For those asking about a bathroom... Running water to the homes came to many areas of Italy in the late 60's early 70's. Before then, a horse and cart would pick up the 'stuff' from people's homes and water was collected in containers from fountains in the town. No showers. Just a damp cloth and Bob's your uncle! So...If a house has not been lived in after this time, most likely it won't have these services connected. When looking at Italian houses that have been uninhabited for a long time, we need to assess them under a much different light. Turn back the clock many decades and consider how things would have been back then. Otherwise it won't make any sense to most people if these homes are measured by today's standards.
The price is good. It is a house for one persona. Need to have a concept of a Japanese house. Tiny and practical and well design. Thanks guys. Love you.
Oh my gosh. Adoro adoro questa casa. 🏡 Sono pronta di comprare e creare una casa per noi. Siete fantastici, bravissimi. Grazie davvero da Texas come sempre ❤
More light is needed on the upper floor that should be no problem. I would put in stairs leading up to the Cantina from the street in the back and convert the Cantina into possibly a bedroom, but it needs more light.. all that said gonna be a lot of work, but I do think it would be worth it
This can become a stunning little traditional home! The original kitchen features add so much character, restoring them, plus restoring the fireplace and bread oven, cleaning and restoring the stone walls, and creating better stairs would be a good start towards making it a truly charming home. I wonder if composting toilets are allowed? That would make the necessary plumbing work a lot easier, just need to add a shower room in a corner, perhaps on the first floor over the area with that gorgeous stone kitchen sink. I'm visualising the cantina as a summer kitchen with a small dining terrace and herb/ kitchen garden, ...gosh, I really love this one!
Ciao. Not sure about the composting toilet inside town, but it would still need plumbing and drainage for the kitchen so it would be better to get it done all at once For what we have seen considering the price of renovation psqm of around €700 to €900 and the asking price, at the end someone would have a house with a value on par to other houses in the area, so it adds up.
Hi. In our town there's kindy, primary and secondary school up to 13 years old. For older kids they can go to Termoli depending on what school they're interested in such as science school. Or to Larino if interested in agricultural school
It depends on what type of professional you use and up to what standard you want it renovated. For what we have heard it would be on average between €700 to €900 per sqm which is on par with properties in the area of this size that have been already renovated considering the asking price.
The whole floor above the kitchen would have to be rebuilt, new windows created, insulation, etc. Minimum 20K. But yes, cheap and charming, thanks for showing.
❤️🇮🇹I just saw My Name in the Patron’s section Thank You 🇮🇹❤️😄 The Home It needs so much much work in renovation, but my imagination is running wild! Repair all the stone in the basement and turn it into a spa with a proper staircase going into the first level of the house.😂
Since it's a renovation from scratch I would say that you would place the bathroom wherever you need it to be to work well with your design. Someone mentioned near the window upstairs that faces the garden
It looks like there was a large doorway which originally opened to the landing on the steps in the kitchen. If it could be reopened, you could allow a lot more light in. All kinds of potential ways it could be refigured.
Oh, this place is so cool! I can imagine a fabulous outdoor dining area. I would probably put a bathroom upstairs by the window facing the garden. You could heat the entire house with a pellet stove and use the vintage style exterior electrical sockets and switches with the wrapped electric wire. I would keep it as rustic looking as possible.
Hi. This home needs plumbing throughout so it will require more than a bathroom. As we are told per sqm it can be from €600 to €900. The Home is about 60sqm
Great vid of such a cute place. I'm an Aussie living in Colorado but looking to buy a place in Southern Italy soon. What is the Aussie expat situation like there in this cute town? I know you said there are some. The other place I'm looking is Puglia specifically Oria and Corigliano d'Otranto. Thanks!
That view from the beginning is stunning!! Che Bellissima!! I’m no expert but I’m not sure the place is structurally sound. Certainly the ceiling in the main floor room needs replacing (floor of first etage). The walls look cracked! It’s hard to know how much it might cost to refurbish and renovate. The stairs need to be replaced. I imagine a good geometra would be able to advise on estimated works to be done. But it could be possible to make a super comfy bolthole for vacations or maybe rentals. The cellar (cantina) looks in need of a complete dramatic makeover. Spa? Nice!! 👍

I so want this place!!what a perfect small home!!!!
What a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding area!
It most probably will be off the market soon, it's absolutely cute and offers high potential ! 👍
The price is good. It is a house for one persona. Need to have a concept of a Japanese house. Tiny and practical and well design. Thanks guys. Love you.
Yes, exactly
What a beautiful little property in its original state
At our age it is too much work. But for a younger person it would be fun!
Oh my gosh. Adoro adoro questa casa. 🏡 Sono pronta di comprare e creare una casa per noi. Siete fantastici, bravissimi. Grazie davvero da Texas come sempre ❤
Spiral stairs and basement bathroom?
Reopen the big front arched window facing the lake.

There's a window facing the back that once opened will fill the room with light. At the moment it has the shutters closed
Adorei essa casa, mesmo que precisa de uma boa reforma.

Where's the bathroom?
The house is a project
I love it when you take time to show cats.
The whole floor above the kitchen would have to be rebuilt, new windows created, insulation, etc. Minimum 20K. But yes, cheap and charming, thanks for showing.
So, currently, there really isn't a toilet connection or anything?

Is there a sewerage supply to the building as I didn’t see any signs of water or bathroom?

We would too. That's the charm of this place ♥️
If I had that cash I would buy this place right now. I have a perfect plan and I am single so it would great… maybe it will be there for a while?

Is full of character a synonym for it’s a genuine ruin?
It's a synonym for beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder
Sooo cute ! How much to add a bathroom ?
Hi. This home needs plumbing throughout so it will require more than a bathroom.
As we are told per sqm it can be from €600 to €900.

Ciao Si. Many people from different countries are looking into Italy and similar countries that offer more affordable housing
