With previous generations, the XL ride was considerably better than the shorter wheelbase. I can’t wait to try the independent suspension on this new gen!
Pro tip from a car guy dad: buy the UppaBaby travel bags for the MESA and your stroller. When we were able to travel pre-COVID, the airlines would mangle our bags so badly that I'm still not convinced the baggage handlers didn't chuck them through the turbines, before throwing them in the fuselage. UppaBaby was amazing to deal with! Every time it happened, I sent pics, then within a few days, I had replacement bags and, on one occasion, a replacement MESA. Of course, the airlines were awful and getting reimbursement from them was like getting a Brodozer to move out of an EV spot. Congrats on your baby, Yuri!

I might be mistaken because it has been a few months since I drove a new Cadillac/GM car, but if I remember correctly: You can hold any icon on the infotainment system so you can drag it to wherever page/slot you want. Therefore, you can place the Camera icon on the first page for quick access.
Easier way to tell the difference between yukon and yukon XL is looking at the rear doors, if the wheel is cut out in the door then it's a regular Yukon/Tahoe
True. An easy way to tell if a truck is a long bed vs. standard is to look at the distance between the rear wheel well and the start of the bed at the cab.
When they filmed from the back I was totally suprised to see they only lowered the third row. I was expecting to see the front seats. This thing is huge!

Baby seat test is a good addition for family oriented cars. One thing I noticed is that, while the seat didn't hit the TV, if a big person got in front passenger seat, and backed it up or reclined, they might crush the screen into the carseat (and that does happen). I guess you would just have to be super careful about it
Solidarity with brother Yuri on this one. Also, that car sear base is SO much better than the ones from 15 years ago...not having to work the tightening clip thingy manually, having longer anchor attachments to the seat anchor...man my fingers hurt just thinking about it.
Yuri has a totally valid point with the coffee cup. You may think this is a small point, but when you're constantly grabbing your coffee and have to shift your hand position ALL the time it get so tiring. You may even use the other hand to help reposition - and now look - no hands on the wheel.
No snow in Arizona... I imagine there are some people in Flagstaff, AZ who wish that were true. Then again, maybe snowy weather is why some people like to live there.
honestly I would definitely recommend the new escalade if it's in your price range to import it, that v8 in there can take over 1000hp with twin turbos

Commutes to work, alone. Never sees a dirt road. Never tows. Never has cargo beyond luggage and groceries. Seems logical.
@Glasspack40 actually, yes. Driving a fast car slow is pretty pointless. It's actually more fun to drive a slow car fast. If it gets close to 30mpg, that's actually quite good...except that's on more expensive diesel fuel, negating the fuel economy advantage.

I live in Arizona (the southern desert) and blowing dirt is a way of life. So I don't mind the less than pristine clean car. Actually gives it character.
Try your car seat behind a tall driver....you will be amazed how many 3 row SUV can't fit a rear facing car seat behind a 6ft+ driver, especially once you move past the infant seat you tested.
We have an 08 yukon xl. Such a great family car and no need for a truck!! Have put a full washer and dryer together in it as well as 10ft boards! Also great in the snow

You can move the camera button to the home screen! Just do a long hold on any icon and you can move to a different screen.

Try your car seat behind a tall driver....you will be amazed how many 3 row SUV can't fit a rear facing car seat behind a 6ft+ driver, especially once you move past the infant seat you tested.

We have an 08 yukon xl. Such a great family car and no need for a truck!! Have put a full washer and dryer together in it as well as 10ft boards! Also great in the snow
