@@vasseurbeauty you did your research so well! just to round things out, i have a few more tips that i like to share with my patients: 1) never wear underwear to bed. it gives your body many hours to breathe and dry out, as you’ve already noted are both so important. 2) try to remove wet clothing, especially bathing suits, sweaty gym clothes, etc. as soon as possible. we see a huge uptick in yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis in the summer because of pools and all-day wet bathing suits! 3) as well as avoiding scented products (scented washes, scented tampons, etc.) never, ever, EVER use anything flavored in the vaginal area. no flavored lubricants, no flavored condoms, no candy underwear please. yeast loves sugar and will thrive on it. 4) even mild products that claim to balance your pH are often suspect. everyone’s pH and vaginal flora are a little different, and often these products can knock out the good with the bad. same goes for over-the-counter yeast and UTI remedies; they often worsen infections. if you suspect you have an active infection, please visit a doctor! if you don’t have health insurance, many low- or no-cost clinics are out there. PS: if you have an upcoming appointment, definitely don’t use these products within 72 hours beforehand. they can make it so that we can’t read the labs that we need to determine your course of treatment! 5) remember that your partner’s hygiene plays a big role in this too, especially if you have a partner with a penis. if they’ve been sweaty all day and haven’t showered or if they aren’t properly cleaning under the foreskin, that bacteria can overgrow in the warm and moist environment that is the vagina. sometimes it takes two to tango! okay, i think that’s most of it. have a happy and healthy vagina, everyone!
Funny how things change, yet they still stay the same.. Everything you mentioned my grandmother taught us over 70 years ago. We could only wear white cotton underwear,no douching when we came of age. We brushed our teeth with baking soda, also used baking soda as an underarm deodorant. Used the handle of a silver spoon to scrape our tongue. We chewed mint leaves we grew to freshen our breath. We used vinegar water for everything, rinse our hair, soak our feet, wipe between our thighs, drink a tablespoon mixed with water for stomach problems. Not to mention for cleaning house, and cooking, and cleaning root vegetables. She never used the scented soaps, she would put them in the linen closet between the quilts, and sheets. Her perfume "Evening in Paris", she would dab on a hankerchief, and put it between her bra and slip, or the breast pocket of her dress. As for being hydrated, she said if your urine is not clear,or just a hint of yellow you are not drinking enough water. She said milk, soda, juice doesn't count. There are so many tidbits of life that she taught me,and my sisters, that we have passed on to our children, and grankids. I am so appreciative oh her, because she taught us so much that we didn't learn in school. I figured back then the schools felt that was part of home training.
Blessings to your grandmother. She was ahead of many who felt all this was taught in school or a stranger would tell you. My grandmother was like yours. Told it all.
Great job! I think as a mom we need to have these conversations with our daughters too. Vaginal health is important and if they think talking about it is taboo it will only hurt them later

Clinique Happy is my signature scent. I’ve tried many, many, MANY scents and while I enjoy them from time to time, Happy is my favorite. It’s clean and fresh with the slightest scent of orange!
One of your best! Spot on information (another RN here, screaming “Preach, Brittany!” at the screen😆). “It’s only weird if you make it weird.” Yaassss!! Thank you!
The very best way to stop bacteria from flourishing 'down there' is to cut down on sugar, (and carbs). I haven't had one problem since I did that. Good video, Brittany.
And keeping them dry. I keep an extra pair of cotton undies in my purse in a ziplock then change halfway through the day (if needed) and put the worn pair in the baggy. Gotta stay dry ladies!
I also use deodorant on my upper inner thighs, right at the bend. Keeping my bikini area hairless helps with perspiration and therefore odor. Don’t have a fav perfume of all time but am excited to try your scent service! Thanks so much! And of course thanks for your brilliant humor at the end of all your vids!!
Being a retired OB/Gyn RN I think you should definitely do another feminine hygiene video...preach! So many women these says seem to have forgotten the basics! Yes...cotton underwear 100% thank you so much for taking the time to make this informative video!
Forgotten? I never knew of these hygiene tips. Was never discussed. Have been dealing with UTI's all my life. Maybe the thyroid doesn't help. Just grateful that I found someone that talks about these issues.

Yesss! A hygiene video that doesn’t make you feel like you’re taking a health class but instead like an answer to real questions. My fav perfume is Daisy by Marc Jacobs 😍😍😍😍
Loved this video! I do hope there were men watching. I know my friend, who is a male does not get that the vagina is self cleaning and that you do not have to use soap. I had so many issues in that area and my doctor told me not to use soap in that area. All the things you mentioned my GYN has told me. My favorite scent is Design by Paul Sébastien.

Lume deodorant is the best natural deodorant and can be used under the arms, in the private parts area, anywhere you have body odor. Also, I use Rephresh probiotic and it makes a huge difference!!

I’m 50 years old and finally learned 10 years ago to “clean” down there daily with vinegar water spray. You can spray down there in the shower or after you go potty… I spray thoroughly and then towel dry morning and night. I haven’t had a yeast infection or urinary track infection in over 10 years from this method! It’s a very inexpensive cleaning… just get a small spray bottle and fill 1/2 white distilled vinegar and 1/2 water. Every woman should know about this! 😄 I’ve also used those water wipes and poured a few tablespoons of distilled vinegar inside the package. Definitely awesome!
Mine too!!! I literally thought I was the only one to say that. my dad bought my first bottle for me when I was like 13 and after all these years, still love it!

My favourite scent is Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina Misteriosa. It is soooo good! This was an awesome video, thank you! And lastly thank you for using the term body shower multiple times in the video. Most of my friends always make fun of me whenever I say body shower and they’re always like “what’s the difference?” Or “why cant you just say shower?” So you just made me feel like a normal person. 🤗 You made my day!
Another amazing video Brittany!! Such an important topic and I’m really happy to hear that their will be more videos on this. And the ending just had me dying, just too good😂😭 The boy’s acting combined with your voiceover is pure perfection😆
I’ve been in full blown menopause since I turned 42- ( I’m 49 now) and my armpits have been scary. I’ve tried so many deodorants ( natural) and the newest is Lume. I think I finally found the winner

💝The ultrafine brushes are excellent to wash the mouth. Doctors say is the teeth, gums, cheek walls, and tongue that have to be washed because the saliva used is in the hole mouth. The ultra fine brushes also prevents periodontitis. There is also fine brushes for the face and for the body. My favorite fragrance is Dasy Daze by Mark Jacobs. It lasts long without changing. It has peach and is deeply fresh, to use in sunny days. 🌷

Hello beautiful This! This was fantastic! Great job! I must say, I am a mom of a 26 year old beautiful daughter whom I tought all if these things. My mother (who worked full time, went to college part time, and raised my siblings and I as my dad travel for business frequently), tought me and my sister, and my grandmother thought her. I am just beside myself and saddened how so many women aren't tought by their mothers or family women these things. I might be too old school assuming this.. NOT trying to judge, I know life has changed and for most of us can be absolutely chaotic and maddening sometimes, but where and when did mothers stop training their daughters for success, like how to properly care for themselves. There is nothing more important or precious than training your children, in love, to prepare them for life. Caring for yourself is one if those things we must prioritize, especially as women. Thank you for doing this video for all women whom are one of God's beautiful creations. 🤗
Along with wearing cotton underwear, when washing your intimates, bras, panties, use an unscented laundry detergent and no softeners in the washer or dryer. I am very sensitive in my “lady parts” area, and I have found that this helps a lot.
Wash by hand in a clean, sanitized sink. Washers carry germs/mold/thick residue/oils in all the parts you don't see/can't reach. Stick your head in one and sniff the vapors.... Not ok for washing things that contact your particular areas. Clothes hold detergent residue over time, so after a certain time maybe throw out the underwear.
The scent I love and have worn for 20 years is Quelques Fleurs - It's a bouquet of white flowers, the late Princess Diana's favorite scent. I think it is more dressy than for work, but it is still very flexible, very feminine, and very French. Love this video. Very brave of you. It would be a good time for a mother and daughter to watch together.
THANK YOU! so many women think you need to scrub the dwon stairs area where in fact its SELF CLEANING like you said and its completely unnecessary! Everything you said is absolutely correct and I can vertify this as a medical student. So to all the gals out there, save ur money and stop harming ur downstairs area!
Yes part 2 please. I've tried Scentbird but i had a very bad experience with them. I was double billed and that led to so many mishaps. Glad that it worked for you .i really wanted to continue to use their perfumes. Take care.
My favorites are Burberry Her, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, Pink Sugar, and Ariana Grande. When I'm feeling nostalgic, l I like Liz Claiborne perfume, it was my favorite in high school in the 80s/90s. For men I love Drakkar Noir, makes me nostalgic for when I was younger. ALL the guys wore it back in the day and nothing has ever compared to it in my opinion!!
You're never to old to learn. Some of these things I knew about, but some I didn't. I appreciate the info, and I really enjoy the relaxed, humorous way you deliver these tips on such sensitive subject matter. And, what's not to love about the ending! Brings a huge smile to my face. 😁😂
I don’t use perfume as a general rule as it can play havic with your hormones. So I wear an essential oil as a perfum. My favourite is 100% Geranium oil. Gorgeous. Enjoyed the video.
Hi Brittany, big hugs from New Zealand. I love Issey Miyake, have used it for years and struggle to find a fragrance as good. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Lots of 💕
Two thumbs up for this video. Yes to a part two. My favorite scents are fresh life, fresh laundry and Gucci bamboo. I get lots of compliments when I wear them.
Chanel No. 5 and Tabu are a couple of my favorites. I prefer light scents. Over-powering perfumes can make you nauseated. I already was aware of most of the tips you provided, but thanks, anyway.
Great Advice, 👍 Thank You. My Grandmother's tip, if you have a little itch down there make a paste of breadsoda mixed with water and spread it on a pad, of course after making sure it's nothing serious. A half teaspoon is plenty. Favourite perfume is musk, I don't see much of it around anymore, but I love it. 💐💐💐
I signed up for Scentbird. It sounds lovely. My fave scent is Narcisse by Chloe. I used to pat $50 for 3.7oz. Now, it is $250- $600! Its sky high if you can even get it!
I just ordered Scentbird for the very first time. Used code. Excited! Thank you.... 2020 was rough financially, emotionally, & physically. This is a gift, to myself. As RuPaul says, "if you can't love yourself, how the hell you gonna love someone else!" Something, like that. 😂❤️
Me too! I have this spray called coochie plus (I love the name lol) and it really helps with ingrown hairs! I got it off of Amazon and it’s pretty cheap and will last you awhile
I have a nose like a bloodhound, I spend more time smelling my detergents and shampoos than shopping. My favorite scents- are exactly what you described though, right on, I'm totally going to give it a whiff! lol- Thanks!
I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for all the advice, I'm almost 70 and we older women have a problem with dribbling and the orders that come from that.
I have it, bought it because of the good reviews, and it smells a lot like absinthe or some other alcohol... not my favourite perfume because of that :)
"...is the music." Always the BEST endings. My favorite perfume right now is Bright Crystal by Versace (@misslindar). A little goes a long way. Very excited for part two!

Wonderful discussion on feminine hygiene! Very frank and understandable. Thank you. Looking forward to Part 2.
You’re always so informative!
My favorite scent is Clinique “Happy Heart” it is a light fresh scent.
I love Bright Crystal by Versace, I got tons of compliments when I wear it!
My favourite scent is Salvatore Ferragamo
Signorina Misteriosa.
I'm at 12 seconds on the video I haven't even listen to what this is all about I just have to say your hair looks so good!
@@ТаСу-ю3л me too
I’ve been in full blown menopause since I turned 42- ( I’m 49 now) and my armpits have been scary. I’ve tried so many deodorants ( natural) and the newest is Lume. I think I finally found the winner
Yes brittany! More tips! People can be clueless when it comes to self-care!

Girl!! The scent you should try next has become my all time fave is Versace bright crystal 💎 it’s aammmaazing!!

Yes, I use Nellie's Laundry Soda and the wool dryer balls and that's it!
I hand wash them and use a little bit pf white vinegar for rinsing and it makes the difference. It removes any left smell.
I have trouble finding this scent - where do you purchase it?
I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone talk about this stuff so delicately, yet honestly! I’m thanking you for women everywhere!
I love how supportive Ryan is!!! I always look forward to the end of the video 😂
One of my Top Rated Scents- Pleasures by Estee Lauder. Amazing!
THANK YOU! so many women think you need to scrub the dwon stairs area where in fact its SELF CLEANING like you said and its completely unnecessary! Everything you said is absolutely correct and I can vertify this as a medical student. So to all the gals out there, save ur money and stop harming ur downstairs area!
I appreciate these tips so much! This needs to be talked about more everywhere ❤️
Yes part 2 please. I've tried Scentbird but i had a very bad experience with them. I was double billed and that led to so many mishaps. Glad that it worked for you .i really wanted to continue to use their perfumes. Take care.
Scentbird did the same thing to me with the double charges etc. I cancelled it
My favorites are Burberry Her, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, Pink Sugar, and Ariana Grande.
Haha "Going down under". These were such great tips. The ending was hilarious 🤣.
My fav fragrance ever is Angel by Mugler.
I don’t use perfume as a general rule as it can play havic with your hormones. So I wear an essential oil as a perfum. My favourite is 100% Geranium oil. Gorgeous. Enjoyed the video.
Omg the ending 😂😂😂 I'm dying!! You guys crack me up!! Carter is the cutest little actor 😍
Hi Brittany, big hugs from New Zealand. I love Issey Miyake, have used it for years and struggle to find a fragrance as good. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Lots of 💕

Fro the lady part. You can wash with Aluminum free Baking soda. Keeps is clean and the PH in levels And especially use it after intimacy
I love the perfume Flora by Gucci. It smells amazing. When I wear it, I get a lot of compliments.
I love the silly endings you have been doing! They always give me a good laugh! :) Dior Hypnotic Poison perfume is soooo good!
Yes, please do a part 2! We need to talk about all of these things and the more we talk about it the more normal it becomes!
I signed up for Scentbird. It sounds lovely. My fave scent is Narcisse by Chloe. I used to pat $50 for 3.7oz. Now, it is $250- $600! Its sky high if you can even get it!
My fav fragrance of ALL time: Woman by Jovan. Thanks for the "girl talk."
I just ordered Scentbird for the very first time. Used code. Excited! Thank you.... 2020 was rough financially, emotionally, & physically. This is a gift, to myself. As RuPaul says, "if you can't love yourself, how the hell you gonna love someone else!" Something, like that. 😂❤️
Can I get an amen up in here?!
Thank you for your tips. My favorite perfume is by Lancome La Vie est Belle.
Hello how are you doing 👋👋😀☺️

Lancome Idole! I have literally been stopped a minimum of 80 times with this perfume. It is SO good! fresh, floral, flirty, and timeless!
I’m just start using perfumes and I really love the fragrance of ysl black opium
Omg that one smells like luxury; it's really nice.
I LOVE using together Bath and Body Works Mad About You along with Britney Spears Fantasy!!💗💗 Thank you for the great video!!💗
