@@sea_of_love pretty sure beomgyu said he wrote this song way back in their trainee days, so the song is written by him, and the other members probably chipped in to add or change some things but the main thing was written by beomgyu

This line made me think of the times when they were still training to achieve what they are right now, the times when they feel so down or missed their families and the the mirror of their dance studio or practice room witnessed it all. It's so heart breaking. It's just me thinking that situation what more to them that experienced it. :(

so basically this song is about beomgyu who joined bighit later than the others and he felt lots of pressure to do well. so while he was practising dancing and singing in front of a mirror, he started to see somebody else instead of his own reflection.. it didn't seem like 'him' that he used to know and he felt like he was trapped in a maze. that's how he started to write this song~
beomgyu's voice is beautiful. the lyrics are so poetic as well...

whenever i listen this song, it gives me goosebumps. theres always times that makes us feel alone or lost and they can't fade away fast, in these times, this songs helps a lot.
i'm struggling with that 'times' so much about 2 years and i can't explain my feelings and thoughts. Never. Because there is no one who actually listens to me and actually i am not brave enough to talk too. I can only listen songs which makes me feel a little bit calm. When they dropped the album, i know that maze in the mirror has the lyrics which describes my thoughts and feelings. I'm lost in my maze and i don't know what can i do, but whenever i listen this song, i feel like i'm not alone, someones with me and it's pretty good for me, i'm so grateful to them for everything.
I just wanted to say I feel the same way so you're definitely not alone, and I'm sure a lot of people also feel this way, but I'm really thankful to musics like this one, because it just makes me feel understood.

Maze in mirror is close to my heart for so many reasons, the first is obviously that our boys were so involved in making this song, beomgyu was one of the producers and all of them contributed in writing the lyrics, I feel like a proud mama bear while listening to it💙 the second reason is that I have struggles with image issues many times, and when I listen to the song and read it's lyrics that's how I interpret the song, I very well know the feeling when you stand in front of a mirror and feel completely insignificant outright horrible about yourself. I hope they keep making beautiful songs like these❤️❤️❤️

this has to be my favourite song from txt, the meaning behind it, the vocals, the lyrics, the backtrack, HIDDEN VOCALS. i’ve never felt for a song the way i do with this one. it’s truely a work of art and beomgyu really outdid himself by writing this. it shows how good he is as a musician and how much he can express himself throughout his lyrics and how hes feeling
