This is one of my all time favorite songs♥️…it’s interesting to think about the things you stop yourself from doing for fear of disturbing the equilibrium
Don't know too much about Radiohead yet, though this is obviously a progression from "OK Computer". Song seems to me to be about forgetting about the fake structures we build in life (things Society expects us to do which can collapse at any time), getting in touch with what we really want, and going for it. Love the gentle, ethereal tone of this one ... good choice ...
No, it's about a fragile relationship. It's the "House of Cards", if you will. There's even a reference to "key parties", which is where couples have a private party where each wife of husband puts their keys in a bowl, and whomever you draw, you have sex with. Basically an infidelity party.
I sometimes think that if you are new to Radiohead then maybe In Rainbows isn't the best album to start with as it is definitely more on the experimental side. Fake Plastic Trees from The Bends and There, There from Hail To The Thief are a couple of my faves
