We have a real Blanik in Boulder, Colorado. It was involved in a airplane fatality. An aircraft was flying through the area where gliders were being towed. The pilot was not familiar with the area. He hit the tow rope and crashed. The Blanik landed safely with the flight instructor and two passengers.
Nice plane guy , wonderfull place for slope soaring, but wich is the heigth on that hills ??, seems very low , your have an incredible weather condition . Regards from Cordoba (Argentina)

It comes from an updraft from the slope plus warm air thermals which gives us lift which turns into fast forward flight.
