You do understand this sentiment hurts patrilinial jews a lot, right? I saw so many kids and adults at my shul feel stranded because their dad was jewish and their mom wasn't. Not accepted by the goys and not accepted by their community either-- where exactly do we expect patrilonial jews to go if no one will take them?
