought them and saw you wearing them, I'd be chuffed, not embarrassed.
Love your shows both ISAIH And AHWTB it gives me lots of comfort when im abit home sick even tho i lived abroad for 11 years oh and im in Malta which u brought up in a vlog hope you do come here its a beautiful place plus i cud come have a drink with ya 😉 sorry for the rambling keep it up love all the vids
Growing up in the 80's playing football, Nike cagoule's, Youth Club and disco's, break-dancing, skateboarding, discovering fingering and then the 90's going out with the lads having it trying to pull birds, listening to brilliant music, Tudor Tunes, video-shop, getting run over, Euro 96', the Sopranos......... and now we're in the mist of a massive 10 year lull of ridiculous disturbing societal nonsense. YNWA!! ✌
I moved from kilwinning to folkstone in the early 90s.......i went from joe deacon raving in the metro......to buster blood vessel live in la prisienne in folkstone.......and nobody in kent understood ma ayrshire accent
I bet you can remember what music, and how many you dropped, though 😂😂😂 Best years of my life back then, and I still made school on Monday! 94 onwards, I was in Circus Circus, Kellys/Lush, Exit 15, Armagh Arena, Killwater House. Born in 81 😂😂 I didn't touch a drop of alcohol until most of those places were closed 😉😉
My unconventional crush was definitely Wednesday Adams off the adams family. The first crush was definitely amy Jo Johnson, the pink power ranger, lol. Loved this episode. I'm 35 this year but had older and younger siblings, so associated with all of it 😊. Honourable mentions to pokemon and the tribe which was amazing 👏
Its mad that we organised our whole lives without mobile phones.... Just used to leave the house, knock on mates doors & see if anyone was in! 😂 Having to do that would freak my teenage kids out now!
I was born in 1991 and I miss the 90s and early 2000 life was better and happier I'm glad I'm not growing up this generation. Life isn't the same anymore, and uk isn't a nice place either
Why do I feel like when your both get home and the door shuts Clair turns into Ben Kingsley from sexy beast when he flips out plus my m8 had his bike taken by Craig Charles to get to the pub back in the 90s he left it outside an gave us a few quid for lending him it hahaha
Being a 78,child 80s was my era , loved it , no health safety , go to the park and slides were 50ft high and you went down like it felt 60mph , great films , great music ,

I was born in '79 so I missed it 😂😂

At 45, I've found a new hero. James Buckley.. Legend. Whistles, hums and sings until your Mrs has to pause what she;s watching, whilst all the while sniggering to yourself. This makes up at least an hour of my day!!!
Was (obviously) an Inbetweeners fan, but only stumbled on this last week with the Dyers. All over this from now on. What a show 🙌

Beauty and the Beast!! When my wife was younger she used to cry when the beast turned into the prince, because she liked the beast!
I miss the old days !! I remember playing outside playing football and man hunt and all different games
This once again was absolutely brilliant to watch !!! So many memories
Loved this podcast! 😁 I absolutely love reminiscing about growing up in the 90s, you're right it was such a carefree time. Or, atleast it felt that way. Also agreed about that story at the end, I was getting furious on behalf of the woman, people who disrespect other people's relationships like that (women or men) are the worst.
