- Kea Farm, at an altitude of 1610 meters (5282 feet) above sea level, is the highest located village in the Cameron Highlands and also peninsular Malaysia, and it is one of the most famous tourist spots in Cameron Highlands. Plenty of stalls selling fresh vegetables, flowers, butterfly farms and self-plucking strawberry farms can be found here. From Kea Farm, there is also the access road to the Sungai Palas Tea Estate and the highest mountain in Cameron Highlands, Gunung Brinchang (2031 m.). Kea Farm is an agricultural district in Cameron Highlands, located 3km north of Brinchang town or 3km before Tringkap. Its central feature is a farmers' market along the main road at its summit, adjaent to Copthorne Hotel. Open daily, traders set up retail stalls from morning till evening - a great place to seize bargains on fresh crops including strawberries, corn, greens and fruits. (Source: www.cameronhig...)
Other local products available at the market include fashion apparel, souvenirs, ornamental plants, packaged food and flowers. Beyond the market, the surroundings give way to farms and residential homes draped across the valley. Some tourist attractions within the vicinity include Rose Center, Ee Feng Gu, Butterfly Garden and Boh Tea (Sungai Palas).
The Cameron Highlands (Malay: Tanah Tinggi Cameron, Chinese: 金馬崙高原, Tamil: கேமரன் மலை) is a district in Pahang, Malaysia, occupying an area of 712.18 square kilometres (274.97 sq mi). To the north, its boundary touches that of Kelantan; to the west, it shares part of its border with Perak. Situated at the northwestern tip of Pahang, Cameron Highlands is approximately 90 kilometres (56 mi) from Ipoh, roughly 200 kilometres (120 mi) from Kuala Lumpur or about 355 kilometres (221 mi) from Kuantan, the capital of Pahang. The Cameron Highlands is one of Malaysia's most extensive hill stations. It covers an area of 712km², about the size of Singapore, At an elevation from 1135m to 1829m above sea level, it is also the highest point in Malaysia accessible by road with Gunung Brinchang 2031m above the sea. During the day, the temperature seldom rises above 25°C; at night, it can drop to as low as 11°C.
