Hello, i'm not the type of person that uses to comment too often and i've never thought of commenting something here tbh but just wanted to share this moment. I'm hearing this while it's raining, after having food with my grandparents and hearing my brother watching those old cartoons i used to watch. I don't really know how to explain this feeling, but the music does perfectly, that's for sure... ¿Nostalgia, maybe? I don't know. Just knowing that this will just fade out some day, some day i won't be able to have food with my granparents again, some day i won't be able to not worry that much, knowing it's getting closer and closer, knowing the rain will be the only one who will not fade of them. The actual world scares me a lot, and i'm not sure what i'm going to do, but i'm trying to stop looking at the past, and stop worrying for the future, just trying to be here in the present, enjoying all this moments... Enjoying my parents and grandparents, enjoying to hear my little brother watching these old cartoons, enjoying my pets, enjoying the food, enjoying my actual life. I've been a huge fan of William's work for some time, and this one really hits...you did such a great job. (Btw, this + Cascade from William Basinski aswell, is magical)
you just described the deep feeling of reality with very concrete elements, so amazing and nostalgic all at once, such a beautiful experience to be alive
@@liamnewsom8583 Well basically I got pretty depressed one night and was listening to the original piece and thought to myself "this doesn't really have the sound that I'm looking for" and I decided to try and fit it to what I was feeling. The DAW I used was reaper, I employed several different freely available reverb and HP/LP plugins to create the kind of ambiance I was hoping to achieve. I didn't quite hit the mark but I loved the results and wanted other people to hear it, I hope this helps.
This is really an improvement on an original masterpiece that may be my favorite peice of music of all time. Thank you so much for dedicating yourself to the source material and executing this perfectly.
